I recently purchased the LG SH3K on sale for ONLY $129 (regular price $279) on Friday to go with my 55" LG 3D TV in my family-room! I popped in Bluray 3D Captain America: Civil War and boy...the sounds were booming!! So...I went back the next day and picked up a second LG SH3K for my 47" LG 3D TV in my bedroom!! I absolutely LOVE this 300 Watt SoundBar with the Wireless Subwoofer!! I ONLY spent a total of $259 for 2 AMAZING LG SH3K models (Reg. $559 for 2) and saved a grand total of $300!!!!

This is my 1st soundbar purchase. It was super easy to set up as it connected with my LG tv instantly. There were only 2 things to do to set up, plug in and connect one wire. The sound is truly amplified and there are modes that you can select for listening. It has a wireless subwoofer and wow, you can hear the bass and clarity of actions in your movie viewing, music, and simply your favorite tv programs. This unit was $269 and was reduced by $110 before I received it , so for the money its perfect for my needs.. Am using in basement for enjoying our movie dates at home. Happy listening!

Pretty much if you’re wanting to get a sound bar but not wanting to break the bank I highly recommend this, it works as great as you’d hope it to, the bass is good as well as the quality of sound, perfect for television and movies. Also connecting it up to your tv and set up as a whole is remarkably easy. Works great with Bluetooth. Don’t waste your time thinking the more expensive one is better when really this is already very great. It’s like spf 75 and spf 105, the difference is only like 1%. I’d buy it again

Depending on when you purchased this unit can change your opinion of the value. Mine was on sale for $129.99, and I would have paid as much as $159.99 for a unit such as this.
Easy to set up, very good bass quality, and the sound from the bar is very crisp / clean.
Easy to connect via bluetooth to a wireless phone.
Better sound than the Vizio soundbar and sub package I purchased 6 months ago for $40 more.

This LG soundbar (SH3K) is good for the price. There are many things that could be improved upon, but that would surely raise the price. So, for the price, I'd say this is a good soundbar.
I listened to these at my local Best Buy, comparing with other brands from Bose, Sony, Samsung, Polk Audio, Klipsch, and Visio. To me, this was the best sounding soundbar in the sub $200 range compared to models from Visio, Samsung and Sony. The Bose, Polk Audio and Klipsch sounded better, but those were in the $300-$600 range, which was way more than I'd pay for a soundbar.
The sound from this soundbar is very good. Dialogue in movies is nice and clear. So much better than the tv speakers. Bass is good and not overpowering like some other brands. There is no bass or treble adjustment for the soundbar, so you have to be able to live with how it sounds. It's good to me, and sounds better than my tv speakers for sure. At least there is a level adjustment for the subwoofer.
There is no display on the soundbar at all. Only lights to indicate whether it's on or off and if it's receiving a signal from a remote. I say "a" remote, because it instantly picked up the signal from my cable remote. I don't even use the remote that came with the soundbar, unless I want to change the sound mode or subwoofer level.
Would be nice if there was at least a volume level display. I can live without that, but the thing that bothers me the most is the volume adjustment. There is a volume level where one level is too soft and the next one up is a little too loud. This isn't a problem during the day, but at night, it can be.
What I really like about this soundbar, is that it has Bluetooth to not only connect the subwoofer to the soundbar, but I can play music from my phone on the soundbar. Nice!
Pros:
-Clear sound, good bass
-Automatically powers on/off with the tv
-Subwoofer level adjustment
-Bluetooth connectivity to subwoofer and other devices.
Cons:
-No display on soundbar
-No bass or treble adjustment
-Volume sensitivity
-No cloth covering speakers on soundbar

I got this soundbar for my parents. The connections, setup, and operation are extremely simple, which is great. You connect all your inputs to the TV, then take the optical out from the TV and plug it into the sound bar. That's pretty much it. Power to the sound bar, optical from TV to sound bar, and power to the subwoofer. There's not much you can do to mess it up. It's perfect for my parents, and it doesn't have a ton of inputs and settings for them to get confused with or set incorrectly. It has adequate sound quality for it's intended purpose and does well enough for movies and music in a small to medium sized room. The imaging and simulated surround sound does surprisingly well, but you may lose this if your room is too large/open/asymmetric. The vocals are clear at all volumes, but it could be improved with a bit more "warmth" to the tonal balance. The subwoofer is adequate for music, but it lacks the real low end for some movies. For a true audiophile/in-depth movie experience, you should probably look elsewhere. Overall, it's a good system for the price. I'm glad I auditioned this piece, comparing it to the "sound base" type like zvox, sonus and bose. It definitely beats those things, though the sonus has a bit better overall sound quality, but for the price difference, I'd take the LG SCH3K hands down.

Before visiting Best Buy, I researched soundbars under $150 because I'm a cheap s.o.b. I had narrowed it down to this one and a Sony. I was actually leaning towards the Sony because my tv is a Sony and I'm a simpleton and figured Sony + Sony = magic. Tested both in-store and the LG was acoustically superior. The bass was more solid and the the mids and highs more true. The Sony soundbar was "tinny" in sound. I also like the bluetooth capabilities so I can stream my beerhall polka music from my phone. There's three different "effects" that are remotely choosable as well as a separate bass volume control. I bought this to add better sound to a 55" tv in a small space and it does just the trick. The only drawback that I do not like is the speakers on the front of the soundbar are exposed and do not come with any sort of cover. Fine for me, but if you have friends or small children that like to "poke" things, chances are they will poke one or all six of the speakers and you will not be a happy camper. Setup is so easy, even your tech-illiterate grandma from "over yonder" could probably figure it out. I'd recommend this for an apartment, dorm room, basement, bedroom, gaming setup, or for a secondary television. Probably wouldn't fill a concert hall size space, but who knows? At the price, it's worth a try.

This is probably the best addition to my home in 11 years. I had a smaller big screen TV placed downstairs because we bought a bigger one, but no one would use it. I added a chromecast for the wife about 2 months ago, and she will use it to work out but always has a headphones on while watching some Youtube channel. With the addition of this soundbar and woofer, for a cheap price, my wife is waking up the home before work. I won't complain because she's bringing sexy back. And of course, I go downstairs to watch my sports because you can feel the game. It brings a big screen to life. Upstairs we have a bose system that is 25 years old and this in a smaller room is very close to replicating that systems dynamics. AWESOME!

I bought an small Insignia ($69) sound bar first, without a subwoofer. Big mistake. Sounded like the audio was coming from a vinyl record. TOok that back and looked for something nicer but still under $200. THe salesman was urging me to buy a Polk, which sounded good, but was more money. I couldn't tell a difference. I have a LG tv, so I figured it would be fine to buy the cheaper one that sounded the same. I was right. THis sound bar sounds clear and crisp, has deep bass, and makes the tv speaker sound like childs play, all for less that $200. It sounds better than the OLD surround sound with tower speakers I had in there, and my wife is happy the big black speakers are gone. The bluetooth works great, my kids crank it up from their phones when we aren't home. First movie I watched was Furious 7 and it sounded like I was in a theater.

I have a Samsung soundbar that cost nearly twice as much as this LG and it sounds terrific in comparison. It hits the highs and lows with terrific bass output with not too much drowning in low frequency sounds. We love that we also put it with our LG tv and can use the tv remote to control the sound. This soundbar was on sale and I snagged it for under 100$ and it is amazing! Keep an eye out for bestbuy sales because they're always having new ones pop up!

My "real" home theater is equipped with Klipsch speakers powered by a massive Yamaha 7.1 channel amp... so I'm accustomed to truly great sound. But during a current new home construction, our old home sold much faster than we'd anticipated, forcing us to find an apartment until the new build is complete. Apartment wouldn't accommodate my big Samsung tv, so decided to look for a reasonably-sized 4K that will get us by, and Best Buy had a great deal on a feature-rich LG 4K LED... but the sound was just not enough. Went back and found this soundbar w/sub that was also LG brand, and although have never been a raving fan of LG for my taste in a/v equipment, was surprised with the reviews and blown away by the great price. I was certain we'd get it back to the apartment and find it to have been a waste of money, but in reality, there is no way we could ever turn this puppy up !!! Solid highs and mids, and good lows with the sub. Needless to say, it is more-than meeting our temporary needs. Had thought I'd just put it on eBay or something after the new house is done, but am now so impressed I will find a home for this thing in the new house somewhere ! Can't beat it for the price !!

We've had this for about a month now, and love the sound. It was very easy to set up and everything was included. The sound is great, especially the deep bass- love watching movies with this installed! And it has three different modes of sound, which is nice- deep bass for action movies, or a mode that enhances voices for watching the news. I also love that I can stream my music to it via bluetooth- super easy, and equally great sound (just be careful when you watch tv after listening to music, as the volume needs to be higher for music, and it can be very loud if you switch to tv and forget to drop the volume!). Sleek look, too, so it's not an eye sore beneath my tv.

Great sound bar for the price I paid, (caught it on sale) works very well, easy to install (two wires and you're done!) and looks nice. Bluetooth works well when paired to a phone or other music device. Volume is plenty loud enough for my liking and sound quality is surprisingly good, if I had to pay full price I probably would have looked at other models as this one is pretty basic compared to others on the market but for the sale price of around $160 its a great deal!! Comes with a small remote that controls all functions of the sound bar and a wall mount bracket, also a digital optical wire for sound input from the tv.

My wife and I needed an audio upgrade for our LG TV in the living room so rather than go the full on AV receiver and 7.1 speaker route, we decided on a simple and minimal soundbar setup instead and I'm very glad we chose this one. First of all, the way this bar looks is great... brushed texture with nice looking woven drivers, nothing to complain about in the looks department. Actually, nothing to complain about with sound either... the bass supplied by the included wireless sub and the remaining frequency range supplied by the 4 drivers on the bar itself are all great and full. This setup actually gives my 7.1 Pioneer Elite receiver a run for it's money in terms of sound and that is no easy feat. It's good looking, minimal, and blends well with our living room decor, and it sounds very good and definitely punches above where it's price would have you believe (even better when you find it almost half off on sale)... so... why the 4 star rating? Well I have to dock a star because of the user interface, or maybe the lack thereof?! There is no real useful status or volume indication present on the soundbar, all you get is a short power up sequence and which input you are using but no volume level, etc. A nice digital dot matrix readout like our Samsung soundbar we have in our bedroom features would make this LG soundbar just that much better. Now since our LG TV assumes the majority of the control over this like-branded soundbar it's not the biggest deal, but that extra info at a glance would be nice to have since I've become accustomed to it elsewhere, that's all. Overall I really give it 4.5 stars, but there's no half star option. I highly recommend this product.

I have an LG curved TV and wanted a sound system to replace my very old system. After reading reviews I settled on the LG, mainly because of the reviews but also because it was the same make as my TV. The hookup was a no-brainer and took literally minutes. The sound is unbelievable! If I crank up the volume a little and put on a movie, it sounds like you're in a movie theatre. The base tones are incredible - nothing I ever heard on my old sound system. You can't go wrong with this, especially given the price. Trust me - you won't be disappointed.

I really wanted a 5:1 surround bar but price was an issue. Found this one on sale and figured I'd give it a shot. I was amazed at the sound this system puts out. It's loud and clear and also has a good bit of low end thump with the adjustable wireless sub woofer . I'm very happy with this unit. I have it in a decent sized room and it can be heard throughout. And set up takes minutes. Great system for anyone looking to upgrade to a sound bar for their flat screen TV. It also has Bluetooth so you can play music from any Bluetooth device over this unit.
