I needed an LG soundbar, since I had purchased an LG tv that did not work with my very old setup. After listening to this sound bar compared to many other more expensive ones from other brands this product sounded great to my ears. With it on sale in addition to a very reasonable price I could not resist the purchase. It sounded even better once I set it up at home. The purchase process was simple with in store pick up selected online, the sound was great, and LG made the setup super easy. A great value all the way around.

I am not an audiophile, and I am not the best or the worst at setting up electronics, but this was super simple to set-up and use. We bought an LG 55” 4K HD TV at the same time about a month ago and they synced together without any fuss! The subwoofer is wireless so all I needed to do was plug it in to a wall socket and it synced itself. GREAT SOUND! I’m surprised at how much difference it makes having the sound bar and subwoofer. It was really a good value. I would not hesitate to buy this again.

First off the system sounds great! Crisp highs, deep, clear, powerful bass and every note in between rings full and true.
It’s also a fantastic value, easily on par with comparable systems that cost more than twice as much.
Last but not least is the ease of setup and day to day use. The entire sound system is comprised of two main components and a remote control.
Simply plug the subwoofer and sound bar into your standard wall outlet, they should connect to each other automatically. The only data cable you need to bother with is the fiber optic cable included. Connect the fiber optic cable from the sound bar to the optic digital audio-out-port, located on the back of the tv. Now all you need to do is turn it on and set the audio controls on your tv. This unit utilizes the LG Auto Sound Engine so there is no equalizer to worry about and with three built in settings, all you have to do is chose whether your watching a movie, the news or listening to music, adjust the bass to your liking and the sound bar does the rest.
The LG sound bar is also capable of connecting to, and streaming media from, any Bluetooth capable device or by a hard line via a standard double male ended auxiliary cable.
I have had the pleasure of owning one of these myself for about two months now. The only negative I have been able to think of at all is that if you were to lose or break the remote control, you would lose the ability to select between the three sound settings (standard-voice-& cinema) until the remote was repaired or replaced. All things considered, it’s a great value, preforming comparably to systems more than twice as expensive. It’s easy to setup, easy to operate and let’s not forget easy to transport, it’s quite light. Based on quality and value I’d give it 5 out of 5 stars.
Big stereo sound on a boom box budget! I love this product!

I did a decent amount of research online before purchasing a soundbar. What I found was basically three categories - cheap, good, and expensive. This soundbar was on sale for $119 and had nice reviews, even at a higher price point, so it made sense for me. I like the look of the bar and it sounds great, especially with the subwoofer on. The subwoofer is also wireless so you have flexibility in its placement. Overall very happy with this.

Was a bit worried about buying a sound bar from a TV manufacturerer rather than an audio company. Didn’t need to worry. Sound is almost as good as my Klipsh bar in the other room, and at a much lower price.
Bass is a bit boomy until you get it dialed in. Voice settings work well for movies where soundtrack is overriding voices. Setup was a breeze. It detected sub and source automatically.
A very good sound bar for the price.

We got this for my daughter who had a 2nd TV in the basement. I didn't want to wire a bunch of speakers and wanted to give her more volume than the TV speakers. I have to say I am VERY impressed with how well this gives off sound, and she also loves it for music that she connects with Bluetooth. Overall I am very happy with it for the price.

I am a bit of an audiophile when it comes to TV surround sound. I have a 7.1 system in my living room that I have spent plenty of time and money to get perfect.
I decided I wanted a soundbar for the bedroom. I didn't need a massive surround sound system and my bedroom isn't a grand suite. I just wanted something compact that would be an improvement over the two little built in speakers on my TV. After reading all of the reviews on several sound bars, I decided on this LG. Previous reviews were good and the sale price ($130) was excellent! I purchased online and picked it up the next day. I brought it home and immediately unboxed it, plugged it in to the TV using the optical output, then plugged the power in the outlet. Boom. Up and running with no hassle at all. The wireless sub connected itself. Clear sound. At low volume the soundbar and subwoofer are crisp and clear. At louder volumes it is still clear, but the base from the subwoofer loses a slight bit of depth. Not bad by any means, but it doesn't carry the lower frequencies as does a 7.1 surround sound system. I didn't really expect that it would. It certainly exceeds my expectations and I didn't pay a small fortune for great sound. I'm very pleased and am confident that anyone will be.

Absolutely love this speaker. The subwoofer works great and I had no problems connecting it wirelessly. The sound bar has great sound, but I had some troubles connecting it. My TV is a flat screen, but it's several years old. It does not have an optical outlet, so I was somewhat at a loss as to how to connect the sound bar. I ended up having to connect it to my dish box, which is fine, but the sound bar doesn't turn off with the TV then. You have to turn the dish receiver off as well. Doesn't sound like a big deal until you randomly hear it on in the middle of the night because you paused a show and forgot to turn the dish off. Other than that, the speakers are phenomenal. I chose to buy an open box set so I could get more speaker for my money. Everything was still wrapped in plastic, packed well with styrofoam, and secured in the box. It looked as if the box itself has been torn open, but nothing was damaged. It did not have instructions, but I didn't have a hard time finding instructions for it online. I would purchase an open box item again.

I recently purchased this item on sale, and all i can say is wow!. I have been very impressed with the quality of the sound even in a large open area. The sound comes through very clear and the wireless subwoofer works flawlessly. My only reservation with this soundbar is that it is designed soley to be wall mounted and can not just be set on a shelf or entertainment stand. Overall great product for the price

I purchased this sound bar and was debating between this one and two others. For the pricing I went with this one. It's not top of the line, but I would say it is in the middle for sound quality and thus far it has improved my television watching experience. Set up was not very difficult, and once Bluetooth connection occurred, it has stayed connected, unlike complaints from others. I would recommend for a mid-level sound bar as this one has been good so far for the price.

Just got the LG 65” 4K TV and decided to get the LG Sound Bar and Sub Woofer. Hooks up real easy, and for me that’s saying a lot, with the included optical cord. The sound it puts out is amazing. What I like best is the built in Blue Tooth. Playing a song off my of my phone to this Sound Bar is a real treat. It does sound like the musician(s) is in the room.

Everyone has been telling me to get rid of my old sub and satellite speakers with the wires for years. When this sound bar came along I had to take the offer. The in store demo was good and the price was great so I brought it home. It is the best sound quality on a soundbar for the price I paid. However, my old sub with the satellite speakers I think give me better sound balance. I really like the bluetooth features on this soundbar.

had to replace a sound bar that got killed during the past hurricane. Anyhow, quick simple and well priced was what I wanted and this sound bar gave me just that. Had the bar up and running in about 20 min. Sound is good, wish I could fine tune it just a bit more. Have used it on recorded tv shows, haven't played any movies in it, but im sure it will do just fine... no worries with this bar as it performs as needed for me

I ordered my soundbar from Best Buy online. I was give a projected delivery date and was absolutely amazed when it arrived several days earlier than I expected! The very first thing I noticed was how well packaged the soundbar system was. I had been a little hesitant about ordering it online simply for the concern of how it would be packaged and shipped. LG thought long and hard about this and came up with an ingenious method.
Setup was super easy, and connecting it to my smart TV was amazingly simple. The sound is quite good, and has made the whole TV watching experience much more enjoyable.
There are a couple of points to keep in mind though when considering this particular soundbar system. The most concerning to me is that there is no display other than led backlit icons. When I first turned it on I wasn't really even sure it was on. This is really a very minor issue. I think we get so used to electronic items displaying EVERYTHING that we tend to get pretty spoiled. Sound quality is very good but doesn't get as loud as I would like, but again, a very minor issue.
Seriously, for a great all-around soundbar system, this is the way to go.

Needed better sound from my TV in the bedroom. The Samsung TV's speakers wasn't cutting it. Added this and wow - what a difference. Better bass. Can hear the voice better. Great price to boot. Only thing I didn't like is the exposed speakers on the sound bar ,but if you like the industrial look, then this is for you.

I had not planned to purchase a sound bar for my new TV, but when I saw the price at the time I purchased the LG sound bar, I couldn't pass it up. The sound quality is great and it was easy to connect to my LG 4k HD TV. The sound bar even has bluetooth connection so I can use it with my iPod or iPad.

Great sound bar and sub. Aesthetically pleasing and setup was easy to use. It replaced our 7.1 surround sound system and receiver as we were doing some spring cleaning, downsizing and making more space in our living room. Sound packs a punch and bluetooth connection is sweet and easy to use. Highly recommend.

This sound bar and subwoofer combo sound phenomenal. The pairing was instant and the ease of use incomparable. In use in bedroom so we didn't need the additional surround channels. The option to pair with phone over Bluetooth is excellent for a quick bedroom playlist as well. Highly recommended.

This product sounds really good for both music and movies. The subwoofer has quite a bit of bass, and makes the sound feel more complete. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the diplay on the bar is minimal, so when turning on or off features, like subwoofer volume or different sound modes, there is no good way to see what the current status is.

I walked into Best Buy looking at all soundbars with an unbiased approach. I was preparing to purchase a new 4K TV, and had decided to upgrade from a 5.1 sound system to a more streamlined soundbar (disclaimer: I love my 5.1 system, but wanted change out in order to clean up clutter of hard-wiring a 5.1 surround sound system).
At first glance, I figured I would probably prefer the JBL due to personal experience and preference. I was also looking hard at the Bose, which happened to be closer to my preferred price than I expected. Nonetheless, I gave each a thorough once-over, checked on reviews, etc. Then came the sound test, and to my surprise, the LG had the best range of sound. It carries nice, rich tones and a solid, deep base.
The only issue I have with this soundbar is the disparity between each volume level (too quiet on one level, volume up by one can be too loud sometimes). I imagine more pricey options carry a better granularity between each volume level, but cannot argue with the sound quality for the price (picked up for $100 off retail).
