We're redoing our kitchen and didn't want a microwave sitting on the counter, so an over the range microwave is the best option for our space. We're in a mid-century farm house, so it's not a huge kitchen. We chose this for two reasons: it was the top pick by a leading consumer agency (wink wink) for it's even heating, and because it isn't obviously a microwave sitting over your range. It also has an exhaust fan which is powerful and quieter than many dedicated range hoods. We hate noisy appliances. I put Panasonic whisper green exhaust fans in our bathrooms for that reason. The "extendavent" allows you to remove more of the odors/steam too. The thing we do miss is the inverter function we had on our old microwave. I couldn't find anyone who makes an inverter over the range microwave for sale in the US, and I can't figure out why. The controls work well and has a good capacity. If it had an inverter, it would get 5 stars.

This LG microwave is great. It sucks up all the smoke from below on the stove with just the low or med fan. Have never had to use High or Turbo fan. No more grease on ceiling and cabinets above. The settings on the microwave are very accurate. Cooking is accurate with the minutes and food tastes great. The panel and the pull out fan is absolutely supreme.

This model has the best feature, extent-a-vent. The old microwave did an ok job with the exhaust, but this model really catches it all and vents it out.

Works great no issues. Owned for over a year now recommend.

We love the extend a vent feature f the generous interior space. We also love the backlighting input keys. Most of the smart features seem over the top. Probably not going to use many of them. But it makes wonderful popcorn on the popcorn setting. Using the automatic setting to reheat has mixed results. Haven’t tried most of the other settings yet.

This was purchased to replace a failing GE OTR microwave that came with the home. I am very happy with the purchase. The touchscreen buttons do take some getting used to but overall my family has been happy with the new microwave. I do like the viewing window however, I am too short to actually take advantage of it. I do wish I could change the chime though. We have all LG appliances except for the fridge and all of them are very song like chimes and my husband does not really like it. I do wish it could be changed through the app.

I absolutely love this microwave . It’s sleek and beautiful. With all of the bells and whistles .. I Couldn’t of made a better choice .

So far so good. Very modern design with a great ventilation feature. Only downside is the glass needs to be regularly cleaned due to fingerprints. Not surprising at all but something to consider since the controls are on the actual glass. It seems all appliance manufacturers have there reliability issues but I’ve had a lot of luck with LG vs. Samsung (utter garbage) and others. I’ll be sticking with them for a while.

Heats evenly and quickly! This is highly rated and the extended vent works great. I would recommend!

Obsessed with this new LG microwave. Everything about it is amazing. Especially the backlit menu. Amazing. I had to do my research on finding a microwave with a backlit menu. They are far and few but this is the 1! Obsessed

Every time we open the door, there is a loud creeking sound, For a such a high end microwave, I find this annoying.

Overall I am happy with the new microwave and it looks super nice. Only thing I am concerned is that…whenever ever I turn it on, I am hearing loud noise during startup. Which I have called the technician to fix it next week.

Great replacement over my 7 year GE profile over the range. Our previous microwave’s main motor died on us and we needed a replacement. This with the extended bottom panel is great to protect the screen from vapors that rise from cooking on the stove.

Strong, powerful, sounds are delightful, efficient, electricity saver, work as it should and expected. I highly recommend.

You cant go wrong. Excellent microwave. Extended vent and 400 cfm makes me wonder why I waited so long to replace my previous 300 cfm unit. Looks amazing. Catches everyone’s eyes when they come over. Even has an app where you can control it through wifi.

I have already used my new microwave over and over. I love the quick features and theLG ThinQ.
