Customers highly value the ample space and ideal size of the 20.2 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator, frequently praising its bright lighting and quiet operation. The ice maker and door alarm also receive positive feedback. While some wish for more adjustable shelves and better fingerprint resistance, the overall experience is largely positive.

I love my new fridge. My only drawback is that I have to bend to reach the back. However I realize that all the new fridges are made like this

Very spacious and nice looking fridge. Fingerprints are a ongoing problem on the stainless finish.

Purchased this frig and had to call technicians 3 times because it wasn't getting cold enough. They said to move things away from the vents in the frig which did absolutely nothing. I ended up returning the refrigerator and purchased a Whirlpool that works just great.

I really like the fridge. The glass shelf in the freezer is unusual, but I like it.

Not sure if it's normal, but it makes this weird noise on top of what it should sound like...pretty loud and disruptive to my peace in the living room.

Sleek Fridge

A nice sleek fridge that has good lighting. I purchased the silver version that picks up finger prints easy. The fridge does not takes long to become cold. Nice size for limited space. The inside shelves do not move but have nice variety of sizes.

Great frig for smaller areas

I read the reviews prior to purchasing and they were mostly good. The negative comments were about adjusting the shelves and the taste of the ice. The shelves are adjustable but it is a smaller frig so the options for where shelves are is understandably limited. I was scared about the taste of the ice so I threw away the first 3 batches. One reviewer said the ice still had an off taste after a month! I ate a whole ice cube and have had several glasses full of ice and water and have not tasted anything but water so I'm not sure what they are talking about. All in all, it's a great little frig, love the LED lights and the fact that I can see everything that is in my frig at a glance. The freezer is more spacious than my last frig and it looks great with my new stainless steel range, which is also LG and I also love. Very pleased with this purchase!

It's energy star rated, which is a feature that I wanted, and it's stainless steel, something that I wanted as well. It is easy to level, easy to set the temperature and I keep a thermometer in both the refrigerator portion and the freezer portion and find it quite stable temperature wise.
As for the shelves, the ones in the refrigerator are set just right, and the vegetable drawers are nice and deep. One thing that my old refrigerator had that's different on this one is the clear drawer is the full width of the refrigerator and shallow, so I don't wind up stacking up stuff in it only to discover that I've buried something that then goes bad.
What I don't like about it is that the shelves on the doors aren't adjustable, though they do work for me pretty well. I didn't look for that feature before buying it. Also, the compartment where I would put a carton of eggs isn't large enough to fit a dozen eggs. That seems kindly odd. I keep my butter in it, but it's a bit large for just butter, so it doesn't seem to be the right size for quite anything. That's why I knocked a star off, and given a choice I'd give it 4 1/2 stars.

Super Quiet Fridge

Initially I bought the whirlpool WRT111SFDM because of its small size and price but then I returned it because it is so noisy. After reading the review from consumer report, I bought this fridge. It is extremely quiet. 90% of the time, the compressor is not running. Even it is running, it is so quiet that you won't notice it unless you put your ear right next to the fridge.

I've had the fridge for two months now and selected this one based on reviews of fridges that would fit the space.
PURCHASE AND INSTALL: Best Buy installers were great. Although BB purchase support told me I had to buy the highly overpriced "proprietary'"(i.e. Whirlpool) ice maker connection kit the installer said I did not need it (which I already knew) but also told me I could return it. The trip to the store for a return was worth it. 5 stars to the installer, 0 stars to the customer service rep who lied - or maybe is is 0 stars to BB for encouraging phone reps to upsell.
PROS: Unlike other reviews, my freezer door does not open when I close the fridge door and vice versa. The temp adjustments seem fine, and there is no frost in the freezer. Everything seems to work well.
CONS: Like other reviews, the light is only decent for the front of the fridge and not the back. This has not been much of a problem although I did wind up sitting on the floor to rummage around the back of the second to the bottom shelf and find the relish I knew was in there somewhere.
SUPER CON - NOISES: The first two days were quiet except for the ice maker. Pretty noisy but only when emptying the ice and refilling the maker with water. Not an issue. However this fridge has a cacophony of noises - well known to LG because they have a whole page in the troubleshooting guide to understanding the 9 types of noises. I was OK with seven of the noises except, except one that is so incredibly annoying it can drive me out of the room. I am not sure if this is the "Vibrating Noise", the 'Pulsating High-Pitched Sound" noise, or both at the same time. It sounds something like a bearing is going in the compressor and the fridge is screeching for help. This is the sole reason the overall review is getting 3 stars instead of 4. It is also the sole reason I hesitate to recommend this fridge to a friend - it sound like it will fail pretty fast. Hope I am wrong.

top freezer broke down after only 15 months

I bought this in December 2016, 19 months ago. In April, after 15 month, the top freezer made strange noises which we recorded. After that, the freezer worked on and off badly. Now it does not keep cold enough for ice cream - it gets runny, and we can't make ice cubes any more in the top freezer (we never connected the ice maker). Since a repair guy we called from Geek Squat said the sealed system needs to be replaced, we contacted LG. The repair people that they require for warranty said that while the parts are under warranty, it would cost more than $700 including service fee and taxes just for labor.... for a $899 fridge. So, we will not repair it. If you buy it, buy at least some extended warranty. The 1 year warranty is a joke.
Also, while the fridge works fine, our electricity bill went up, not down, despite it being an supposedly eco fridge. Our super old one must have been more efficient, despite what people say!

Great Refrigerator

We have two full-size kitchens. . . so I bought one refrigerator in 2011 and another in 2013. We love the large capacity and the lack of protruding door handles. Have been very pleased with the LG design and both are functioning well. This 20 cubic foot refrigerator is very large. Absolutely love it!

I bought this when i moved into my new house. The space I had to work with was oddly small. This refrigerator was short enough and narrow enough, yet still looked modern. I wish it were a larger capacity, but otherwise I absolutely love it.

BEWARE not what it says

This refrigerator does not have thru the door ice or water! Regardless of what it says in both the description and details or what Best Buy will tell you on the phone and on the online chat, it is not what it says it is and good luck getting them to address it or help you afterwards.
We purchased this refrigerator for our office specifically because of the ice and water features and are sorely disappointed with what we got.
