So we had it exchanged for a new one, and this time the knock feature worked, but we've had so many issues with the ice maker. Within a couple of weeks, we realized that the ice maker was making a weird noise so LG had a technician come out and they replaced the entire ice maker unit. It's been two months, and we're having the exact same problem. We've also had the problem that others have mentioned where for some reason the ice gets all stuck in the dispenser and then you have to clear it out. We also have frost building up in our ice bucket, and because of the open-air design for the ice bucket, all of our ice tastes stale all the time. The water dispenser is extremely slow. It takes 45 seconds to fill up a 16 oz cup.
