    The quality control on these refrigerators is disappointing and especially for the price. The original unit received had a visible dent in the right door and the doors did not close nor aline properly. Because of the misalignment the refrigerator did not seal properly. Best Buy returned it and brought another one. That one also had doors that although sealing were then also visibly misaligned, and the silver on the shelves' trim (essentially every one except for one ) was visibly worn or missed in a number of spots. Returned that one as well. After 2 units we gave up. Sad, because this is one of the few refrigerators that fit in our space, and we were excited about it, both because we had owned an LG before, and being consumer report reviewers, also liked the rating that it got there. But unfortunately, we had no confidence in the rest of the quality given that simple cosmetic defects that were quite visible simply seemed to be ignored. Hope you have better luck if you purchase.

    nice looking however icemakers go out alot

    I do not recommend this product. We have had ours for 15 months and have had to have repair people out 4 times due to issues with both icemakers going out. LG and BB customer service were also difficult to deal with.

    Don't pay extra for the craft ice

    Nice refrigerator but multiple failures of the in freezer craft ice maker, 3 replacements in two years. In door icemaker also freezes and joins up cubes in receptacle on a weekly basis and has to be taken out and shaken up to free things up again.. Seems like poor design issues.

    Craft Ice Maker was a big factor in selection, but failed in less than 24 months....there are class action lawsuits pending against LG for this very issue!

    The fridge door slams really hard, to the point of damaging the door, and LG simply says that is the design. Bad design.

    Bought it for the craft ice. The ice maker only worked 3 months before making all the terrible popping sounds. Even the regular ice maker freezes all the ice in the corner and prevents new ice from being made. Avoid

    Absolute garbage

    Absolute trash. After 1 year of owning this piece of **** and just slipping past the manufacturers warranty, my ice maker stopped working. I defrosted the refrigerator for 8 hours, then turned it back on and i am still getting th F1 E error code. So that most likely means that the fan motor is bad. I had a GE for 11 years and never had a single problem. I will never purchase another LG product. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!!

    Compressor goes out on freezer goes out after 4 to 18 months. Class action lawsuits since 2017. Never recalled and still selling this model.

    DO NOT BUY. The Craft ice maker died in less than 4 months. I purchased this refrigerator to replace a Samsung unit that had ice build-up and a faulty ice maker. LG has said they will replace the ice maker for me for free. Best Buy completely washes their hands of all issues once the 14-day break-in period is over so they were zero help in this matter. I will never buy another appliance from Best Buy.

    6 months and already an issue with the icemaker. LG customer service is borderline useless. I am not sure how this will get resolved but not a good start with this refrigerator

    Arrived with dents in the door, had to wait an extra 2 months for a replacement - but that’s not necessarily in LG, but worth mentioning related to the delivery. 13 months after purchasing the ice maker stopped working. Reached out to LG but they’ve been radio silent. For the price I’d expect much better. Even when working, the ice maker is quite slow and low capacity compared to our old fridge (KitchenAid, also an in door I’ve maker).

    Had issues with it at 1yr with CF E error had repaired. A year letter issue is repeating itself will cost $400 + to repair. Best b buy was terrible to work with.

    This is a beautiful fridge but no matter what we do the water and ice cubes taste like chemicals. We ran the filter for more than three gallons and it still tastes terrible to the point where we had to buy bottled water and bring out our old Brita. We had the geek squad come out and determined it is not the filter. We are miserable and will need to return it, probably.

    Fan is Noisy - if you want quiet, don't purchase

    Very annoyed.....$3500 annoyed. The fan noise on our unit is loud - period. I can hear it over my laptop fan, two rooms away. I can hear it from upstairs. The fan noise is 24x7. We just purchased the unit and we were told the unit might be noisy for a day. It's been three. I purchased this unit because we were told it was quiet. It's far from quiet. The compressor noise is very low.

    This refrigerator is complete garbage. In less than a year 5 service calls stemming from the fridge not making ice or shutting off completely causing ice to melt and food items to go bad. Stay far away from this fridge or make sure you have an extended warranty because you will need it,

    You would think a fridge with two ice makers would have you skiing on your own slopes but not this one. The craft ice maker takes 18 hours to make 6 balls of ice. The regular ice maker cannot keep up.

    After less than a year a craft ice maker had to be replaced and just after one year warranty expired the indoor ice maker stoped working and LG said sorry but your warranty expired. Do not waste your money!

    Extremely Quiet

    I originally bought a different fridge (GE Profile) but ended up returning it because the noise it made was unbearable. I went looking for a quieter replacement and this one worked out perfectly. It is possibly the quietest refrigerator I've ever owned. I pretty much cannot hear the hum of the compressor unless I'm standing right next to it. It will make the occasional sound when it drops freshly made ice into the bin and re-fills the ice maker with water, but aside from that, it is very quiet indeed. I haven't owned this unit long enough to discuss long term reliability, but my other initial impressions are very good. The most important thing for me was noise level which the LG wins by a mile, but other factors also work out in favor of this fridge. The size at 23.5 cu ft is a bit larger than the 22.1 cu ft GE unit it replaced, and even though 1.4 cu ft doesn't sound like much, it is noticeably roomier inside. The craft ice option is also pretty nice to have. The only drawbacks I've noticed so far are: 1. The measured fill feature is pretty much pointless because you still have to push back on the dispenser to get it to dispense water. The hands-free auto-fill feature on the GE was more convenient to have. 2. There's no removable drip tray for the water dispenser. 3. I would have preferred a flip-up dairy/butter compartment at the top of the right-hand door instead of just another shelf, and more adjustability (height increments) for the other shelves in that door. Overall these drawbacks are minor so I haven't taken off a star. Long term reliability is yet to be determined but I'll be sure to update this review if I run into any problems. Finally, another reviewer noted the water from the dispenser tasted a bit plasticky. I had the same issue and eventually realized the water filter was not correctly installed by the delivery person. You need to make sure the filter is twisted in all the way and the arrow lines up with the notch on the filter. Once this was fixed the water tasted perfectly normal.
