    Super Quiet!

I was going to buy the same old brand as the rest of my kitchen appliances. Sal at the Mid Rivers store went over what I was looking for and told me that the LG had everything I wanted and was the quietest dishwasher. I thought, no dishwasher is ever quiet no matter how much it claims to be. I trusted him an went with the LG. I sat on the floor in front of the dishwasher the first time it ran, all I could hear was a muted sound of water running! I always ran my dishwasher at night because it was so loud, not anymore. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. My dishes are even cleaner than the old dishwasher could ever get. The adjustable shelf is amazing, haven't found anything that I can't make fit. The steam option blasted off baked on food so I don't have to had scrub the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher, just rinse and load. I think I have OCD and this cleans better than I do. The best feature is the LED lights that indicate that it is running. This dishwasher is so quiet the only way to know its on is by the lights!

Dishwasher cleans everything wonderfully. Operation is very quiet, I actually opened the door to make sure it was running. Our old Kenmore was so loud we had to turn it off when watching TV. Love all the choices to customize the load, from steam, to water temp, to water pressure top and lower rack. Great product!

Amazing Dishwasher Love the Third Rack

    Posted .

I've had this dishwasher for about two months and it is absolutely amazing. My old dishwasher (6 Year Old GE) cleaned well but it was noisy as all get-out so I couldn't wash dishes and watch TV at the same time. This dishwasher is uber-quiet. When I first got the dishwasher i couldn't believe it was on so I would go into the kitchen to check the LED indicator. What really sold me on this dishwasher is the third rack. We have a lot of small items like ramekins and chopsticks and the third shelf is perfect for them. I also use the extra shelf for my chef knives and no problems there. In terms of cleanliness: My old dishwasher had challenges with the so-called Nutella knife- but this one takes care of that on the first wash. Also, there are no exposed heating elements on the bottom so I am able to put plastic items down there. I have accumulated a lot of plastic and this is great for some of my taller water bottles, etc that are cumbersome on the top shelf. I had never considered the benefits of the sanitize rinse cycle before, but I'm a little OCD when to comes to handling raw poultry, so it's great to blast off my cutting boards etc with the extra high temperature sanitizing rinse. LG also makes this version of dishwasher without steam. It took me a while to decide if I should spend the extra money to upgrade to steam. Given that I'm going to have this for over ten years, i figured that I might as well take the plunge and spend the extra $100 to upgrade. I haven't used the steam on delicate glassware yet, but I have used it to blast through some baked on casserole dishes and icky pans and it definitely works for that purpose. There aren't negative points for me but they may appeal to some people so I will throw them out there. My old dishwasher had a (noisy) grinder/disposer mechanism that this dishwasher lacks. Instead, there is a little mesh basket that you need to pop out on a periodic basis and rinse in the sink. That's really easy to do, so no biggie for me. Also, the cycle takes about two hours due to it's energy saving features. If you are cooking for a large family or running several cycles per day then you may want to buy two of these dishwashers.

We really hesitated to buy this model due to some comments about poor cleaning and poor drying. Took a chance and have been totally satisfied! Really don't understand where those comments came from because we are getting perfectly clean and very dry dishes. And they are dry immediately after the cycle is complete. We use Cascade Platinum packets, and Cascade Complete rinse aid, which is what we used in our old dishwasher. Maybe these help, but we really think its just a well designed dishwasher. Would recommend this dishwasher!

The Main reason to buy this product to me was the 3rd shelf because I am using a lot of chopsticks and they are easily fallen down into holes of 1st and 2nd shelves. Yes, it is great to Asian people like me. 2nd reason was the steam dry feature. I justified $900 price with this feature. But ironically I have not used this feature at all. Control panel is beautiful and simple. The best thing of this product is that I can barely hear its operation noise. It is very, very quiet!!! I love this.

    Capacity Design Is Great

Although the sales rep tried to sell me a cheaper dishwasher I went with this one because it matched all my other LG kitchen appliances. I can now wash my Tervis 24oz TALL glasses on the top shelf where they belong. The big/long utensil rack on the very top is very useful as we always had to lay them down before, this tray is also adjustable. I love that there is not a big hole in the middle of the bottom rack where the sprayer used to extend to wash. I guess you can tell it's been a while since I had a new modern dishwasher. Was very surprised that it really dried the dishes without a heating element. I do however have to comment on the soap dispenser. Most detergents are now in pods or solid as is Finish Quantum which is recommended for this dishwasher. However, you cannot fit a pod into the pre-wash dispenser, so I just throw my pre-wash in the dishwasher. I always use the Steam cycle because I use my dishwasher about once a week and it is mostly glasses and silverware. The unit is sleek looking, quite and the control panel is more simple than my old dishwasher, so hubby can under stand what cycle to use, just press power and then steam and shut the door. I don't know that there is any power saving feature by using the option to just wash upper or lower, wish they had a clear front display, I would like to see this in action. I have not had this dishwasher very long, but if it is as good as my other LG appliances I will be happy.

    No More Scrubbing

I wanted to get a dishwasher that I didn't have to wash the dishes completely first. I decided on this one because of the steam function and the quietness. I wasn't thrilled with the price but I'm totally happy with this product. I've had it several months now and I'm still examining each dish when I empty - but I'm never disappointed. The only thing it won't clean is my oatmeal bowls - but I don't think anything will clean those except hard scrubbing! It's also so quiet that we can't even hear it until it drains. I am so jazzed about this dishwasher!

. It is a very nice model . Looks great, is whisper quiet and dishes are cleaned just as advertised. The steam feature is outstanding and again works just as described. I would highly recommend this model. It is like most stainless steel appliances sometimes challenging to keep clean.

We purchased the LG Dishwasher on sale the day after Thanksgiving (2012) because our old Whirlpool Goldline was not doing the job anymore after 8 years of being used almost daily. It was delivered December 3rd, they took our old one and installed the new shiny LG unit. General: This unit is super quite, easy to use, and plays a "easy on the ears" song at the end of the cycle:-) Usage: We have glass wear that we use on a daily basis (plates, bowls, etc) that come out looking like knew. Love the small (third) rack feature, perfect for large knives, serving spoons, chop-sticks and small dip bowls. Features: The height adjustment feature of the racks makes dish-washing even larger items a snap. We have several large all-glad pots (brushed stainless steel) that come out clean and looking great (no tarnishing). Looks: Beautiful stainless steel quality, easy to clean and easy to keep shiny. It almost matches our Samsung Fridge and since they are not directly next to each other the difference is not noticeable. The unit is sleek and modern but fits our more traditional kitchen well (Dark wood Cabinets with brushed steel handles). Overall: Very happy with the purchase, with the service of sale, delivery and install and how the unit performs. It may not be a "cheap" unit but thus far it appears that it was worth every penny we spent on it. Happy Shopping!

Dishes had to be clean going into the dishwasher or nothing would come clean. Then, it had to be run on the heaviest steam setting to do any good. The cycle was over 3 hours long, very hot and smelled like burning plastic. It claimed to be quiet, but we couldn't watch TV in the adjacent room if the dishwasher was running. The rack design is poor and the fold down portions no longer stay put. The inside is constantly stained and there is no air dry function. Poorly engineered in so many ways. All around awful. It had to be repaired twice and the third time was the worst. Just junk and I purchased another brand. I went with a Bosch 500 series to replace this one and I love everything about it.

We got a Kitchen Aid dishwasher a few years ago. It was rated top of the line. We had problems with frequent problems ranging from parts malfunction to water leakage etc. Luckily we had an extended warranty from Best Buy. After several repairs it was labeled as repairable and Best Buy offered us to buy a new dish washer. After an extensive review of dish washers we settled on LG because we have an LG fridge that we are happy with plus this one has low decibel rating, covered heating element & guess what cheaper than our ailing Kitchen Aid dishwasher. After using this dish washer for one year our family is extremely satisfied and happy with this washer. It is quiet as a whisper, the interior is very flexible for dishes, pots, utensils etc. Without reservation all our family highly recommends this dish washer. Above all we are also satisfied with Best Buy's extended warranty.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite and was not pleased with the overall performance. Returned it for this LG model. I was fortunate to get this item ons sale for under $800. Unfortuantely, it made a whistling sound and was noisier than expected. I returned it for the same model. After installing the 2nd one, I have been completely satisfied. It's nice to have spotless glasses and the flexibility of a half load and 3rd rack.

I think this diswasher is the best ever and totally worth the price. Love the top rack perfect for small items like lids for tupperware. Husband says that the bottom rack is too low but it isn't bad. I like how larger items will fit in the bottom compared to our old dishwasher. cute sounds

I bought my LG set, Fridge, Microwave, Stove and Dishwasher. Love how it looks and the first 9 months wer're perfectly fine. Unem not until I called LG because me dishwasher was making a very loud noise. So they sent out a service center and they "replaced" the pump assembly. The noise continued! I called LG again ad told them it wasn't fixed, only to be given the excuse that they aren't responcable for them not properly repairing the dishwasher!!! After many months of calling getting the run around. I ended up putting out $250 for another company to come and repair the problem. LG did nothing to help me and refused to get involved with the repair company THEY SENT OUT TO "REPAIR" the noise. In the end the noise was caused by a small piece if plastic being trapped in the pump! POOR customer service! Oversea reps and I couldn't understand them and they did not understand me or the problems. Really regret not buying a American made product!!!!

Having purchased ALL brand new appliances for our home from Best Buy (fridge, dishwasher, range, microwave, washer and dryer) sales rep talked us into LG products. This dishwasher has been nothing but problems. Even though it is still under warranty (not even the extended warranty- but the original, as these are almost new) Error codes ALL the time. The contractors that LG has, do not want to do warranty work. you will wait for weeks for an appointment, and then they don't show. Call back - its another month. Call LG, email LG, no help at all. I would never buy LG products again based on this poor service with a product. I have read online this product is a problem.
