Great Dishwasher that fit a tight spot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher fit the bill as it is about a half inch less tall than other brands which fit the available space in my kitchen. Other brands would have required me to either lift up and remove some flooring or I would have had to lift the counter top for installation. To top it all off, the controls are hidden nicely when the door is closed, it washes the dishes spotless and it is very quiet in operation; it's hard to tell that it is washing. Overall, an excellent buy. Free Best Buy delivery and installation due to a running promotion only sweetened the deal.

Worst appliance I have ever purchased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this dishwasher about 3-4 months now, and have tried very hard to like it. This is the worst experience I've ever had with any appliance. There is nothing mechanically wrong with it, and no I didn't get a lemon. It just stinks! Here's a list of my biggest complaints: 1 - DOES NOT DRY!! Every single wash, the only thing I can do to have the dishes dry, is to partially open the dishwasher after it completes, and leave it open for half a day or so. Otherwise, even days later there is water all over everything. And yes, water spots all over everything. 2 - None of the various cleaning "packs" such as Cascade makes work with this dishwasher. The cover for the cleaning agent either does not open at all, or it opens partially and the cleaning pack only dispenses a small portion. The rest is a messy muck left behind and dishes DO NOT GET CLEAN. I ran/re-ran one 3 times and it never dispensed more than a small portion. Will have to start using liquid cleaners. 3 - The adjustable tines on the bottom rack -- thought this was a great thing to have vs. my old GE model. The reality is, these things fall over every time you set a dish in, whether you want them to or not. Very annoying. And they are misaligned in several places. 4 - Usually has a bad odor after each wash. I'm told this is typical of stainless steel dishwashers, but that doesn't make me like it any better. Understand that I scrub all food off every dish before it goes in the dishwasher. Especially for the price, this thing is the biggest waste of money I've ever experienced. There are no food clogs or anything of the sort causing these issues. Everything is set up properly. When the old GE model that came when our house was originally built 13 years ago FAR outperforms this model, that should tell you everything you need to know. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!

Love this dishwasher!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worth the extra money for this quality dishwasher. We used to have to run the delay because our old dishwasher was so loud. We can run this one anytime because it is so quiet. Dishes are super clean. I like the silverware organization trays. Controls out of sight and reach of kids is great.

Quiet, flexible, stylish and cleans well!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this dishwasher! I read other reviews about this unit not getting items dry. You have to make sure you use a rinse agent (just like any dishwasher that you buy recommends). Also, certain plastics won't dry completely, and they didn't either with my previous heated dry model. I love how easily the racks adjust. I did have an issue where my husband loaded a cookie sheet and didn't adjust the rack, so the spray arm would hit it. When we went to unload the dishwasher, we noticed that the cascade pack was only partially used and we had to move the rack up and redo the cycle. Came out great, this was due to user error. I have had this for about a year now and have never needed to clean the filter. I don't prerinse my dishes, I just scrape of the big chunks. Very easy to operate, load and does a great job of cleaning. And it looks great, too!

Awsome dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher is amazingly quiet and does a great job. We love the look inside and out. Fit perfectly under our counter and have no complaints. We purchased a gas stove and microwave at the same time and both of them are great also. One change that would be nice is to have the displays on the refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher all the same color.

Must get a pro to install this one
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 3 old dishwashers, including a Maytag that all fell apart or made weird loud noises after 3-4 years. So I just love this silent machine, It looks cool too. FYI I have seen reviews that coplain about the difficulty of installation and that it didnt work right and I believ it is becaus ethey did not pay a pro to get it insyalled correctly. Because ours is everything it is advertised to be. Best Buy did a great job btw.

Elegant and quiet with plenty of space...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Professional installation will likely be required. Make sure to check with a qualified master plumber before purchasing any new dishwasher. Our house is fifty years old and required a small fortune to bring up to code. Improper installation will likely cause this unit to function improperly and/or become damaged. This particular model is very energy efficient to the point it does not have a heating element for the drying cycle and requires a drying agent. Failure to maintain the minimum levels of the drying agent will definitely cause dishes not to dry properly and may require some manual labor with a dry cloth. Make sure to clean the trap! This unit does not have a great waste disposal system and the filter should be cleaned before and after heavy uses. Do not be fooled by how quiet this unit is. It is definitely running! Do not confuse this mid-tier unit with that of a Bosch or your 25yr old KitchenAid -- but if used properly it works extremely well for those on a budget. The adjustable racks do take some time to get used to, but make it very easy to load her up once you get the hang of it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Really like it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only annoying feature is the folding prongs. While loading the dishes, they can easily be bumped and knocked over. Not a big deal. Overall, very happy with the machine; looks great, works well, quiet!

Amazingly quiet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this dishwasher for its decibel rating and we have been very happy so far. It is very quiet. Our bar may have been low since we had a very cheap dish washer in our old house, but this one is very quiet and does a good job with the dishes.

Good cleaning performance, atrocious reliability!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t usually write reviews but having experienced two units failing within 12 months, and having seen the low quality of the various components I want to make sure that potential buyers will consider other manufacturers or at least buy an extended warranty. Could I have been unluckily? Maybe but too many red flags to ignore. The first unit leaked all over my hardwood floor on Day 1 and the Bestbuy installation crew had to come back with a new unit. They said that LG makes good performance dishwashers but they have seen many out of the box failures. They suggested that I should have bought a Bosch dishwasher instead. Nice as this was my intend before a Bestbuy associate recommended the LG dishwasher!!! The dishwasher worked flawlessly for about 2 months and then It stopped draining and aborted the cycle.. The problem self recovered by starting a new cycle. (or multiple re-tries). This repeated itself at least twice a month until my dishwasher stopped draining for good 8 months later. The LG service person replaced the pump and the bottom section and my dishwasher worked well for 3 months and then failed again this month. LG no longer have their own repair crews so I was told to schedule my service appointment directly with their authorized repair centers and that the unit was no longer under warranty. Since I have no confidence in the quality of this product, I didn’t to waste $400 on a service call to keep it working. My two options were to replace with Bosch or fix it myself. I decided to put it apart, removed all the hoses and connectors and once re-assembled, it worked again. There are also other minor defects such as the plastic rack holders that won’t stay put. I had to use tie wrap to keep them in place and the repair person acknowledge that he did the same on his own dishwasher. Lastly, the LED indicator will be off after about 3 minutes, which makes it easier for my daughters to claim that they didn't know that the dishes were clean. There is an option to keep the LED on but it doesn't work and the service person couldn't make it work either. OK now on a positive note, this unit delivers spotless dishes. This is the fifth dishwasher that I bought and it delivers the best performance by far. I also like that the washing arms can easily be removed for cleanup. The small holes can get blocked over time and this design makes it easy to remove the components and clean them.

Very quiet, great cleaning
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit to replace a 20 year old model. It matches the styling of our LG french door refrigerator perfectly. The hidden controls are easy to use once we read the instructions. We cannot believe how much room there is in this model. The flexible rack features allow us to wash any types of items in the upper or lower baskets. The silverware basket was a bit odd at first. There are assigned spots for different items. On the plus side, the basket allows us to wash large items like tongs or big spoons in it so they don't take up roon in the upper rack.

Quiet, easy to use, looks great.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For anyone with kids having the buttons on top of the door is a great feature. No more phantom wash cycles. I got this on sale form Best Buy when they also had LG free installation so that saved a bundle. We purchased this because we wanted a reliable model after our last one died after barely 2 years. I will not be purchasing Amana every again. This LG looks great and has many great features. I will update again if it dies after 2 years but I am hoping this on stands up to the test of time. Only down side is for those who like the heat dry feature then this is not for you as it has no heating element.

So far I have no complaints about this dishwasher.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher is replacing one I had for 26 yrs. What a huge difference. So quiet. It's very nice to be able to adjust the prongs to make an area bigger for bowls, pans etc. On top shelf you have an area to lay down your larger knives, utencils etc. Overall I love the machine

Works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this dishwasher, however we have had a few problems with it. We had trouble with it stopping in the middle of a cycle and called Geek Squad (who were fantastic) and found out it had a couple of parts recalled. They ordered us the parts and fixed it at no charge.

Good quality, poor design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too bad that so much went into the design and quality of the appliance but left the lower dish rack design to an imbecile. It was a great concept to have some of the support spines fold or unfold to an upright or flat position so you could accommodate many varieties of dishes. But the amount of force to push them over is so small, it can't hold very many or heavy plates before it collapses. I've broken several nice pieces of my serving set in just the few months I've owned it, and now am forced to wash many plates and pieces by hand. What good is a $800 dishwasher if it can't wash dishes??? And now i'm stuck with it for ?? years until it breaks. Don't get burned. Try another brand and look for this flaw too.

cleans really well.got a great sale price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does a great job cleaning glasses & dishes. Holds a large quantity. Love that plastic can be placed anywhere safely. The only thing I would improve would be the prongs on bottom rack fold too easily & often, by accident. Good sale price, special on free install & used my Best Buy Credit card for even more discount, so a very good price. Drying is lacking on "quick & dry", but good on "extra dry".
