    Don't buy this Dishwasher

We have a LG TV, A DVD player, a Washer and Dryer, and they are all amazing. So when the old dishwasher was starting to go bad on us, we though LG is a name we can trust. We went online and read all the reviews, and it got a pretty good score. So we went and bought it. Big mistake. Shape: It didn't fit out counter like the old one did, now we have a dishwasher that sticks out a little further and a cabinet next to it is a little harder to open. Design: It is a little lower to the ground, but that seems like a new trend with dishwashers now a days. Inside it has this fold down racks, they wobble and feel cheap, I don't think I am ever going to use them, and I am afraid the clip is going to break easily and be a pain to replace (finding the part mostly). Also, I am not a fan of where the controls are; You can kind of see them if you bend down, and maybe even access them when the door is closed if you have tiny fingers. But what is the point of that fancy looking display, when it is so hard to reach. Use: Wash Cycles are a lot longer than are old machine. Very Quiet! This is nice. But, bottom line, it doesn't clean dishes. It left a lot of dirty dishes, and even ones that were pre-washed. To tell you the truth, it washes worse than our old dish washer the day we got rid of it. What hurt the most was that our old dish washer at it worst, 12 years of service, still washed dishes better than this brand new state of the art dish washer.

Overall I went with this model because I knew I had a trust factor with the brand. A little disappointing with top rack function but overall I like the clean results.

    Disappointed

We purchased this dishwasher 14 months ago because we had a GE and a Maytag and neither held up. This model was a disappointment also. It makes a very loud high pitched noise when running. NOT quite at all. Would not recommend.

    Very nice Dishwasher

We are remodeling our kitchen and we purchased an LG refrigerator so we decided to purchase an LG dishwasher to match it in design. It is very quiet with hidden electronic controls. It has a stemware holder, 3 in one detashable baskets, stainless steel tub, 7 wash cycles and big enough for 14 place settings. My husband and I can't wait to have it delivered.

    Looks great loads awful!

I saw this in the showroom and thought it looked beautiful. The main problem is that the tines that fold for easy loading on the lower level, collapse easily. It is very frustrating because as I am trying to load it, the dishes fall in on themselves because the tines do not have enough strength. The dishwasher that this replaced had folding tines (not as many) but they were much stronger. The tines on top are not spaced properly for my bowls, and it limits how much I can load also, but that is probably my dishes. My suggestion - take 2 plates with you and see how the tines hold up - what should be a nice feature is a major disadvantage!!

nice for looks, but not function

I agree with a lot of the other reviewers on here. I've had cheap builder grade GE's that did a better job than this. You have to prerinse everything thoroughly and even then the dishes aren't super clean. No heat dry, so the only way to get everything fully dry is to open is up and leave it open for a few hours. Mine also gets a funky smell and we use the dishwasher "cleaner" pretty regularly. The Finish soap packs fit perfect in the washer, and that is what we use. The functionality of this dishwasher sucks. On the plus side, it looks beautiful and I love that you cannot see the buttons.

    HATE this dishwasher

I HATE HATE HATE this dishwasher. Did I say HATE? It doesn't clean dishes and my glasses all look TERRIBLE. I've tried different cycles, the extra dry option etc. It sucks. Truly. The hybrid drying system is a joke. And YES, I do have Jet Dry in the machine. I want to throw it out the window. The other thing that is a bit ridiculous...a normal drying cycle is 3 hours. Yes 3 hours. This machine is so terrible.

    Stay clear -Only lasted 1yr2months-

I purchased this product because I was hopefull paying more for a high rated product would be successful. We have had nothing but trouble and after 1yr and 2months need to replace it. We keep getting a "eo"drain error which cant be fixed. We never did like the rack system as the racks tines fall flat with EVERY load we run and need to be reset. My dishes are all chipped because the racks dont hold up. We like the big size but usually end up hand washing the dishes bc the cycles will never finish with the drain error that cannot be fixed. We are told that is pretty much the life on most lg appliances 1-2years-very dissapointing. STAY VERY CLEAR of this model. Lg has not been able to help with either problem.

Purchased a home with a 2 yr old LG dishwasher and the inside is terrible (looks dirty) runs for 2 hours, doesn't clean well at all and has few options for washing, no drying cannot be selected and even the light and delicate cycles take 2 hours?! Really? The previous owner must not have used recently they left coffee inside to not smell bad! I will not replace with an LG nor will I pay to fix this one.

Electronic controls failed on the 2nd day.

LG dishwasher was installed by the Best Buy installers and tested out OK. Installers were very nice and competent. Two days after installation we had our first load ready to wash and the electronic controls / display went haywire, with garbled numbers and flickering display buttons. Flipped the breaker off and back on again, no change. Checked the manual, called Geek Squad, called Best Buy etc. to diagnose and arrange remedy. Electronic controls will be replaced. Best Buy receptionist would not let us talk to the appliance department until we threatened to come down to the store and discuss a replacement unit in person. Not happy so far with the unit or with Best Buy.

Very disappointed it broke in 6 months.

We bought all brand new LG appliances for our kitchen and a new washer and dryer too. We bought all LG appliances because we have purchased 5 LG tvs in the past, and love them. We constantly get an error code "E1" and have tried everything to investigate the problem. There is no kink in the line as the code references. The cycle goes on and on and never stops. We have to turn the breaker off in order for it to stop running. The bad part of that, is our stove and microwave are on the same breaker. Very inconvenient because when we turn the breaker back on for the stove, no matter how long breaker has been off, the dishwasher starts running where it left off. The dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in to clean. LG put us off after I faxed the receipt and proof of delivery at their request. They totally gave us the run around, and we had no call back for over 6 weeks. I finally started calling every day for 2 weeks and finally, I got some service. I never expected to pay $800 on sale, and have it break in 6 months. Very disappointed!

Broke down twice in first 6 months

We bought this dishwasher with high expectations given the reviews we had read and knowing that it was the mid-price option for the LG brand (we wanted an LG model to match our LG double oven). Within 3 months of purchase, it stopped working. We got two error messages. Best Buy came out within a week, they told us that LG needed to come out. It took another week for LG to come out and they told us that they needed to order parts. That took another week. The dishwasher worked another 3 months and malfunctioned again with the same error messages. Best Buy agreed to order the same replacement parts for us and came out within a week. However, the replaced parts didn't fix the problem and now we have to wait another 2 weeks to get new parts and another appointment to be scheduled.

    Piece of Junk

    Posted .

This dishwasher is a piece of junk. We have had it less than two years and it won't even turn on. We bought a service plan on it and now (after waiting weeks for the "geek squad" to fix it) we are still waiting on a part. This is the third LG appliance we have had a problem wit and all issues we have had with these appliances seem to be well known. After 3 weeks without a dishwasher geek squad told us today (a day before they were supposed to come out again to try another part) they were cancelling our appointment and we have to wait now another week and half before they can do anything about it. If I was going to spend $700 on a piece of artwork (because currently that is what our dishwasher is), I would pick something prettier. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Stop cleaning dishes shortly after purchased, went to best buy and referred to LG rep. The rep said they would stand behind the product but wanted us to try a few things first. This process took 6 months of horrible communication from LG rep and no fix. LG rep did not follow up on promise to fix (now out of warranty). I am stuck with paying a ton of money to fix a bad product. Will go to Samsung going forward, way better product and service.

    Worst dishwasher ever

Bought this dishwasher in May 2012. From day 1 this dishwasher did a horrible job. Regardless of if I pre-rinse my dishes, they do not come out clean. Even the interior of the dishwasher after a few months was building up residue. Replacing this dishwasher with a reliable brand after 6 months of wasted time, energy and water. Stay away from LG
