Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review."178 degree viewing angles"?!?!!?? ...perhaps the LG salesmen mean you can see THERE'S A MONITOR THERE at "178⁰" - because by no stretch of the imagination does it display a usable image at anything like "178⁰" This panel probably makes a fine TV if viewed square-on and at normal TV viewing distances. The practically perfect DCI-P3 gamut and deep blacks do produce a beautiful image, under those conditions. Sadly it's unfit for use as a computer monitor. By 45⁰ off-axis THE PICTURE is so washed-out and pink you can barely see it at all. Blacks and shadows are already fading noticeably by 10⁰ from perpendicular, so at normal MONITOR viewing distances you get an oval of nice vivid, contrasty picture in the middle of an expanse of washed-out pinkish mush. Makes for a mildly psychedelic experience, the central spot of good picture following your head as you bob it up and down and side to side, creating the illusion of the screen apparently bulging towards you. Then you start to feel sad and return it to get a proper IPS panel.
