Customers are pleased with the 38” IPS UltraWide monitor's large screen size and vivid colors, high refresh rate resulting in smooth motion, and overall high quality. The Thunderbolt connectivity is also a plus, allowing for versatile connections and potentially replacing multiple monitor setups. A potential drawback mentioned is the monitor's cost.

This is the best possible ultrawide buy there is. The extra pixel height makes all the difference. TB3 and DP get a high refresh rate which is not just for gaming. Great for productivity and amazing panel quality. Highly recommend.

high quality but not worth the price. this was about as expensive as my LG C1 but not even half as nice with things like HDR and ease of use.

Finally a workable replacement to 16:9 Sony Bravia

May add one star as an update to this 24hr replacement to 16:9 2009 32" SONY Bravia monitor once we get to know each other.
New to 21:9 had to return a 34" as it stole 2" height from working designs on screeen. This one give it back - in spades since many icons, et al. can be moved to unused screen flanks.
Graphics seem clean enough, happy to jettison the TV aspects but these days NO abundance of jacks, certainly not RCA, etc. to serve equipment still working & viable.
Speakers were not a buying plus BUT they are superior to the desktop Realtec that were A-OK.
DisplayPort was a buying plus but am still learning WHY this is is the greatest. Time will tell/teach.
EZiest setup & go "plug N play" ever = thank you!

Excellent looking monitor. Using it for a golf simulator and the pictures and videos look sharp, colorful and distinct. It might cost more then other monitors but it won't disappoint.

I purchased this monitor to upgrade an old 29” LG widescreen monitor and although it’s pricey I couldn’t be happier. I use a Windows 10 laptop for work and a Mac for personal use and both work seamless. The Thunderbolt connectivity option really helped clean up the desk of all the cords. The colors are vivid, the speakers work well, and it’s easy to use. Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent monitor. it checks all boxes, IPS with thunderbolt port, higher refresh rate. a windows PC with HDMI and MacBook Pro connected via thunderbolt cable supplied by LG, split screens works great in this setup, MacBook Pro is used as extended display. this will be used as work monitor but could be used for occasional gaming, my current PC does not have good graphics card but MBP can do 120 hz refresh rate which is good.
text clarity is great, monitor could get really bright, I have turned on the auto brightness to see how it works, it is not cheap by any means price but it is used 10 hours a day so quality is worth while.
the power supply brick is huge so if one use this on a adjustable desk it requires some area to hide it under the desk, stand is very sturdy and very easy to maneuver, very slick design but it is large and needs lot of disk space, I might install monitor arm but have not decided yet. I am using BenQ monitor light which fits ok without any issue.
LG makes some fine display we own multiple ultra fine displays and vey happy with the performance.
this one highly recommnded

I've had this monitor for three months. Had to replace the first monitor shipped in, there was a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. To note the replacement also had a dead pixel (and probably has others) but this was further in the corners where I less often look. I really wish this came with a remote.
The best feature of this product is the color accuracy. My photo and video color grading is much more consistent now.

Worth it. Eliminated a multiple monitor setup and productivity has gone up. For screen shares during meetings, I just flip open whichever laptop I’m using and share that screen so that resolves that issue. Seems to scale better in windows than mac but overall its worth it if you’re not too sure.

I could not be happier with this monitor. it's amazing!! it works beautifully- the graphics are amazing. It charges my laptop while it's connected and the size and curve have provided so much relief for my eyes. I can easily have three pages open side by side without straining my eyes or having clunky multiple monitors. I would buy this one again .... and actually did for my home office

LG's 38WN95C was well worth the wait. With 4k horizontal resolution and the added vertical height of 1,600 pixels, LG has hit a home run with productivity junkies.
Beautiful aesthetics with an excellent feature set incl: Gsync compatibility, VRR up to 144Hz, superb 1ms response rate and improved dynamic range with HDR 600 that makes game playing that more immersive.
While this IS an expensive monitor, the overall set of features and usable real estate makes productivity much more cost effective.
For those who are whining there's no HDMI 2.1, I say, "stop staring at specs and look at real world use cases". Yes, there's Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and HDMI 2.0, I personally use DisplayPort 1.4 with the 5k cable provided by LG.
For the insistent whiny gamer types, then just by the LG CX 48" OLED tv and you'll be happy with that.
As far as future proof usability, I can see this easily getting 5 yrs of steady use.
Bottom line: this is THE monitor for those who are willing to spend the money but you won't regret your decision.

While the monitor looks good and seems to work OK for the most part, the Thunderbolt connection is buggy and with multiple MacBook pros worked then didn't, then had to change the port on the computer being used for the display to activate, didn't work when plugged into a Thunderbolt dock, and barely works in a VESA mount because of how inset the screwholes are. Overall mediocre for the money.

Great monitor. It's wide enough to replace two 27" monitors without a bezel or having to constantly adjust the angle between the two. I think this is the perfect size ultrawide since you can look on the far left and far right without having to move your head.
Coming from a 4K monitors previously, I was nervous about the quality but have found the image to be just as crisp. That said, it IS slightly noticeable when looking at icons/text closely, but not noticeable in everyday use.
I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and recommend this monitor to anyone looking for an ultrawide monitor for use in productivity and gaming.

I primarily use this monitor for work as a software engineer and it has totally exceeded my expectations. USB-C charging from the monitor to my MacBook Pro is a godsend. The screen looks great and performs flawlessly.
The dimensions are perfect for keeping 2-3 windows open at a time, without having to lose a ton of horizontal real estate.

Significant improvement over my three year old Dell ultrawide. HDR, bright screen, feature-rich and pixel perfect. Purchased two for the household and both are working brilliantly. While I can drive a 4K screen, it's just hard to give up the real estate after being an ultrawide user.
No monitor is perfect but after ample research and over a month of use I feel it is the best in class (UW).

This monitor is excellent. The picture it produces is fantastic and it's the perfect size for productivity. I love being able to have 2 or 3 big windows running at once. It is great for my development workflow. It is well built, bright, and has good color accuracy. It is expensive, but I'd say definitely worth it.

Perfect size for a single monitor setup. You can have two windows side by side without feeling like they are too narrow. I had a 42" 16:10 monitor and I find that it a bit too tall. I like how everything is right at eye level on this monitor and I don't have to move my head up and down to see the top. Colors are nice and bright. The high refresh rate makes games feel buttery smooth. The black levels are ok, but not quite as good as something like a QLED and certainly nowhere near OLED. If someone where to make an OLED monitor in this size and resolution, I would buy it.
