Great size for large family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The size is amazing....great for large families and for doing bedding. Is loud and can't get it to quit vibrating.

Great wash
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It washes very good but it does require lots of cleaning and maintance. If the door is closed next time you wash smells on mold.

Looks great but had a leak that was a design flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The jury is still out. Waiting for a part from the manufacturer to fix the drainage leak in the tub

Great Front Load Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just received my new front load LG washer and dryer and I love them. The capacity is big enough for large loads and it gets my clothes really clean. There was a stain in one of my daughter's shirts from over a month ago, that my old machine could not get out. Just one time in the new LG and it was gone! There are so many cycles to choose from, and the manual is a great easy to read guide on which cycle is best for the type of fabric you are washing. These machines are so quiet, I did have to balance them the first time I used them, but now they are perfect. I forget that I am doing laundry at times until the melody plays when they are finished. I am very pleased with my purchase!

Nice Steady Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cleans very well with less water usage. Electronic controls are pretty easy and neat! The washer is less noisy than I could believe. Had a old upright shake and twist washer and it shook and banged my whole place in wash/spin cycle (I live in a mobile home). This is smooth and hardly noticeable. Thought I may have to anchor it down, but rests nicely on a tile floor. Had to get a flashlight to look in see if it was actually washing. The people that complain about noise/shake - did they take out the transit bolts? It takes my blanket and comforter no problem. Steam clean is a nice option. Clothes come out clean and as less wet than expected. I sometimes just let clothes hang on a hook to air dry to save energy.

the washer never worked right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It didn't work the very first time I used it. It took me a year of service calls, before they finally replaced it .the new one still has issues, but it is like talking to a brick wall to get them to fix it. Or should I say try to fix it. I am so done with best buy. I have been a very good customer of them in the past. No more.

Great machine!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had HE machines for years, and this one out performs any I have had or have used. The 'between-drum' gasket disintegrated on our old front-load machine, and the service company advised us to not put any more money into it. I asked the service company, from their perspective, which brand was reliable and easy to repair, and hands-down, they recommened LG. So did all the consumer research I did. I was surprised at how much cleaner our clothes are coming out. This machine handles everything from delicates to horse blankets! It has a self-cleaning feature, is VERY efficient, quiet as a mouse, and easy to operate. LOVE the steam feature for my husband's soiled work clothes. Best Buy was a pleasure to deal with. I couldn't be happier!

Worth every penny
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a major, major purchase for me but it was well worth it. This washer (and matching dryer) work very well, make very little noise, use very little energy or water, and do an exemplary job of cleaning. I've had the machine for about six months now and have used just about all the functions and cycles. The washer is so quiet that you can actually hear the clothes smacking the inside of the drum as they move around; there's almost no motor noise. The preset cycles work exactly as advertised and the time delay wash is great for having a load of laundry done just as you're getting home from work, ready to toss into the dryer without being mildewy. The hand wash cycle in particular is really slick. Clothes come out nearly dry and only need to be in the dryer a brief while. The washer door's default closed position when it isn't washing leaves a little air gap so the inside of the machine doesn't get all funky from the residual moisture. The drum is big enough for a large comforter. I guess the only possible downside is that the machine goes kind of supernova on the spin cycle so you'll want to be sure that the feet are all level and securely planted, but all of the front-loaders I've experienced are like that. My laundry room is on the third floor of my house for some stupid reason, so I get a little vibration through the floors during the spin cycle with heavy loads. Overall I'm just thrilled with this washer (and the dryer). It's so rare to find a product that's well made and does what it's advertised to do. Refreshingly, this machine is exactly that. Best money (lots of it!) that I've spent in a very long time.

I returned for a different brand
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my third LG washer in 10 years. We have lots of kids, so we expect a shorter life span for a washer than average. The first one lasted five years, the second one lasted three. The LG 3470 lasted 6 days before it broke. There was a water inlet code, but troubleshooting brought no resolution. I would say I liked the smart technology that sent the info to my phone, but it was more of a hindrance than a help. I've ordered a different brand of washer, which I will review after I've had it for a few months.

Laundry Made Simple
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this front load washer (and companion dryer) for 2 weeks now, and I could not be happier. First off the graphite gray is a stunning color with the chrome accents. All of the controls on the front panel are well laid out and very intuitive to use. My favorite setting on the machine is the normal/default Turbo Wash Cycle. I am amazed at how quickly and efficiently clothes can be washed with this setting. I previously owned a large capacity top load washer, and I was afraid that I would not be able to wash my king size comforter in this machine. The comforter fits with ease and comes out completely clean. I find this machine to be quiet in its operation. The spin cycle works wonderfully, and it removes a lot of the water from the laundry to reduce drying times. Overall, I am completely happy with this washer and you will be too.

LG Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe I survived a top loader for so long! I love how much I can get into one load in this machine! It cleans very well and isn't too loud. I have been able to get sheets from a king, full-size & toddler bed all in one load. I have used the hand wash cycle several times & LOVE that it is gentle. I will never have to hand wash again! It is a pricey machine, but well worth it!

Love It
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer spins the clothes almost dry so the drying time is sharply reduced. This washer uses very little water; make sure to use minimum detergent. I'm delighted with the results. My cotton whites came out great. Delicates seem to get clean without too much agitation to harm them. The pre-programmed cycles are a little odd and it took me a while to get used to them and to modify them where needed [but I came to this from a 15-yr-old washer with much simpler controls]. This washer is very quiet [important to me as it is in an open back corner of living space] and does not vibrate much at all even during the spin cycle. The only feature I wish it had is a timed-soak during the prewash for my more stubborn stains and deep odors. I have good results with pretreating then prewash in this machine. Overall it is a great washer.

Great washing machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been nothing but happy with our washer so far. I have to think the person who gave this washer a 2 star review is talking about a different washer. Ours is in a pantry right next to our living room and we can actually leave the door open without it effecting our ability to hear our TV and if we close the door we can't hear it at all. As far as it's ability to wash clothes, we had a top loader before this washer got some stains out that it had left in some of our kids clothes. Another thing that we've noticed is that our clothes dry much faster then they did before. We like drying our clothes on low heat and before it took a cycle and a half in our dryer. With our new washer it's done in one cycle.

Great Front Loading Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying we love our front loading washing machine. It has a steam cycle and its very easy to use. Super energy efficient. Just load the wash, add detergent, power on and select the setting and hit ok. Done! Thats it. It is somewhat quiet compared to other units. The only problem is that you must clean the inside with a cloth or paper towel after use because if you shut the front door with out airing it out it will have a mildew smell. I believe all of the front loaders have this problem though. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some of the reviews on-line, I was skeptical about how well it would wash our clothes, especially since it uses so little water. It is important to choose the correct setting for the type of laundry being cleaned. The clothes get completely wet and stains and odors are gone. I am very happy with the way it cleans. It has the gentle cycle and hand wash cycle which are important to me. It has a large capacity so I get done faster with less loads. We have only had the washer for a few weeks and I am hoping it lasts much longer than our previous one which died after only 7 1/2 years.

The BEST
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd front loader, first one made by LG, and it is by far the best machine I have ever owned. It is so quiet and it just sits still during the high speed spin. My other front loaders (Maytag/disaster and Whirlpool) would get out of balance and would literally walk a short distance across my laundry room. After using a high speed spin on towels they come out half dry which saves energy while drying in the dryer. I love that you can add many extra rinses and the speed wash I use ALL of the time. I have not used the steam feature but it didn't cost much more than the nonsteam models (on sale# and wanted to have the option if I ever needed/wanted it. I read that some reviewers had a hard time with king sized comforters and I don't get it, I washed ours and it was great, NO problems. On some modes the washer will sense how big of a load is in the tub and will adjust the cycle accordingly. I do have the matching steam dryer Model: DLGX3071W #gas) which I also love and I have used that a few times to freshen up items and for getting out wrinkles for things like a queen sized cotton duvet cover etc. The dryer also has a dry sensor and will adjust drying time automatically so you don't over dry #most modes# and in the end you save money on energy efficency. We bought the pedestals and it was a added expense for sure, but after bending down over the past several years 2-4+ times a day #I do a lot of laundry) with my other washers I decided to treat myself and I really love that option too. I have never been so happy with a big appliance purchase, and it may sound silly and a bit corny but I actually enjoy doing laundry now. I did a LOT of research before buying the LG washer/dryer and I am not one to write reviews, but because I love this set so much I was hoping this review will help someone else out there to make the decision to buy these, you won't be sorry if you have a similar experience. Buying appliances is a daunting and expensive process and I hope this helps!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! can you tell? :) To add: Best Buy had the best deal and free delivery! Win-Win! No, I don't work for LG, or Best Buy, just very happy with my purchase.

best washer I have ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having only owned Kenmore products, I was reluctant to branch out with another brand, but the last front loading Kenmore we had only lasted 8 years and I was disappointed. We first purchased another brand top loading HE washer which was terrible and Best Buy took it back no questions asked. This was delivered when they picked up the other one. It is quiet, efficient and it got stains out of a 'dog quilt' that had been dried in for months. The steam feature (which I thought was just a gimmick) was what got those stains out. The turbo wash feature really does shave 20 minutes off of your wash cycle. It has not had one problem balancing itself to spin (the Kenmore had issues with balancing). We have only had this washer for 5 months so obviously I cannot comment on reliability, but we have not had any problems so far. It's dispenser does not get gummed up from detergent and the tub has stayed clean and odor free. I cannot be more pleased.
