I have had this washer for a year and it has been wonderful. I do laundry probably four out of the seven days of the week and on those days it is constantly running. It is great to have such a dependable machine that I feel confident will last. I especially like how many towels and/or laundry I can wash and they will all actually be cleaned. If I put too much in the washers I have had in the past, the laundry would still be dirty and I would have to start over again. I have never had a mildew or smell issue that I heard happens with other with front loaders and I have sometimes left wet laundry in it for days without worry. There are many things the washer can do that I have not even used yet. I have been very happy so far, and would recommend this washer without a doubt.

I bought this washer with the matching dryer a couple of months ago. I struggled with the purchase of these machines because of the expense but I was replacing my broken washer and had no choice. I researched a great deal on the internet, salesmen, servicemen, and consumer reports. This is my fourth washer in 30 years. I have four children and do a lot of washing. The previous washers were Kenmore, Whirlpool, and Maytag Atlantis. I am very pleased with the washer and dryer so far. The washer cleans very well and the spin dry cycle is so fast that I barely need to dry my clothes. I am sure that what I am saving in electricity for the dryer will pay for the expense of the appliance in a short period of time. I do wish the temperature settings were lit up.

Great washer, easy to use, have used almost all the cycle choices, if you get the drawers, great storage, although will not store gallon jugs of laundry detergent.

Overall, I'm pleased with these machines. They are a great value! After shopping around, I found that Best Buy had the best price for a washer and dryer that's pretty state of the art. The washer is high efficiency and uses very little water and detergent per load, compared to my old style washer. They are beautiful. I have them stacked in a closet and I hate to close the door. They run very quietly except in the beginning of the wash cycle. When the machine is determining the size of the load, the water turns on and off about 5 or 6 times. Each time this happens, it makes an extremely loud thump. This series of thumps is so loud, it prevents me from running a load late at night for fear of disturbing my condo neighbors.

Our first front end loader has exceeded my expectations. Heard about front end loader issues on posts, the odors , the long wash times, the loud sounds, and the lack of hot water. I expected the worste having always owned older top load models. This LG model when used as instructed has none of the issues reported with other front end loaders. You can't just throw your clothes in and forget about them for a day like a top end loader, but once you learn the routine of using a front end loader you will enjoy all it has to offer. The steam feature works well and I enjoy the large capacity. With the right settings, wash times are not that long. Overall a great product for those buying their first front end loader.

So glad with this purchase after my Whirlpool Cabrio gave out after 2 years. Extremely quiet, clothes come out clean and love the steam cycle!

We got the washer and dryer as a set. The pedestals are also a must. The best part about getting it from Best Buy was the professional installers who put it in and hauled our old appliances out. The washer and dryer combo work great together, have had it for 6 months now and no problems so far.

The washer is very easy to use. You never have to guess whether to wash hot or cold. Cleans well but I can swear it eats socks because I seem to come up short one sock every other load :-)

First front loader I have owned. Love the way it washes and spins the water out. Really saves on druing

We got this washer and a matching dryer for our vacation house in Cape Cod and wanted a unit that could fit in a first floor bathroom closet so we wouldn't have to schlep downstairs to cellar. This unit fit the bill perfectly.

The LG is a great value for the money. The features are outstanding. The overall performance is very good. The control panel is easy to read and very easy to use. It even plays a little musical number for you. I would highly recommend the LG products. We have them in our Kitchen as well.

Had to replace previous washer. This unit complemented the dryer we already had. Love the features and the fact that it uses very little water. Makes very little noise while operating.

We have been wanting to upgrade to a larger front loader, and this was rated fairly well. More importantly, this was the best washer available that fit in the same depth as our old top loader. It cleans well, but my biggest complaint is that the water intake system causes such intense back pressure that the pipes throughout our house vibrate loudly. I will be installing a relief valve, and I sure hope that fixes it. As an engineer, I can't understand why the designers made it shut the water off and on so abruptly. My second complaint is the lack of a light of some sort. I understand it would need to be water tight, but it is hard to see that all the clothes have been removed after a wash. This is especially a problem for socks, which stick to the drum. Some sort of non-stick coating might have relieved this problem.

My brother actually brought the same washer and dryer set. After washing clothes in his set I purchased my own. I love it. I had a whirlpool and it just doesn't compare.

This washer cleans the clothes really well. It offers many different washing cycles. It saves so much water. I love it!!

I love all of the options, but the many buttons/dials can get confusing. You need to keep the manual handy to take full advantage. The base is an expensive but necessary option. There can be residue build-up on the window, which makes you wonder if that is being left on the clean laundry as well. Ultimately, the thing is awesome, and well worth the price. Especially when you consider the savings generated by energy & water efficiency. Always feels good to make the "Green" choice, too.

This high efficiency front-loading washer is the best washer I have owned. The price of it (approx $900) is definitely worth every penny. The wash is very efficient in cleaning individual loads with very little water use. The many options in cycle, water temp, soil, rinse cycle, etc are very easy to use and monitor. A musical sound will let you know when the wash is done. The graphite steel finish looks great! We've had it for a month and have not any problems - we love it!

I love the looks and also gets my clothes very clean with alot less time and water.
