I brought a LG WASHER AND ELECTRIC DRYER and I love them both. They wash the clothes efficiently and very clean and the dryer dries in a short time. They both are easy to use too.

Since the day I purchased, it has not been washing clothes well. Not only do some heavily soiled items come out still soiled, other items, mainly black ones, come out with these white patches. I am not sure if it is lint or what, but they are so difficult to remove that I end up having to wash the item again, or spot wash old school. I did not buy a washer to have to rewash items, particularly black items that then fade sooner than necessary. It has been a frustrating experience that has made me miss my front loader. I hope being a Total Tech member comes in handy here and a solution is found.

This washing machine has many different settings. However, there’s only one that you can really use. The machine does not allow enough water to wash clothes. You have to use the deep fill every time. I am very disappointed and wish I could return it. I attached photos. The first one with very little water is what the washing machine felt it needed for five sweatshirts. Like usual I switched the setting to deep fill and there was enough water for the soap to take action.

This is by far the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned. The washer barley gets the clothes wet and you have to put it on the deep wash cycle and even then sometimes the clothes come out smelling un washed. The dryer does not collect the lint good and its always stuck down in the trap or still on the clothes.

Brand response from LG Digital Customer Care

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Washer (WT6105CM) model. We understand how important it is for your washer and dryer to deliver a thorough clean and efficient drying performance. If clothes aren't fully saturated, use the Deep Fill option with the Deep Wash cycle for optimal washing. Ensure loads are evenly distributed and not packed tightly to improve water flow.
Decent basic washer, you can change TEMP of cycles

Bought this on Labor Day sale, paid to have our old dying 25 year old Maytag hauled away. Got the impeller version, almost went with a front loader but decided to shave a few dollars.
All in all a decent washer, we use it daily. It is pretty basic compared to a front loader. One of the DUMBEST things about it is this – It comes with a short version of the printed manual, they DID NOT print the WASH CYCLES !! You have to download the manual online to get the full version. It shows you can change the water TEMP on most cycles as it's not obvious how to do that since there's only one main dial and the 'TEMP' and 'Water/Rinse' buttons don't look like actual buttons. Out of all the pages to skip printing these are the ones they should have included. Ridiculous!
Other things we don't like is there's no timer countdown, as some modes can take a long time to finish. I washed my bed comforter because it now fits, ran it on 'Deep Wash' with hot water and also selected 'Deep Fill' to ensure good saturation. It took just over an hour to wash.
CONS:
- No full manual printed, missing wash cycles and how to change temperature and water levels.
- No count down timer or display.
- Top door locks when cycles are running, you have to cancel or pause cycle to unlock.
- Impeller is pretty mellow even on heaviest setting, guess this can be good or bad.
- Spin cycle is slower than more expensive models but does the job.
- Top glass gets steamy so you can't see through it.
- No fun song or music at end of cycle.
- Only one main dial, other options selected through two buttons that don't look like buttons.
- Didn't need the new hose kit, returned it. Our has a diverter for steam to the dryer.
PROS:
- Decent price.
- 4.1 cu ft is pretty large, big enough to wash a queen sized comforter and more.
- Fairly quiet, and runs smooth.
- Thankfully you can adjust the water TEMP on most cycles. We use cold a lot for keeping darker colors from fading quicker. Would have returned it if we didn't have this option.
- Can add extra water to cycles by selecting 'Deep Fill'.
- Nice looking, no slam top glass.
- Good warranty on direct drive.
