These units are amazing, they get the clothes cleaned super fast and efficient especially if you're in a time crunch. Only issue we have had with them is they are kind loud at times it seems like if the loads get unbalanced at all but other than that we love this washer and dryer. Would definitely recomend to anyone looking for high end units at a very reasonable price.

    Great Value, Really Cleans

Love my new LG front loader which is my first front loader and now prefer to a top loader but it took a few loads to convince. This one takes the same amount of detergent as my front loader. Advantages of a top loader: 1. You can always add a piece once the cycle has started. No draining and restarting the entire process. 2. Easier to load into the top of the machine versus bending over. Advantages of a front loader: 1. Looks like clothes are cleaner 2. Clothes will last longer since there is no agitator to beat against the material. 3. A lot more efficient in the water and power departments. Obviously, the front loader wins in the long run. This particular machine is not only one of the lower priced machines but get high reviews on Consumer Reports. It was fairly easy to learn how to use also. Would definitely buy an LG product again.

Great washer but mildew is a problem

Great washer, but you have to remember to 1) always keep the door open to let air in. Otherwise, the washer reeks of mildew. 2) don't leave clothes in the washer for more than a few hours. Otherwise, the clothes smell like mildew. If you follow these rules, the washer works great.

I am extremely happy with the machine. The machine is quiet and can accept my comforters with ease. The delivery and setup was very poor. They came in the front door and dumped it in the living room instead of going through the side door to the laundry area. I wasn’t there, and the person who was waiting for them said she didn’t have a chance to tell them where to go before they came in the front door and dumped it right there and left,

This got excellent reviews for reliability, which greatly influenced my purchase; also, the price was reasonable. I don't need fancy steam/sanitizing cycles or anything. I want clean clothes and a machine that treats clothes gently, and uses WAY WAY less energy than top loaders with an agitator. This washer does the job! BIG tub. Spins them so close to dry that sometimes I'm not sure if I actually ran a cycle or not...and that saves $$$ in the dryer. It's quiet, doesn't get off balance. After my last experience with a front-loader, which I had for 15 years, I am more careful about wiping the rubber seal dry after each wash--takes just seconds and so far, no mold or odor. I recommend this machine for the reasons I mentioned: good price; reliable performance, very economical to run, big drum.

I've had the washer for about 6 weeks. It is quiet and the controls are easy to use. Clothes come out very dry after spin cycle. The 4.5 cu. ft. holds quite a bit of laundry. Very happy with it so far. The washer was purchased from Best Buy. About a week after the purchase I saw that the price dropped $50. I contacted Best Buy and they refunded me $50 under their price match policy. Great customer service>

Washer is quiet, easy to use and holds a good amount of laundry. Clothing comes out almost wrinkle-free and some items can be hung to dry leaving more room in the dryer for the larger items.

We are amazed by this washing machine. We can't believe how quiet it is - the first time we used it I looked over at my partner to ask if they remembered to run a load because I couldn't hear it, (and the laundry "room" is in our kitchen!). It looks great and is really easy to use. I also appreciate all of the useful settings and the flexibility with settings.

Excellent washer, great upgrade from our old top loader. Close seem to wash better and the spin cycle woks a lot better so the close in our dryer are drying faster after wash.

Pleased with this purchase. Washer has decent capacity and more functions/settings than I know what to do with. Gets clothes really clean, so I find the shorter cycle settings are more than adequate for my needs. Uses HALF the water of my old top-loading washer. Requires less detergent and is Energy-Star efficient. Unit is also very quiet. Didn't realize that I had to wipe down the door gasket after each use, but have learned to better manage my laundry schedule to minimize having to do that. Reliability remains to be seen. Overall, I consider this an excellent value for the price.

I haven't had it very long but I love this washer. It's quiet, efficient, and holds a huge amount without going off balance. Cleans superbly. This model doesn't have every high tech bell and whistle and that suits me just fine.

Wonderfully quiet and efficient washer. I formerly owned a whirlpool duet washer/dryer and had not had one issue with either the washer or the dryer until the washer "sported" 3 error codes, one of which even the repairman was not familiar with! As I watched the washer being rolled out of my laundry room, I was only hoping that the LG my husband chose for me for various reasons, would live up to the whirlpool's performance record. So far it has fulfilled my expectations, and after 8 years , I hope I will not be called upon to write another review!!!

This washer is good when gotten on sale however I dont think it is worth the regular price because the upgraded version of this washer is much better and normally only 100 dollars more and works better and has more features however this one is good when on sale for 600 dollars or less. It does make more noise than my old one this one makes a ticking sound when spinning almost like something inside is hitting the side of the machine however i cant find anything when i look inside or at the back of the washer. It is also slower than the upgraded version of this washer as a normal wash cycle out of the box takes 2 hours and 45 minutes also using the pre wash option doesnt use enough water to even make your clothes wet so it is useless.

We love this new washing machine. It replaces an older top loading washer that would shake, rattle, and roll on spin cycle no matter how carefully we loaded the clothes. Clothes come out cleaner and drier than with the old machine. It operates quietly and uses less water. As an added bonus, it plays a pleasant little tune when the wash is done!

Generally please with the washer so far, seems to get clothes very clean and spun well in preparation for drying. Only issues I have that limits from being 5 star are the length of the various automatic cycles. They seem unreasonably long. However if you're in a hurry or just want to use the Speed Wash setting, it lasts just 15 minutes or so. 15 + year old LG Tromm washer we had previously would run a 30 minute Speed Wash cycle. Maybe the new one cleans just as well as old, but I have to question how effective the wash and rinse cycles are going that quickly. The long delay it does when starting an automatic cycle as it measures size of the load is a bit irritating, but not a big issue. As long as it lasts 15+ years like the old one I won't care about these items in the end.
