Great washer, beautiful color! Only problem is that every now and again it gets off balance if you put blankets or comforters in there and takes FOREVER to wash. The time just stalls and you will notice over an hour later it is sill washing and has 30 minutes left! Otherwise, I love this machine, by far the best one I have ever owned!

Washes Huge Loads

I did a lot of research before buying a new washer and dryer. I compared all the brands, features, prices, warranties, etc.
I used to have a front loader Kenmore HE washer and dryer. I am VERY happy with my new washer and the matching dryer.
I have a very puffy king sized comforter, and never felt that my front loader did a good job of washing it even though it had the largest tub available. It freshened it up, but I never felt it got truly clean. I also had to take it out of the dryer and rearrange it several times to get it most of the way dry, then I'd spread it out under the ceiling fan to finish drying. First time I washed it in this new LG, I noticed it definitely smelled and felt cleaner. It also spun to the point of being almost dry so it was completely dry coming out of the dryer in only one cycle.
I can do laundry in half the time. I can put huge loads in, and they still come out really clean. If I normally do 8 loads of laundry, I can get it all done in 4 with this machine. I do about 8-10 pairs of adult sized jeans in one load, and they dry the first time thru the dryer. I can also do all the bath towels in one load, and we have three bathrooms.
I love the soap, softener, and bleach dispensers. Very easy to use and clean. My Kenmore had too many tight spots where it was difficult to scrub out any build up.
This is very quiet. I used to have to shut my laundry room door because the Kenmore sounded like a plane getting ready to take off during the spin cycle. I forgot to shut the door and didn't think twice about the laundry until I heard the end of cycle chime. Then I realized I hadn't heard it running. This is great because I often throw a load of laundry in before I go to bed. I also used to avoid putting decorations on one of my walls because the Kenmore shook the house so bad. Now I can hang decorations without worrying about them falling down.
The only down side to this machine having such a big, deep tub would be if you are short. I am 5'-9" and have long arms. I think if I was shorter, I would have a difficult time reaching to the bottom of the tub to retrieve socks and other little items. The other thing is that the washer and the dryer both play a little tune when they are done. It sort of reminds me of one of those musical night lights that you use to put babies to sleep. I simple 'beep' or 'buzz' would be good. Everyone hears the music and looks around confused. It is sort of funny. Actually the little tune is growing on us.

Just bought my washer about a month ago so far everything is working good. Purchased this LG unit because of great reviews and Best Buy sales person said top washer right now. I also wanted something that could handle my king size comforter and bulky items these washer does that with now problem. I won't miss the trips to the laundromat plugging quarters in to was rugs and bedding.

Filling to top with water, temp is off and tangles

I got this washer in late Nov. First one was filling 4" from top on most every load no matter what was in it- in the cotton normal, towels or bulky bedding. Maybe one load out of 10 only filled water just above the clothes. I can replicate this each time also by pausing the cotton cycle after it fills once. Then start again and it fills all the way up. So long story short- I have had three machines sent to me. Each with same issue. Repair man came out today to replace board and pressure sensor and that didn't fix it. So he is scratching head wondering whats up and calling his LG rep. One machine I can live with but now 3?? It now is filling up to inside the top white ring so well above the tub line and about 1-2" from flooding. I am very frustrated since everyone says this is a good machine. I can show in photos or video to prove this. If it is a bad batch the repairman says getting the new board and sensor from LG should have fixed this. Now I get clothes that float and just spin with no agitation and not washing. Been over a month with no resolution.

I replaced a Kenmore Washer and Dryer with this LG Washer and matching Dryer, and I'm hoping to get as much service from them as I did the Kenmore. After doing some internet and in store inquiries I decided to go with this brand and model, for my budget. The washer is simple to use, just press the power button, dial in the setting you want and press start, and be sure to add detergent and all before you start the cycle, the door locks after you start it. I'm still in the air with the unbalanced loads , that can be aggravating. But once the clothes are done they are Nice and Clean though it might take an hour and a half for a normal load.

My husband and I bought this washer after our 4 year old Cabrio blew the main seal and sprayed water into the motor and transmission, effectively ruining the washer.
We did our research, even joining Consumer Reports, to make sure we got a great washer that would last. The upgrades to washing machines in just a few, short years is absolutely amazing! This gem does everything you could want a washer to do...besides drying and folding the laundry for you!
The capacity of this washer is fantastic. We can even wash a king-size comforter with ease. You can be assured that large loads and small loads are all treated with care by this washer. We bought the model that included a "Delicate" cycle because I frequently wash vintage fabrics. It treats them beautifully.
Listed by Consumer Reports as a Best Buy (their rating, not the name of the store!), and for good reason!

This is our first high efficient washer. We were told it takes time to get used to and that they don't clean as well as traditional washers. We transitioned quickly and found the clothes to be as clean as they always were. The longer cycles slow our laundry day down a bit but overall we are very pleased with this machine. We were also told to expect a lot of vibration due to the high speed spinning but it actually makes less noise and vibrations than our old washer. We would highly recommend this washer.

Have only had the washer (and matching dryer for a couple of weeks) but everything seems great so far. It runs very quietly, especially considering how fast the drum spins during the cycle. Have never had a HE set without an agitator before, so it was interesting getting used to the new loading process but everything seems to be cleaning quite well. Considering how dry the clothes come out at the end of the load, the long time to run a load doesn't seem so bad. There's also a nice little tune that gets played at the end of the load instead of an annoying buzzer.

We bought the washer because our old one was leaking and got this one for a very good price--open box. I was not sure about the no agitator but so far it cleans everything well. I like that it tells you where it is in the cycle the whole time and also gives you the time left. It will sanitize things with extra hot water but that cycle takes over 2 hours. One thing for us that is a bit of a problem is the bigger than normal top lid. We have a shelf right above and had to devise a way to get the lid to stay up. We did and it works fine. Overall, we like the washer and all of its features. It took some getting used to because we bought out last one in 2000. We use it almost every day because we wash a lot of dog towels and blankets.

We have had the machine for about a month. We had one glitch, the unit had gone out of balance and then wouldn't quit spinning. I called LG and was taken through steps to fix the problem. It hasn't happened again. It was suggested that I avoid using the "normal" cycle. Otherwise, it's all good. Clothes are clean, the unit is quiet. Uses very little soap. In fact, using too much soap results in a rinsing problem.

We bought this set after owning our last set for almost 15 years. Needless to say, a lot has changed since then! We originally set out to get a front load washer, but after reading all of the reviews on those (not so great) we decided on this washer. I have to say that I am very pleased so far! My clothes seem cleaner than ever. I actually enjoy doing laundry now, believe it or not! I love the little tune it plays when the clothes are finished. The best thing of all, in my opinion, is that I can wash all of my towels at once, my old washer took at least 3 loads! I would definitely recommend this washer!

I absolutely love my machine! It was hard to part with the money since I had been saving for a vacation, but I love knowing that it takes excellent care of my clothes, & that it will last a very long time:) No buyers remorse, hehe! I am a very cautious buyer, but appreciate great quality. I believe this machine is the best bang for your buck! If you are going to buy one, might as well spend a few hundred more & get a machine that has everything you need plus performance since you will have it the next 10-20yrs! The size is great, i can wash my queen comforter! Plus all of the cycle options, & features...gosh, I still smile when I walk away from it, & its been 2months :D

Everything in all the other reviews is true. This is a great washer. However living in Colorado our outdoor clothing is generally water-proof or water-resistant. Due to the way this thing balances the load and how it does the spin cycle, they have a warning on it to not wash this type of clothing. Also, to not wash tennis shoes or sneakers if you prefer. I guess I'll have to take those things to the laundry mat when I need to wash them, which is completely ridiculous to spend this much money and not be able to wash this stuff in this machine.
Also, you have to be careful how you put your wash in it. You have to evenly distribute the load, otherwise it will likely stop in the spin cycle. This machine does not use the traditional agitator. If I would have realized these things, I don't think I would have bought it. Too late now.

We love our new LG washer. Not only does it look good but it has the latest technology for washing clothes and it saves on water and electricity. Anything new can be intimidating to learn but this model is actually fairly easy to master. It has more options than we ever had with older models and we love the fact that it doesn't have the agitator in the middle. This one holds almost twice the amount of clothes utilizing the empty space from the agitator being removed. Finally, our clothes are coming out cleaner with a lot less wear and tear. It costs a bit more but you get what you pay for with this machine!

This unit seems to be comparable to other energy saving units that do not have a central spindle. This model has been working well for me for the past month and a half since I got it. It has plenty of pre-programmed cycles to choose from, which makes the job easier. It made a lot of noise when I ran it the first time without any load to clean it out (as recommended by the installers), but it has been quieter ever since. The clothes get a bit wrinkled, but I think that is the price to pay for a thorough wash. The biggest complaint is the little drawer to hold the soap. The scoop that came with my box of tide is bigger than this area, which makes loading the soap a little bit clumsy. This is a very minor issue, and overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Replaced a Whirlpool Duet washer which was trouble from almost the beginning. Even though the cycles are longer, this LG holds so much more that it's fewer loads for same amount of laundry , everything comes out almost dry even on med-high spin. It does use somewhat more water than the front loader, for which I'm happy because I feel all is cleaner. I am so thrilled with this new washer, & am so glad to no longer have items regularly destroyed by the old Whirlpool.

bought this to replace my older broken lg front load washing machine, could have fixed the old one but wanted an excuse to get a new one, front load washing machines are over rated, top loads are where it's at,holds more laundry, gets them cleaner and you don't have to deal with the sour smell from the old front loaders, this is an outstanding washing machine,it is quiet, sounds pleasant when its load is complete, and looks awesome!!easy to get laundry in and out of,and my wife also agrees its here favorite that we have a ever owned!!
