This LG Washer was the worst Washing Machine I ever owned or used. In the 2 years of owning this Machine it was repaired 6 times. And all the repairs were major. The Electronic Panel replaced Clutch and constant repairs because of error codes. Also this Machine didn't wash our Clothing very good and often times I had to rewash our Laundry. When I phoned LG I was treated horribly and not as a valued Customer. Would never recommend any Products made by LG

Buyer Beware!!!! Worst washer ever! Clothes come out wrinkled. Thi swasher is 4 yrs old and it just stop spinning and making a real loud noise. I called a repair man out to look at it and he said the motor, shifter assembly, and tub needs to be replaced. the total cost $600.00! So now I have to purchase a brand new washer!

We purchased this machine to replace a Kenmore HE3T front load large capacity washer. I have owned this washer for a month now and have washed everything not attached to the house! I would approximate I've washed at least 60 loads! IT IS SUPER QUIET - I MEAN S-U-P-E-R QUIET!!! This new washer has an amazing capacity, far larger than our old one! The cycles are accurate for time so I can set a kitchen timer (my laundry room is on a different level than the main floor) and know exactly when the clothes will be finished. This is HUGE in my book because my old front load machine was on the last "1 minute" for 12-20 minutes and I often made several trips up and down the stairs to check and see if it was finished. The end cycle is a "tune" instead of a buzzer and isn't very loud but with our set-up I wouldn't hear any sound. It has a clear lid so we can see inside the washer while it is running. The spin cycle is super fast and yes the clothes are balled up when the machine stops so it is important to shake each piece prior to putting them in the dryer. I don't find this as extra work because I always shook my clothing out anyway and since it washes more clothing each time so I am doing less loads per week! Our clothing comes out clean and takes less time to dry than before. My husband works construction, my son works on automobiles... we have dirty clothes going in. I did notice shreds of paper, leaves, small toys, noodles, pennies etc do not escape the washer through the drain. The holes are so small so if something was left in a pocket or wrapped up in a tablecloth, it will remain in the washer until thrown away (another reason to shake the clothing). When I washed my thick king size heavy comforter I used the extra high spin setting and it crinkled it up, however I couldn't shake out all the wrinkles and I dried it anyway. My comforter has creases throughout. Next time I will just use the high spin and different drying setting and hopefully remove those creases! We have a pool and always dreaded washing towels especially the large beach towels... this machine has no problem fitting ALL my towels in a single load! Combined with the matching dryer, there is no extra work on my part! SWEET! Many people complained about the washer getting out of balance, this has only happened one time because I literally "dumped" the clothes in the drum; it was easily corrected by lifting the clothing to redistribute them without actually removing any clothes in the washer!!! If you throw clothing in a few pieces at a time spreading them out as you go, you will not encounter any out of balance loads. Beware, if you are shorter than 5ft 3in you may have a problem REACHING the clothing in the very bottom as the drum is deep. This machine senses the clothing by weight prior to adding any water, so if you use oxyclean or other power in the wash, it will sit directly on the clothing until the washer is full. Sometimes the machine didn't always dissolve all the powder and my dark clothing had detergent spots so I QUIT using any power and switched to only liquid and haven't had that happen anymore. When we received the washer, it was missing the owners manual... I have called LG 3 times to get an owners manual! They say they will send one and what I receive is a photocopy that is reduced down to 4 pages on one piece of paper and it is too small to read! I am VERY upset that LG keeps mailing me something SO UNACCEPTABLE!!! With everything said, I would purchase this machine again.

Pros: Set up is pretty simple. The hardest part was leveling out the machine. It can be time consuming but worth it to not have the vibrations. I love the delayed start because we can start a load of laundry before bed and make sure the cycle is done by the time we get up, and the wet clothes don't have to sit all night. The clear lid is interesting because you can actually see what the machine is doing. The machine has a timer that tells you how much time there is left on the cycle, this is nice because I know exactly when I can start my next load. It fits our queen sized comforters easily and we know it'll get clean. Cons: The cost was a bit higher than what I wanted to spend but since we weren't in a rush to get it, we were able to watch the prices and see when they were at the lowest point before purchasing. It comes with plastic water hose but it's recommended to buy a metal one because they last longer. There's some water left in the detergent tray after each wash. We've been pulling out this tray and leaving the lid open for a while after each use so it can fully dry before we close the lid. Other: So far, all my loads have been daily worn clothes and nothing too dirty so I can't speak to how good it is on extra messy clothes. I also sort all my clothes so I can't say how well it works on clothes that aren't sorted.

We wanted to go with a top load washer but weren't sure which one. When I saw the ratings on this one, it moved to the top of our list. And because it was priced a little less than most of the competitors it was a fairly easy choice. And thankfully, this 'easy choice' turned out to be the right one. We've had this washer for 6 weeks now. And I have washed huge loads of the kids clothes. So while this washer takes a little longer to do each load than our old one, I'm actually saving time because loads are twice to three times as big as our old washer could handle. Clothes come out clean, the washer is quiet and it also 'classed up' the laundry room a bit. And because it's a top -- not front -- loader, there are none of the mold or smell issues so many have experienced. I did have to spend about 15 minutes reading the manual because this washer offers so many options. But after that it was a breeze to use. Don't tell my wife, but I actually like doing the laundry now. I know that's crazy but this washer (and the matching dryer) actually make it more fun. Now if this thing could just sort the laundry and put it away....
