I was dissapointed that I could not find a Sony in a 42" size, so buying this TV felt a little like settling. As it turns out, this TV is on par with the Sony and there are things about the LG I like better. The setup of the LG is much easier. The owners manual is an "app" on the television. I thought this was very clever. When you locate the topic you are interested, you click a button and it will take you to the appropriate menu setting!! We use Netflix and Amazon streaming - both work very very well!!! I'm very pleased with this TV.

I got this for Christmas. The TV practically set itself up. Easy to follow directions in the manual and once activated the TV automatically went thru a series of checks. Once done it was up and running with extremely good reception and this is only on an antenna in the attic. It even shows a "bar" indicating the signal strength. Very pleased with the set up and easy connections to other devices. Still need to get the internet connections set up to interact with my computers but do not expect problems. I connected a sound bar for better quality as the small speakers in the TV are okay but not adequate for really good sound to enjoy a movie of interactive game.

Purchased this TV after movers destroyed the last one. This TV is very thin and very light. I was able to get it setup from box to watching in about 40 minutes. The setup time included getting hooked up with my router. Easiest router setup and connect ever! The other thing I love about this is the DNLA. I have been able to wirelessly connect with my cellphone to watch movies that I recorded. Bright colors and sharp 1080p resolution are the focus of this TV and I have had no issues in the first two months that I have owned it.

The smart tv is easy to set up,picture quality is so real and being able to accuss the internet is good plus the features in the setting. I would like a better remote other than that the tv is great.

I got this to replace a smaller 32" TV in my bedroom. It's got good picture and sound, but not great. I would not use it as a main household TV. The sound control is not as fine as my old TV and it's hard to adjust it to the right level for bedroom use. My primary reason for buying the new TV was to get a larger picture so I can read words on the screen from across the room and it is meeting that need. I had a problem setting it up and the manufacturer's customer service was horrible. I will think twice before buying another product by this manufacturer.

Easy to set up. The instructions are pretty easy to understand. The picture is nice and clear. Overall a good buy.

I bought this tv to downsize in my living room. For the price BestBuy had on their website it was a no brainer to get the 120hz smart tv over the Samsung non-smart tv. I was pleased with the tv but after a week I noticed a whole row of vertical pixels went out. I returned the tv and best buy replaced it no questions asked. So far I have had no issues with the replacement.

Bought this t.v because are old one broke. T.V works great. Very happy with it. Sound,picture are great. Easy to set up and work everything. I would recommend this t.V to everyone

Size fits well in our space. Excellent picture and "smart" features work well. We're well pleased with the product.

I like the TV. It has a great picture but loses WiFi connection some times. It is very difficult to enter passwords or use the internet withe remote. A touchpad would be a great improvement. I am going to try to use a USB mouse.

got this tv for my new apartment and its perfect. Its light weight and easy to install. The picture is great!

I got a 42" smart tv. Love it. The picture quality, sound and size is perfect for my living room. Set up was very simple. And instructions were good

Great features, incredible picture and easy to navigate. The actors seem to walk in front of the screen and it's not 3D. For the price, I'm stoked!

Overall this TV meets my needs. It was on sale when I purchased it, and the picture is so much sharper than my old TV. The sound quality is very good as well, although I wish the speakers were larger since I am hearing disabled. However, it is better than my previous TV, so i have no trouble hearing it. I could not connnect my DVD player until I exchanged my cable box for one equipped with HDMI, which, by the way, came with the necessary cable.

Excellent value, easy of set-up, very attractive design - very thin bezel around the screen. Default setting on the picture brightness requires user adjustment. The default was set to the lowest brightness which left the picture very dark. Once adjusted, the picture is excellent on the mid-range setting. Sound is a bit tinny. Good choice as a replacement for our #2 TV, an older JVC 37" which had given many years of good service. I had previously purchased an LG Blu-ray player from Best Buy and they are a great combo. Best Buy is the best.

This TV is a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it to others. The picture quality is so real that you have to get used to it for a few days because it looks like you're watching a screen of something that is happening right in front of you. The internet is a great thing to have as well so you don't have to go back to your computer for certain things.

This TV is a great purchase. The only downside is the sound which is what you would expect from a flat screen so definately get external speakers. You'll be glad you did. The rest is great. The picture quality is improved over older screens. The ability to stream content from the web is great as I don't need another device. I was able to hook up a wireless mouse and keyboard so I don't have to use the remote all of the time. I have access to the familiar Netflix, HuluPlus, Amazon Prime and YouTube and lots more as well as Skyp, Crackle and a whole host of LP options, as well. On top of that I can surf the internet. It's not exactly like a computer but it's close enough that you don't get lost and any confusion is momentary.

Great tv for a great price! Has a fantastic picture and is fast and easy to use the internet on it.

Was easy to setup from the start. Great picture. Navigation from TV to internet is seamless.Sound quality is good --no need for soundbar.
