Overall we are happy with this TV and it works well for a secondary TV. It does have some clouding in areas when the picture on the screen is a darker scene or when it is a completely black screen. I wouldn't recommend it for watching high definition movies as you primary home theater, but it works nice as a spare room TV for the price.

We have enjoyed product. A year later same as day one.

Had no problem with my purchase. Was bought for a family member's 80th birthday.

I bought this tv in 2015 (almost 5 years ago). Other tvs, like Samsung, last 10 years/ This LG tv is showing 6 white spots on the screen that make it impossible to watch, I am so disappointed. I wish I could return it because it is deffective.

This LG TV is very average as they come. It has RCA ports (Red, White and Yellow) on the back. There is also two HDMI ports, and a coaxial jack. The Color is pretty standard as far as a 42 TV from 2016 is concerned. It has standard contrast and the sound is neither awful nor exciting.

The TV arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. The picture was very fuzzy and I could not make it better by adjusting controls. Also, when I attempted to change channels, it changed by security cameras. I returned to store and exchanged it for an Insigna TV.

I loved the size and price. And that is it. This tv reflects lights. You have to turn off lights at night and during the day I have to shut shades or I cannot see it.

Purchased 1/11/16. Hard to turn on. Then 3/18 large white dots appeared on screen. It seems LG has an issue with LEDs coming loose from their board. No more LG products for this household.

This TV is good basic TV. However, it has VERY limited number of connections, so we have to plug in devices when we want to use them. Also, the speakers are in the rear which limits sound quality.

I thought this was going to be a good buy because of the cost vs benfit but it's very blurry and moves in and out of 4K colors

Having problems with this product,I have to use two remotes in order to use the TV.

TV is sometimes slow to turn on....................

We purchased the 42" LG TV for our back living area which did not require a large screen. Having bought a 65" earlier this year, we decided to only consider the LG line. This TV has a great picture and is lightweight. Some of the reviews mentioned a fuzzy picture and it is possible they have not completed the installation. We also had a fuzzy picture until we installed a HDMI cable. That totally improved the picture and now it is perfect.

I have a small living room and I wasn't looking for anything fancy. This TV exceeded my expectations. I love it. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. I'll just echo what other reviewers said and say that this is a fabulous TV -especially for the price. I got it on sale during Father's Day. I have Xfinity, a DVD player and a Roku hooked up to it. I haven't had one single issue. The picture and sound quality are fantastic. If you're on the fence about it, just get the TV. You'll be glad that you did.
