This TV's sound is excellent and the volume goes up loud enough for the average person. It is much better than I had expected. This is definitely my favorite aspect of this TV. The picture quality is respectable. My only complain is that the TV's stands have a very wide footprint. I have to replace my TV stand. Anyway, I would recommend this TV to anyone.

I am very disappointed with the picture. The picture is not as sharp or crisp as I thought it would be.

TV is just perfect. Unfortunately, I went through a couple other more expensive TV's before finding this one. One had a very big background sound over riding the dialog. One didn't work at all straight out of the box. Thank goodness for Best Buy's 15 day return policy. This one has a great picture and the sound is good without a sound bar. Set up was a snap. I don't think you can go wrong with LG.

My first LG tv and not my last!! The size and price for this flat screen was amazing. Other flat screen this size were more exspensive! Quality and price is unmatched! Towards the end of the new year I will buy OLED to replace this flatscreen in the front room and move this one to the bedroom!! Thanks LG your the best!!

42" which is 2" bigger than Samsung one in similar price. quality is good, set up was easy. LG electronics are better than Samsung ones lately.

I got this one just today to replace my Toshiba 40" which I gave to my mom to watch series. I'm very demanding concerning picture quality because I use my TV mostly for PS4 gaming and I need fast-responsing image which this TV does perfect. The only thing that didn't impress me is sound quality, I expected more from 2x10w speakers. My previous Toshiba had 2x5W and sound quality is pretty much the same.

Picture is good, there are some shaper quality pictures for this size TV but this one is a good choice for the overall price. Very slim lined in the over size TV which make it easy to hang or place where ever you wish to place it.

I am a woman & I carried the tv + packaging out to the car with one-hand & up my entry stairs with ease. Easy to attach feet, 4 screws & done. Great picture & sound, LG is known for that. Only thing is, every-time I turn on my wiiU the tv prompts me to change channels, which would be nice for older folks who need the extra help, but if I want to use the GamePad while somebody else watches a movie-- the prompt blocks the tv screen.

This TV has a phenomenal picture quality. The sound is beautiful. The size is great for bedroom. So easy to put together. The stand has legs on each corner so it sits securely. This TV has a superior everything compared to my basic Samsung. Don't let the price or the fact that its not a Samsung sway your options. I believe this is the best picture on a TV at this price point. Enjoy!

This TV is really slim and has great picture. I have a Vizio, Insignia, Toshiba, and Emerson TVs. This was to replace my bedroom 40" Emerson. Easy set up. The picture looks great and can be adjusted for movies or sports games. Not too grainy and not ridiculously blurred. Black colors appear very warm and rich. Easily set to my XFINITY remote. Still fairly new but so far I am very content!

This TV has great HD resolution. What really surprised me is the sound quality. It is very good for a modern HD TV. Most HD TVs made today don't have very good sound and need a surround sound system. This TV is for my bedroom and doesn't need a surround sound amplifier to sound good.

If you are looking for a tv in this size class that looks amazing on the outside and has a beautiful display, you will not regret getting this TV. I use mainly my ps4 with this tv. if you don't have a console, I suggest upgrading to a smart tv because it can be very useful

Just moved and needed to purchase some TV's for my house. LG offered the best features and clarity for the money. I purchased two in total and can't wait to get the fourth one for the family room.

We bought this to replace our old 2006 flat screen and we are thrilled with how much better the picture looks considering how much less we paid. This model is pretty basic but thats all we wanted/needed. Only drawback might be only 2 hdmi jacks.

This is a great 40" TV. I used at at a trade show and it got a lot of attention. The company images and video looked great on screen and it is now used in our office.

I owns this TV for more than a year now. It runs great, colors are awesome, sound is too good. Only drawback is you can't play videos from USB.

I really like this TV. A good size with inputs that I need for my PS3 and PC. The only thing is there isn't an RCA audio out to my older receiver. The sound from the TV is pretty good, so its not a big issue. Still I would recommend it to anyone who already has a new generation tuner or soundbar.

We have had ours for about 3 weeks. Set up was easy. It has great sound and picture quality.

We are using this TV for a monitor in our office. Great picture, great price.

It is a good TV at this price (prices fell a lot since I bought it), good for watching TV shows, movies.
