Ok to start off with, I'm a die hard Samsung guy. Completely going away from my safe zone on this buy! Honestly, best TV I have bought yet. 4K is beyond awesome on it! The quality is A+, which is what I was worries about the most! If you don't know what TV to buy, this is it!

My Samsung plasma purchased from Best Buy died on me (bad panel), but because I had purchased the protection plan I was given the option of picking a replacement of "like specifications". I could not find anything I cared for but, after looking through the reviews on the 43" LG 4K Smart TV, I decided to pay a modest amount in hopes of upgrading quality and reliability. I have not been disappointed.
Screen technology has come a very long way in the past couple of years and the LG is an excellent example of this. The colors are quite vivd, the images very crisp, and it is the perfect size for viewing while exercising in my dedicated room. I also appreciate the ease of navigating through the SmartTV options.
The positive experience with this TV led to a decision to purchase my first smartphone-from LG (the V10), but that should be the subject of another review. ;-) In summation I strongly recommend this 4K set. Please "bite the bullet" and add the protection plan. As a rule I am not a fan of extended warranties but for expensive electronics it really does provide peace of mind.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

This is almost a 5-star product. After seeing this TV in Best Buy, I read reviews online. It was tough to find a lot of reviews on this particular model, but I decided to go ahead and get it based primarily upon the sheer strength of the picture. Some folks have said it was somewhat complicated to set up - I disagree. If you go through the on-screen steps one-by-one, it's pretty self-explanatory.
There is a browser on this TV (which doesn't play flash), in case you're wondering. Using that browser is a little bit awkward with the remote, but it still is great to have it. The main issue was that the color had to be adjusted quite a bit before it was "right." Now, the image looks pretty great, but it was still surprising, considering how terrific the picture looked in the store.
So, in sum, the TV is pretty great, and it has a browser. Its built-in apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.) all look terrific and are easy to use. It's definitely worth the nice price, albeit with some finagling after you bring it home.

Pros: 4k, good upscaling, ips panel allows for wider viewing angle, good sound for an inexpensive tv
Cons: average at best contrast due to poorer quality blacks, not very bright, cheap looking shiny black bezel
Ok overall tv. At this price point, it's competitive with tvs from other manufacturers. Just don't expect this tv to impress your friends and family.

The picture quality on this TV is absolutely stunning! Being a smart TV, I was able to cut the cord and I no longer have cable or an apple TV, Roku, chrome cast, etc. My Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO GO, etc can all be accessed via wifi directly through the TV. I highly recommend this TV

Good Picture...Mediocre Housing

As far as the picture goes, it's great. There isn't much 4K content out there to really put this through its paces so on regulator content it looks fine. The picture modes leave a bit to be desired, ranging from dim to oversaturated. The biggest con to the TV is the housing. It's very cheap and mostly hollow. It's lightweight (great!) but that same weightlessness makes you feel like it could break in your hands. I guess you can't expect a decent build quality for new technology at a breakthrough price ($400).

Can't Beat It For The Price

I got this TV to replace my 61" LCD/DLP TV that was just too large for my bedroom.
The TV it replaced had an excellent picture so I wasn't expecting it to be as good.
But I was wrong. This TV has a nice, clear picture and better black levels than most LCD TV's I've seen.
The colors are very adjustable and it took only a few tweaks to get it just right.
The picture is razor sharp and the speakers were a lot better than most TVs.
I did by a sound bar to go with it, but it's not really needed.
I would have no problem recommending this TV to anyone who's in the market for a smaller TV; and doesn't want to invest a lot of money into it.

I love LG products! Great quality! Second LG tv I have purchased. Got a really good deal on this 4K tv. And I have to give props to the salesman. He was good. My only issue (and I'm partly to blame for not asking) but I never knew my tv was only 65 Hz. Never labeled on the box. Anywhere. Had to look online to see specs. Would have never bought it if I knew that. But!!!! Tv is still pretty amazing for picture. Plus it was still a great deal. Now I know why!! ;)

Only had the TV for around two months but it seems to be a good buy. Sharp picture, easy set-up, and nice control layout. Works really well but I usually reserve judgement until the third year. But so far I very happy with this 4K TV.

It's quite spacing saving and looks decent with the furniture around. Installation is very easy.. Good to have antenna connection so I don't need to go for cable or satellite. Pictures look good but haven't had chance to try 4K yet... Sound is so-so, but it's kind of expected. Remote is not quite friendly but OK. Basically it's still a good buy.

This tv is perfect in my bedroom. The picture is so clear it makes everything appear as if I have never seen the same movie before. It's so different from what I have been used to. I love it! The sound is awesome as well! I mounted it on the wall and its thin design allows me plenty of room for my furniture

We are very pleased with the ease of using this TV except for the confusion about getting a "smart" remote to use with it. We spoke to Best Buy and to LG and still are not sure we know what to do to get a compatible remote. But the picture on the TV, and the fun of having it Internet-savvy, has been great.

Nice Picture but Lacks Essential Features

I have come to love the LG TVs within the last two years. I have a 47 Smart with 3D and its awesome.
I purchased when on sale.
I could find no reviews when I bought this TV and its an entry level 4k with a great picture but inadequate features. E.g., no headphone output and the remote can't be used to control a cable box unless its connected via coaxial antenna, which you need two remotes or have to buy a good universal remote to access all features for both TV and cable satellite. I'm pretty sure all the tv services use HDMI connections, so this oversight in a 2015 model really is without excuse. There are only two HDMI and one USB.
The TV is easy to setup and use. The applications work fine and you can access Netflix and Amazon Ultra HD content and looks great.
I returned this model and bought the LG 43" UF 7600 model, which are sold out most places and apparently predated this model in about March 2015. I had no problem connecting to my satellite box and operating it with the Magic remote.

This is a great TV. Our first HD and Smart TV. The picture quality is excellent and we are looking forward to trying all the features. We also bought a BluRay player at the time we purchased the TV. What we have viewed so far has been a real treat, a mini movie experience.

I'm big fan of LG, always is one of the TVs I've at home. Pic is fantastic, very nice sound for the size, fits perfectly in my bedroom. Top notch smart capabilities, easy to use interface, and LG support & service are the best out there!
