Wow. Ok. So the hype is real. I went from a cheap Vizio 43" 1080p TV to this monster, and it has made all of the difference in the world. I use it as a desktop monitor for gaming. There are colors that I didn't even know I was missing, the HDR on this thing is incredible. 120hz and 4k make gaming the most vivid and mazing experience I've had so far. Once I can get my hands on a 3080, the build will be complete, but even with my current rig it's the best PC purchase I've ever made by far. Was a little afraid that it wouldn't be worth the high price, but oh it is. Trust me it is. Current Rig: Intel i7-6700k @4.5Ghz MSI GTX 1080 16GB RAM If you're looking for a new gaming monitor, LOOK NO FURTHER!

Fantastic TV with amazing picture and features. I mostly use it to play games and the Xbox Series X takes advantage of everything this offers: HDR/Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, variable refresh rate, 4K @ 120Hz. Truly the best deal out there for a gaming TV. They continue to update the TV with new features and improvements. Smart apps are good too. I use the Plex app to watch 4K HDR movies from my local Plex server and they look and play perfect. Only down side is the internal speakers, but using eARC to a compatible receiver or sound bar allows you to take advantage of all the sound enhancement features.
Amazing OLED with punchy black levels and very good colors. The refresh date of 120Hz is amazing treat for the eyes, everything seems to be so smooth. Great tv for PS5 or gaming.

I LOVE this monitor/TV! I was hesitate about the price, by it being only 48” and all. I just look the quality of the text and it works well as a daily monitor for work. It does slightly shift the image from time to time and you can’t see open app indicators when using it as a monitor. It’s a setting to prevent burn in which can be turned off. I love it as a monitor and switch it over to watch TV In 4K during lunch break or in the evenings with ease. LG’s OLED tech is the best in the biz, this is my third OLED in my house. Samsung’s QLED just don’t have the deep blacks like OLED.

Excellent computer monitor. Low input lag, 120hz native Freesync support, and gorgeous display along with HDMI 2.1 support makes it a no brainer.

I would like to start out by saying this is my first OLED TV. I have always bought Samsung TV's and decided to try LG on the recommendation of a friend and I have to say that the picture quality is the best I have ever seen! I have my Xbox series X and PS5 hooked up to this TV and I am amazed at the rich color and deep blacks that this TV displays. The magic remote is very convenient and pretty easy to use. If you are looking for a picture quality that will blow your mind..... this is the TV to get. I am very happy with this TV and is worth every penny!

Probably the best picture you can get overall, even if it's dim compared to the best FALD sets. For a bright room OLED is outclassed. As a gaming display this is the best there is. 120Hz, and variable sync that's compatible with every standard (Freesync, G-Sync, and HDMI 2.1 VRR). The new set is just as good, and has a cool gaming dash menu, but functionally it's all here, and LG is still doing updates. The 120Hz Dolby Vision update is eminent, and pretty much every other issue this set ever had is already resolved.

Straight out of the box this TV has impressive picture quality! Spend a little time adjusting Contrast (white level), Brightness (black level) and back-light video settings for your ambient room lighting conditions and it gets even better! Color saturation is pretty close to spot on out of the box. Does a great job with Apple TV 4k HDR, Sony Bluray, and 4K Xfinity cable box sources. Have not tested it with any HD gaming console. I would recommend this TV to anyone interested in a high quality picture with plasma like black levels. You get the picture you pay for!

Incredible TV. This is the third OLED I have bought. I use this one primarily for gaming with the PS5 because it offers 120hz and 4K HDR. I tried to use the 48” as a monitor for work that can switch over to a TV for gaming since I have a really deep desk. Even being on a wide desk sitting 4 feet away it isn’t a practical for monitor use. Keeping it for gaming as no other monitor compares to it for next gen.

I was looking for a large (43"+) display for my computer and it seemed all of the available options used lackluster panel technology and were not really satisfying for the $1000+ asking prices. LG swooped in with the CX line and blew everyone away. The CX 48 supports 4:4:4 chroma with HDMI 2.1, and the GSync and FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility is unprecedented in a display with these specs (irrespective of whether TV or dedicated computer monitor). HDR is also brilliant with OLED and miles beyond even what the very best IPS or VA computer monitorscan offer today. Latency and pixel response times are unbelievably low and in-line with dedicated 120Hz computer gaming displays. It's a Swiss Army knife for computer use. If you use some resizing and desktop management utilities you can cut out several multi-resolution windows for productivity, and carve out 32" 1440p or ~41" 1440p widescreen windows for very immersive gaming (or just kick back and enjoy fullscreen 4K a bit further away if wall-mounted or using a controller). A black desktop background, auto-hiding taskbars and screensaver timers are your friends for keeping the burn-in at bay. If you play games in windowed mode, you can also shift the windows a tiny bit with each play to prevent any persistent UI elements from burning into the panel. So far my only complaint has been that the ABL (auto brightness limiter) in this panel is very aggressive, causing the panel to dim to frankly unreasonable levels somewhat frustratingly frequently. There seem to be some tweaks in the service menu that might address this, but it's reported that these edits are unreliable (and they probably void any warranties). I'm hoping future firmware updates allow for more flexible ABL modifications, but in every other regard this panel has been a dream. No DisplayPort is also a bummer but to be expected given this was designed as a TV first, but I think LG has a serious sleeper winner with the CX 48 for computer gaming.

This is hands down the best TV monitor I have ever purchased. I went from a 34” ultrawide monitor to this 48” beast and I am stunned by the quality. Super easy to setup though I would recommend two people for ease of mind. I currently run this in 4k at 60hz because it’s absolutely stunning. G-Sync works as it should. I sit close to 36 inches away from the screen and have no issue. If you are on the fence about this TV because what others are saying about this not being a true HDMI 2.1 capable TV, don’t listen to it. The C9 and CX both use 10 bit panels and will never utilize beyond 40Gbps bandwith in 4:4:4. So if you are looking for a monitor replacement for your gaming rig, I would highly recommend this 48”.

So after countless hours spent grueling over various review and ratings sites, i finally pulled the trigger on getting this tv from amazon. The hype doesn’t do it any justice. LG delivers an incredible experience with this panel and i have no regrets at all after buying it. I got it primarily to use with my PS5 and PC. I snagged two rated HDMI cables (rated for 8k) a compatible fully articulating wall mount and under the set soundbar mount as well.

TV came sooner than expected, and works as advertised (at the time of this writing, with one minor episode in which I turned on the TV, heard sound, had no picture. Turned it off and back on and was back to normal.) The picture is great. I'm not a huge fan of the remote, with the floating dot thing, makes typing in words difficult for searches, but not worth knocking stars off.

I was in the market for a new TV, but the space I had available in my furniture would not allow a 55" or larger TV. I decided I wanted the best quality, but there were no OLEDs available that would fit -- until LG announced it would be selling a 48". I waited 2 months until the model became available. It's perfect for my room, and the TV is really incredible. I was never able to connect directly to the internet, Bluetooth devices, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, CD's and DVD's without extra equipment before. I watch a lot of nature shows, and I'm delighted with the picture quality. Sometimes the elephant in the room is actually an elephant!

Coming from the Samsung UHD, this LG OLED makes gains in color, black, smooth picture, and viewing angles (no fading from sides at all). The only noticeable loss is overall brightness from the Samsung UHD and switching to OLED format. The gains far outweigh the loss on that one point of brightness otherwise. A nice set and probably right up there with the best of them at this time, sound as well. Outclasses the Sony OLED hands down.

I've had this tv for a little over a month now, and honestly I've just been blown away with how good it looks. It pairs very well with my PS5 and is honestly a must have for next gen gaming. I have been told that the risk of burn in is very low, which was something I was worried about. I bought the 2year protection just to be on the safe side, but I don't think it's needed. Highly highly recommend this TV.

I've wanted an OLED tv for some time now and i finally made the purchase. Let me tell you this TV is amazing. The picture blows every other tv i've seen away, there's nothing like it on the market today. Besides the picture there are the APPs. The LG app store is well stocked with apps from all the major players so online content isn't a problem. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon its all in there as well as many others. i've had this TV for a couple months now and so far no issues at all. I still love this TV. unpacking and setup was a breeze, like all new tvs there is some assembly required but it wasn't hard. one thing that amazes me by the OLED tvs is the thickness, the screen is less then 1/8th of an inch thick and even after its been on for hours its cool to the touch, this makes me feel like its using very little energy and its not heating up my room. my biggest disappointment on having this tv is im watching tv too much now and i feel bad for letting an electronic device take over my life.

As a tv, this is an amazing item, although I would spring for the 55" is possible. But as a monitor, there are two glaring issues that ultimately made me return it. One, when enabling VRR(G-Sync or freesync), it will sometimes flicker black momentarily, and one one occasion it didn't stop, producing a "disco light" for as long as I had it in focus for the game. Secondly, if you use VRR and the framerate dips below 120FPS, the black pixels will suffer from a boosted gamma level and not be the inky black you expect from an OLED. the problem gets worse the lower the framerate dips, so at 60FPS it's very noticeable, and even with current graphics cards anything above 60fps 4K is not simple. I cannot recommend this as a computer monitor until LG fixes these two issues.

I got this as a secondary monitor for my gaming pc as well as something good to watch movies and stuff on. I am utterly blown away with this thing. The picture quality is astonishing and it has all the great features of a gaming monitor as well. 4K 120hz, Freesync and Gsync, and Instant game mode. The WEb OS is pretty robust as well and works really well and fast. This is a no compromise tv for 2020-2021.

There is nothing wrong with it. The picture quality is amazing. All of the features work well and are simple to use. The only surprise were the no-frills, dare I say primitive, instructions for connecting the base and getting the physical parts setup. Just a little challenging but not impossible. One person, working carefully, can handle it. After it's setup, it's a breeze to use from that point on.
