This TV is so fantastic, I never knew about having a smart TV. I watch U-tube videos, have Amazon Prime for TV shows (free) and movies, especially older movies. The size is great, it is supposed to be my TV in our living room area of our house, but my husband always wants to watch this one instead of the one in the family room. You should have heard the conversation during the super bowl game, he wanted to watch my TV, I wanted to watch a chick flick, I finally let him watch the superbowl but not before I put up a fight!

This LG was a great price, with a great picture and so easy to use to get to all the apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon). It was a great buy!

I replaced a Sony Bravia that stopped working. It was a good TV but this one is Hands Down Better. The Smart Function is fast, easy, and works nicely. I have it direct connected to the Modem Router via a Networking cable. There are lots of options you can adjust for Picture and EQ etc for Sound. The picture is fabulous, clear, very sharp, nice colors and the sound is really nice for built in speakers. Some complain about the remote but I find it to be nice, very functional and easy to use. I do have to use my reading glasses but no big deal, I have to use them on anything close. So easy to go from regular TV (cable, whatever) to Netflix and Amazon Prime as there are dedicated buttons for them. It is also easy to go to the main smart menu and return back to TV (cable etc.) by pressing the exit button. Whoever heard of being able to select the TV information by pressing and holding the Mute button for a second, or accessing the main TV adjustment options menu by holding the Mute button until you see as swirling pattern on the screen then in a couple seconds it brings up the TV Adjustment options menu. So far I have had this TV for a little over a week and love it. I feel I made the right choice.

This product is great and it has a lot of pre loaded apps like netflix, amazon, youtube, wwe and many others. The picture quality is good and the product is priced at a reasonable price. There are 2 slots for external devices like fire stick. However, you may not be able to connect 2 sticks at the same time as the slots are right below each other. So if you are planning to use both fire stick and roku device, you will not be able to connect them to tv together.

I was worried that the picture quality would suffer since it's almost 50" and only 1080p, but it stands up to the TVs that are twice the price. My only complaint and reason I'm giving 4 stars would be the lack of HBOgo and a few other apps. It has amazon, Hulu and Netflix so all the bases are pretty much covered. All and all a great buy and I would recommend to anyone

We bought this tv in July 2017. It is a nice tv for the price. For a 1080p, it has a great picture. The tv was easy to set up. We haven’t quite done all the internet features that is has available. The reason why I didn’t give it 5 Stars is because the sound has occasionally gone out and I have to change the channel for it to come back. I am assuming this is a tv issue and not a direct tv issue. We have a protection plan through Best Buy. I hope we wouldn’t have to use for a tv we have only had for 6 months.

I use this as a 2nd TV in a media room that I also take outside when it's nice out. The contrast is great and the picture is crisp. Inside the house, it's connected to an xbox one or a 360 where it delivers lag free, 1080p graphics. Outside, it's light enough to mount easily and is bright enough to see clearly on a sunny day (it does have a reflective screen though so viewing angle is important).

Great TV for the price. Was concerned about the processor speed as I do a lot of video streaming to the TV itself and I was very surprised by how fast it is. Hasn't buffered even once. Picture and sound is great. I highly recommend this TV for someone looking for a great TV at a good price.

I wanted a HD monitor that had a great picture and a great side view angle. I went to Best Buy and looked st the entire wall and found the LG. I own other brands but also own a LG 55" 4K. Super light and easy setup. I have moved this tv around from place to place as I use it in my DJ company to show videos. Not one issue ever. Love LG.

I needed a smart tv to screen share from my phone to the tv at our family cabin. Our family already owned a LG smart tv at our house, so I knew it would work with my phone. For slightly more than 300 dollars for a 50 inch smart tv, it meets all my needs. I can stream Netflix, Hulu, and Direct tv at our cabin...it works great!

I got this one during the Christmas sale, and it may lack some of the bells and whistles of other TV's, but it has the smart TV capability that is relatively easy to use. Picture quality is great and it is compatible with my Sony Surround sound and can control the receiver volume with the TV remote. Great buy for me.

We chose this smart TV for our small living room as space saving entertainment without sacrificing features we had grown accustom to. We were able to move the main receiver and retain all the benefits plus excellent features we didn’t have; like a bigger screen, better sound, and access to more online apps. We are very pleased with the results.

This TV has server its purpose, good image quality, quick to setup, very fast with the Apps, I find it easier to browse through the Netflix and Amazon TV apps for content than using my phone apps. everyone seems to be wanting to switch to a 4K rated TV but if you don't have 4K/HD programming from your cable provider there is no point. I recommend this TV

Great price, good picture, good color, easy useage

I wanted a smart TV and was very hesitant with what brand to go with. A best buy employee recommended me this item for its price and quality. Sure enough his recommendation was on point. I am happy with the specs it brings.

I wasn't looking for this when I went into the store but liked what I saw and decided to go for it. It was bigger than I anticipated but I like the larger screen. It was very easy to set up and now I have one less remote to deal with since I no longer need a Roku in my living room.

easy to use, lightweight, remote is pretty annoying though
