My wife chose this LG unit because while she can wash a large load, she is still able to retrieve all the clothing. A competitor brand is too tall for my wife as she is somewhat short. The washer is easy to opperate and my wife is happy with the washing and spin dry as the machine is smooth running and not noisy. My wife also likes the option of using a pouch or liquid detergent. And the LG does a great job cleaning

I have had this for about a month and it is the best washer I've ever owned. Gets the clothes really clean, it's quiet, quick, and easy to use. It's quite large but only a little difficult for me to reach the clothes in the bottom since I am only 5 ft. tall - a minor inconvenience. Overall, I am very pleased with this washer.

My wife is very happy with her LG washer. She likes that its large capacity allows her to wash big items. In addition, it allows her to add extra water to the wash cycle and there is an extra rinse cycle. The spin cycle does a good job of extracting water so the clothes are ready for the dryer. We haven't owned the washer long enough to see how well it holds up over time. We looked at the LG washer as it was highly rated by a consumer magazine.

We went from a front loader back to a top loader because we wanted to have room to do comforters and other large items but not have to pay thousands for the capacity. We lucked out in finding this item on sale! Even got some rebates from the utility companies. Easy to use, washes great (even large loads). So deep I almost need a stool to reach down in there (I'm 5'6") So happy with this item.

Love this washer! It’s big enough to wash our king size comforter in. It’s deep. The clothes come out nice and clean. You don’t even know it’s running. Works withWiFi too! We just bought our daughter a set of lg washer and dryer just like ours because she because liked ours.

This machine is quiet and does a wonderful job. I do fewer loads of laundry because it holds so much. It doesn't, however, seem to use much water. I worry a little since the water barely covers the clothing. It is quite deep and I do have to stretch to get the clothes at the bottom. If you are shorter than 5' 3", you might want to get a front loading machine.

I had a Maytag top load that lasted about 20 years. Unfortunately, it finally gave up the fight and I needed to get a new washer pronto! Anyways, the reviews on the Maytag top loader was not great and I was concerned that the door hit the knob when you opened it and I could see that over a number of years that could be a real problem. My experience with Samsung appliances has been horrible so I decided to go with this LG unit. Here are my impressions - The sucker can hold a huge amount of clothes Another benefit is it is extremely quiet! It has a cool door that you can watch your clothes swirling around inside. Now for the complaint - it doesn’t get clothes clean! My wife ends up having to hand clean anything with a food stain etc on it, because it does not clean nearly as well as that old Maytag did. My only other complaint is that the tub is a little deep for my wife to reach to the bottom. I think that the loss of the beater in the middle is maybe part of the issue, but the main function of a washer is to get your clothes clean and this one doesn’t do a great job. I would recommend you maybe look for a model with a beater as it may do a better job.

I had my doubts when I looked inside the tub of this washer and didn't see an agitator, but it works great. The clothes come out clean. The large capacity can handle family sized loads, it's easy to use, and it's way more efficient than my old washer. What more could I want. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this washer to my family and friends.

Easy to use. Very big tub I can get a lot of bath towels and washcloths in one load. Everything comes out smelling really clean. I do use the extra rinse a lot. I think that helps things smell better. I think this is the best washer I have ever had. I can get my washing done a lot faster now because the tub holds so much. I am 5' 7" and I can reach the bottom of tub with my fingertips. Short people might have trouble reaching the bottom of the tub.

Washer does an excellent job of getting the clothes clean and is quiet. We previously had a front loader that was loud, moved around all over the floor, and there was a musty mold smell all the time. The front seal had been replaced twice, repairman said that was probably the source of the smell and mold (If wasn't). Clothes come out smelling clean and fresh even before the dryer. One tip I will leave is that the water level is based on the "weight" of the load of clothes. When we first got it, it didn't seem to have enough water to do a proper wash so I added more water. Then I found a YouTube tip to pour a gallon of water around on the clothes in a new load. The added weight of an extra gallon of water makes the machine think the load is larder than it is and adds more water than normal and IMHO gives a better wash. Overall, I love it.

This non-agitator washer is amazingly efficient. It has multiple settings for types of laundry, and the loads are automatically weighed to determine the water temperature and level. Without an agitator larger loads can be washed at one time, and the spin cycle removes more water than any other washer I've ever used!

I am by no means an expert on washers and dryers, but this is a great model. Very quiet, used very little water, is a lot quicker I feel than my previous model and has a huge capacity. I have never owned a top loader HE before and was a little leery on performance, but this stacks up. I have no complaints.

We have had this washer for only one complete week and I've already done about a dozen loads of laundry. I've washed, whites, colors, two comforters and sheets / towels. So far, I've been really impressed by a few different things. First, this machine with its direct drive is literally whisper quiet. You don't even know there is a load in the wash. Since it's got a clear lid, I've also watched how it balances each load and unlike other high efficiency (he) washers, this one always puts just enough water in to cover the load regardless of the size of the load. The most impressive thing, and I'm not 100% sure this has to do with the washer, is not only how clean the clothes come out but also how soft they are. I have done nothing different than washing in our last machine. Same detergent, same settings but there IS a difference. Right now, I would HIGHLY recommend this machine. I will come back in a few months and update this review.

Just love my new machine. So quiet and so simple to use. It’s great to see the progress thru the glass top. There is also a light and timer that shows the progress so you can see what’s going on. Nice large wash tub that handles it all. So happy with our choice.

This washer is great. The tub is huge and I love that there is no agitator. The sensor chooses the water levels pefectly. It cleans very well. I really like the Wi-Fi connectivity which lets you remote start it and lets you know the progress of the wash cycle.

I should have bought this brand/style washing machine the first time around. I wanted a front loading washing machine and a dryer for a long time. Saving up for the machines I bought a pair of matching front loading Samsung washer and dryer. It was good for a short while until the washer had a catastrophic failure with the bearings giving out. I was lucky in that it was still under warranty, however it would cost more to fix it than it was worth. Samsung said it would send me check for what it was worth, not much. After reading reviews I chose the LG - 5.0 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer. Let me tell you it is HUGE. I had a lot of laundry to catch up on and filled the wash tube to the limit. Boy howdy it did the wash and it came out clean, now the down side, the amount of clothes it can wash is more than my dryer can handle efficiently so I may have to buy a new dryer, husband said no, just wash smaller loads, I know he’s right, but! The washer has plenty of cycles for different types of wash and at this point in time I am happier than before, I wish I went this route the first time.

This was my first washer without an agitator and I had to get used to this. It's great except with blankets sometimes as the load gets off balance so you have to pause and adjust but I had to do the same with my old washer that had an agitator. The only annoying thing was trying to figure out how to use the add water option which you absolutely have to do as the machine does not add enough water on it's own. Clothes would have dry spots on them still so I had to search the internet on how to use that option but once I got it things were good. I like the glass top so I can see what's going on. The cycle seems long but it hasn't changed my laundry habits so no biggie. I did have to exchange my washer as it was making this horrible squeaking noise the first time I used it but I called Best Buy right away and they were awesome with setting up and exchange just a couple days later and the 2nd one was great. I read about a similar problem online and gathered it was from the delivery movement of the washer vs just the washer itself. All in all I love my new washer and I'm glad I got the bigger tub for our family of 4.
