    I actually purchased the SK 10Y, the prior version of this product, but is essentially identical. I have had ongoing problems with huge volume spikes, so loud it could wake the dead, when the unit receives a non-Dolby surround signal from my cable box, primarily on commercials, but also with some non-surround streamed programs on Netflix. I tried every different connection and configuration, and at one point even replaced my cable box, but to no avail. After initial resistance, LG agreed to have it sent for warranty service, and after all this effort, nothing has changed. I went even further in my investigation, and for comparison I purchased an inexpensive Vizio 5.1 system from Walmart, and lo and behold, it works perfectly, no volume spikes. So the problem is clearly with the unit, but LG has been less than helpful in this entire affair, after investing almost $1000 in this product. I have a lot of LG products in my house, but this experience will make this the last LG purchase.

    Too expensive for the issues im having

    This sound bar sounds great when its working! But it doesnt work most of the time. First, there was an issue with a really high pitched sound coming from the bar that would bust your ear drums. Sent it in for service which took 2 months. It comes back, all is well for about about 3 months. Now I cant mute the bar and it shuts off randomly every 10 mins. Not to mention the subwoofer constantly disconnects and its not even that far from the bar. I call LG to address the issue and its now outside of warranty by 2 months and they wont do anything about it until i pay $150 plus shipping. So apparently, they are in the business of selling $900 sound bars that wont even last a year. Do yourself a favor and just get a Sonos system like I should have a year ago. This product is trash!

    Didn't work right out of box!!

    I was searching for a good quality soundbar. After following the directions, the unit connected to wifi. The hdmi didnt work and from that point on, unit just did nothing. It was a good paperweight but thats about it. Called LG and they couldnt help but suggested returning the heavy unit to store. Sad...sad....sad
