Amazing sound, great deep bass, and it can get really loud. I’m very happy with the quality of the speakers and they come with some nice quality of life features +easy set-up and installation. The rear speakers occasionally stutter for a moment but it’s rare. I do wish the volume control via the remote was a little more precise, sometimes 1 click up can go from too quiet to too loud, although mobile volume control is much better.

Great sound system. Crystal clear, crisp sound. Experiencing movies & shows with this quality sound system device set up, takes your experience to a whole new level. My girlfriend & I love this system so much. However, the cords that need to be used to connect the two mini speakers are annoying. Please beware if you have cats. No matter the precautions that i take, whether it be taping it down or hiding the wires, they still manage to pull them out. I wish that both of the mini speakers were able to connect via bluetooth, like the rest of the set up…

I’m very happy with my LG soundbar. The audio quality is excellent — strong bass and clear sound that really enhances movies and music. It’s easy to set up and connects quickly to the TV. Definitely a great purchase with excellent value for the price.

Definitely worth the cost. Great sound, easy to set up, and syncs seamlessly with our LG TV so we never have to deal with controlling the sound and TV separately.

My wife helped me to set up the rear speakers. Somehow the sound wasn't quite right. I looked up videos and help online. This seems so simple to set up with the phone app. I did eventually find out that it works better if you connect the rear speakers to each other with the supplied wire. Thanks Honey. The sound coming from these is awesome. Plenty of sound settings to use. Hooked this up for me under the TV. It was really easy.

When I first got this product I was thinking it wasn’t going to be loud or good sounding, holy crap was I wrong. It sound amazing with the surround sound, although bass doesn’t hit that hard I like how there’s an option to bump up the sub sound bars and the back speakers. One option I really like about this product is that you have so many choices for your liking. Listening to music or watching a movie. Honesty I’m glad I got this product on a discount. Good product, great service.

Great sound awesome immersive surround sound. The app usage is a little tough to setup and to use the app you need to connect via Bluetooth. That’s the only thing holding it back from 5 stars

WOW is a funny sounding word to use as a prefix for a sound configuration capability. Nonetheless, LG has purposed this term to describe coordination between a select recent group of LG televisions and certain models of soundbars that act in cahoots to utilize both the TV’s internal speakers as well as a soundbar and externally controlled speakers like the included subwoofer and rear channel speakers in this system. However, getting it to work in a seamless fashion, is not necessarily for the faint of heart. The S60TR sound bar system under review, is a 5.1 channel model that doesn’t have quite as many “bells and whistles” as the pricier S70TR LG model, but has a satisfying set to fulfill most people’s needs to add a lower-cost, high fidelity surround field for medium to small rooms. It will make just about any TV sound better than it would without it, but was designed with the “WOW Orchestra” LG television compatibility in mind. There is no Dolby Atmos processing or assigned “height” function drivers on this model, but there are a few playback codecs like Dolby Digital and DTS. There are also sound eq presets such as AI Sound Pro (an adaptive eq derived from program content), Standard, Cinema, Clear Voice Pro, Sports, Music, Game, and Bass Blast. This system is handsome in its design, sporting grills and a look that consistently delivers an understated elegance that calls no undue attention to itself. Good job on that aspect, LG. Also, I’m a big fan of the direct AC plug-ins all-around, sans wall-warts, but I’m not a big fan of such short (5’ length) cables that are supplied. Included in the box are the soundbar, subwoofer, two wireless rear channel speakers, a remote with two AA batteries, an optical cable, a rear speaker connect cable (that connects the two rear speakers to each other), two wall mount brackets for the sound bar with two screws, three (short) power cables, a super simple manual, a mounting guide template for placement of the sound bar wall brackets and a warranty card. There is an app available that can help optimize sound settings, and a degree of control capability from the LG tv’s remote, (if all connects well). A more comprehensive manual can be found online to supplement the extremely sparse, “Simple Manual”. The three speakers in the sound bar (left, center, right) and the satellite rear speakers are all of the full-range type that are expressing sound in all of the frequency range other than the lowest notes (which are, of course, supplied by the subwoofer). There are no additional tweeters or woofers and thus no passive crossovers. This configuration can be aurally adequate if the drivers are of good quality and the system employs digital signal processing to help shape the sound frequencies to the target “voicing(s)” as is applied here. As for the subwoofer, keep in mind that it is probably best suited to filling smaller-to-medium-sized rooms due to its size. It won’t ever be gut-punching bass that rattles your belongings off the shelves, but it works well and is adequate for this purpose. Also, it is effortless to set up with its wireless connectivity and as stated previously, it is simplistically handsome. Regarding the satellite/surround speakers, note that one is powered and will require access to a 100-240V power source as do the other components. There is a traditional speaker cable supplied that will join the remaining surround speaker to the powered one, thus sharing the internal wireless receiver and the two-channel power amplifier. Kudos for the extra-long cable length. Unfortunately, there are no wall brackets included for the surround speakers, but there are 4mm threaded bosses on both the back and bottom of both of the surround speakers to attach to optional, externally-sourced brackets, if required. Also, the app will allow switching the left/right orientation if the location of a power source is not convenient channel-orientation-wise. With all that out of the way, lets get to what makes this package appropriate for your needs or not. This particular sound bar has specific accommodations for use with certain models of LG’s televisions that allow use of the internal tv speakers in “concert” with the S60TR’s speakers. I actually had a tough time pairing it with a recent (2023), supposedly compatible 65” LG OLED set. I am beginning to think my set might not be as compatible as I had hoped, as despite the recognition of the sound bar as being one that is recognized by the TV, I am not getting the TV’s remote to adjust both the sound bar and the TV simultaneously without some side effects. I guess the nomenclature of WOWCAST, WOW Interface, WOW Symphony and WOW Orchestra(?) were not wowing me over. Since my initial frustration with connectivity through the HDMI ARC connection, I have learned that one of the paths to the intended successful WOW connectivity is through the Bluetooth connection with required adjustment of delay timing on the TV and the soundbar system. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to figure out how to have the soundbar connected continuously to the tv via Bluetooth as well as to the smartphone app simultaneously. This makes adjusting settings to the system kind of frustrating, not to mention the lag, even with the 5.3 Bluetooth spec. The overall sound quality is mostly good and with the use of presets on the remote or app as well as bass, mid and treble sliders accessible on the LG Soundbar app, you can find a setting that will make most program material sound good. The app allows complete control of all the functions on the sound bar with the most significant aspect being able to clearly see the status of sound settings, inputs and other operational functions without having to rely on flashing lights on the front. Keep your expectations within the abilities of this size system, and you will most likely be pleased. I recommend this product considering its relatively low price, simplicity, versatility, input options (ARC compatible HDMI, optical digital and Bluetooth) and for its mostly pleasing overall sound. I would probably not buy it for its WOW capabilities as it seems to be too much of a pain to get it to work seamlessly and without lag, and seems to be a hit-or-miss proposition. I have to also question why you would want to include the use of the TV speakers with your sound bar if the whole reason you are adding a sound bar is that you aren’t happy with the sound of the TV speakers! Also, level-wise, it seems to be a bit erratic, so time testing is in order to determine just how well it will function on a day-to-day basis. Families with newborns should probably not buy this model, as it may have a tendency to undo all that work it took to get the kiddo to sleep with a loud, unexpected blast. Good night.
