We had owned LG machines in the past, so they were they first we looked at when purchasing new. We didn't need a machine with 100's of wash options, just something that had the basics and worked well. We have been very pleased with the LG washer. It is quite efficient with water yet has done an exceptional job cleaning clothing. It is also a very quit machine, which helps as our laundry is right off our kitchen. This washer is a great value and would buy again.

This washer is easy to use and really accommodates a large load. The laundry comes out really clean. The deep water optional feature works well.

Beautiful, efficient machine. Cleans very well. Very quiet. Only concern is the detergent trays do not drain well at the end of the cycle-often still filled with water, hard to dry them out

This thing is amazing, it runs very quiet and has some great settings. I really like the AI setting it usually takes 20-30 minutes to complete ang the tub on this is huge

Easy to use and the drum is not to low that I can get clothes out easily. Also very quiet when it is on.

This is a great machine. It holds a lot of clothes, even king sized bedding. It looks good and is holding up well doing 3+ loads every week. I like that the end cycle sounds are changeable and customizable.

After months of use, we are extremely pleased with this washer. Since we haven't had many modern style washers, it has been a very welcome upgrade. Easy to use, fun sounds and you can't go wrong with a soft close lid!!

I initially looked at the 8600, but the price difference was just too significant —only a couple of more features and a few more wash cycles. I use the AI wash feature on this 8400, and it is incredible. It can do an entire load in less than 30 minutes. Quiet, and the app tells you when a load is done. Pair it with an 8400 dryer, and the dryer will learn from the washer which settings it needs to minimize drying time. Clothes are wrinkle-free. It is easy for my wife, who is 5 feet 2, to reach the bottom of the drum. The first month of use makes me wonder why I did not buy it earlier!

We purchased the LG8400C washer based on it's top load feature and capacity. The interior is huge - literally you could put a small person in it. It's functioning better than our prior front load LG as the clothes come out feeling clean and not feeling like they are still coated with detergent. The cycles are pretty obvious and it operates fairly easily with selection. BUT, it really lacks flexibility in cycle selection. For instance, if you want to run the "Normal" cycle and then add an extra rinse the unit automatically shifts into "Deep Fill" mode. I don't want Deep Fill I just want an extra rinse. Anyone whose had organic chemistry knows that more extractions are better than doing a higher volume of fewer extractions - duh!! Apparently the engineers who designed this unit never had that class. Anyway you CAN select variations in water temp, soil level, and spin speed. The lights on the display that show what cycle features you've selected are a bit dim and if your unit is placed near a window, it can be hard to read these. The black top of the unit shows every spec of dust, lint, and fingerprints so if you are OCD about it looking sleek, this is not the unit for you. If I had the flexibility to do this purchase over again, I would reconsider getting a unit that has better cycle flexibility. We had no way of knowing when we stood looking at this one on the show room floor that we would not be able to just add an extra rinse without it kicking into Deep Fill mode. So yes, I'm a little frustrated with the lack of flexibility. Still the clothes come out clean and it operates pretty quietly in my opinion despite spinning at very high speed so the clothes dry quickly afterwards.

Love this large capacity top load washing machine. It is better for my space than a front loader. I am able to allow the wash basin to air dry after a wash to prevent mold. Front loader just did not work in my space. My old washer was a front loader and because of the space it was in we could not keep the washer door open. Mold developed in the basin in the old washer. This is quite and washes clothes exceptionally well. Highly recommend!

I like it, it's quiet and it's working well, I haven't tried all the options but they look interesting.

Does a good job. Sleek design. Would prefer a little more flexibility in the settings but as stated, does a good job.

The washer has been working for a few weeks and everything has been working great. I’m not really good at operating washers but it’s been easy to work. Lg is a really good machine. Thanks.
