Have owned multiple brands of washers before. Purchased this washer because of ease of use, capacity and efficiency. Has not disappointed!!!

I absolutely love my new washer. There are so many options and choices that fit my washing needs. I really appreciate the way my clothes look after being washed.

This has been a great upgrade, it is quiet, it seems efficient and the timing estimates are accurate. Our use of the washer is fairly average, no extremely large items but we do use it frequently for day-to-day items and it has performed very well.

This item is easy to use and more convenient for your family. It take more load in it and dry your clothes very good. I will recommend anyone who is in search for dryer to buy it.

I bought the set. PROS *Easy installation *Fit well into my small laundry closet *Full size machines; can fit queen size comforter, probably a king *LOVE that they sync (you need to set), so the dryer auto sets to what the washer just ran *LOVE that you can set additional dryer time from app *Can check time left and other details from the app *Lots of personalized settings, they sing me a little song when done *Beautiful and work very well CONS *Best buy vent hose was junk; don’t buy it! *LG tech support via chat runs multiple chats (rep admitted 3 when he posted in wrong chat window) *When you DO contact tech support, all they do is search the manual, so it’s faster to download the electronic version and do a word search yourself. If it’s not in there, they don’t know. Example: You can control the machine remotely, BUT if you do you can only control it remotely from the app, so they don’t have the instruction to activate that in the manual. *No extra hot cycle; turned up my water heater instead *Some cycles have water temps you can’t change. OTHER NOTES *I use the hot cycle A LOT, and noticed there was condensation building up under the washer. It’s a small laundry closet w/no ventilation. Problem solved by putting machines on risers and running a portable fan when washing w/hot cycle.

We like it a lot . Super quiet, easy to use,, holds a lot more than our old one.

Modern styling, large capacity and simple usage all made for a great impression. Since using the wash is clean, machine is quiet and I am very satisfied.

This thing is amazing, it runs very quiet and has some great settings. I really like the AI setting it usually takes 20-30 minutes to complete ang the tub on this is huge

This washer is easy to use and really accommodates a large load. The laundry comes out really clean. The deep water optional feature works well.

We purchased the LG8400C washer based on it's top load feature and capacity. The interior is huge - literally you could put a small person in it. It's functioning better than our prior front load LG as the clothes come out feeling clean and not feeling like they are still coated with detergent. The cycles are pretty obvious and it operates fairly easily with selection. BUT, it really lacks flexibility in cycle selection. For instance, if you want to run the "Normal" cycle and then add an extra rinse the unit automatically shifts into "Deep Fill" mode. I don't want Deep Fill I just want an extra rinse. Anyone whose had organic chemistry knows that more extractions are better than doing a higher volume of fewer extractions - duh!! Apparently the engineers who designed this unit never had that class. Anyway you CAN select variations in water temp, soil level, and spin speed. The lights on the display that show what cycle features you've selected are a bit dim and if your unit is placed near a window, it can be hard to read these. The black top of the unit shows every spec of dust, lint, and fingerprints so if you are OCD about it looking sleek, this is not the unit for you. If I had the flexibility to do this purchase over again, I would reconsider getting a unit that has better cycle flexibility. We had no way of knowing when we stood looking at this one on the show room floor that we would not be able to just add an extra rinse without it kicking into Deep Fill mode. So yes, I'm a little frustrated with the lack of flexibility. Still the clothes come out clean and it operates pretty quietly in my opinion despite spinning at very high speed so the clothes dry quickly afterwards.

Love this large capacity top load washing machine. It is better for my space than a front loader. I am able to allow the wash basin to air dry after a wash to prevent mold. Front loader just did not work in my space. My old washer was a front loader and because of the space it was in we could not keep the washer door open. Mold developed in the basin in the old washer. This is quite and washes clothes exceptionally well. Highly recommend!

This is a great machine. It holds a lot of clothes, even king sized bedding. It looks good and is holding up well doing 3+ loads every week. I like that the end cycle sounds are changeable and customizable.

I am liking my new LG 5.5 Washer. Easy to use. No complain.

After months of use, we are extremely pleased with this washer. Since we haven't had many modern style washers, it has been a very welcome upgrade. Easy to use, fun sounds and you can't go wrong with a soft close lid!!

Easy to use and the drum is not to low that I can get clothes out easily. Also very quiet when it is on.

Real nice. Works great. So far it has not gotten off balanced. Works great in AI mode. Nice capacity.

Great washer, esthetically well designed. I baught this washer a year ago, and so far nothing but praise. I recommend this washer, and I would buy it again.
