The best washer that I’ve ever had! It takes my king size bed comforter

The washer does exactly what it’s supposed to do — it washes clothes really well. The auto dispense is super nice. Connects to my phone so it tells me when the washes done. The only problem is this high-pitched noise it makes when it starts spinning. It’s an electronic, super-annoying, ear-piercing sound — and I can hear it all the way upstairs, even though the machine is in the basement. And unfortunately you cannot hear it on a video. At first, I thought, there’s no way this is normal, so I scheduled a replacement. But when the new washer arrived… it did the exact same thing! Shoutout to the Geek Squad near me — absolute legends for hauling two washers down to the basement and one back up. I seriously appreciate them.

I'm enjoying using my new washer. It is large and is spacious, does comforters and bedspreads easily. No more going to the laundromat to do big loads and is easy on fabrics. I would recommend this product and also enjoy using the LG thinQ app on my iPhone, it lists all LG products in my home, and I can use it remotely.

Washer is high tech but top load door is very poor quality. The hinge broke within 3 months of having the unit. Both LG and Best Buy refused to fix even though I have both total protection plan and warranty from LG. Both companies pointing fingers w no accountability. I would NOT recommend this washer, LG or Best Buy appliances.

Purchased after thorough research, Consumer Reports, User Reviews. After only a few washes, black streaks appeared on clothing, bedding. Washer has ruined multiple articles of clothing and bedding. Followed manufacturer instructions to clean, nothing has fixed the issue. Will be going back to Samsung products, extremely disappointed in LG quality at this price point.

Runs smoothly, more options for Wash modes. Nice to connect thru LG app for updates and usage. Sleek black stylish look fits nicely in the home.

It was a good purchase, I recommend it. You won't have any excuses. At Best Buy, you'll find what you're looking for.

The only thing to improve is to have all items in brighter white as they are hard to see, especially the Power and Start.

The washer worked well for 11 months and does a decent job at what it is designed to do. After a load of light clothes, I noticed the top lid was loose and after looking around, saw that the door hinge had cracked. There has been no physical damage to the product, except for a very cheap appear plastic hinge that connect the lid to the frame. LG support claims this is a physical user issue and will not fix the now worthless washer. I regret buying this washer and after owning LG washer/dryer combos for roughly 20 will likely never buy another after this experience. Be weary and do your research first. After looking online, it seems that my experience is not an isolated incident.

Doesn't clean. Leaves a water line on the clothes. Deodorant marks still on clothes. Never had this problem with my previous washer that had an agitator. I've tried using more water button. I've tried washing half a load which defeats the saving water aspect but stop doesn't come out clean. Horrible.

I was sadly disappointed in this model. I have previously used an LG that lasted 12 + yrs. So I was excited to return to this brand. Unfortunately I did not review the reviews before purchasing. This model seems to have a problem with tearing up and stretching material. From jackets to bed sheets. I attempted to try different settings but it still had the same issues. I instead returned this and paid the difference for a LG front loader. The customer service and delivery men were so professional and it went smoothly.

I purchased this and the driver wouldn't even bring it into my house because it was so badly damaged. I told them I'd live with it for now and they wouldn't bring it into the house claiming it wouldn't spin correctly. I was scheduled a WEEK later for a replacement. Well, that day is today and I just received a text that they are canceling and if I am lucky they can bring another one in FOUR DAYS. This is a product other stores have in stock and ready to deliver. Unfortunately I can't just change to another store because of the way my order was written. Nect time I see something like this I won't have to wonder if it's smart to buy a plastic major appliance.

Purchased this washer, February 2025 and within the first two months it kept leaving black ink like marks on our clothes, bestbuy said to contact LG because of the warranty, LG came out a few times basically said it’s our problem that we let something get in the washer but also said they can’t see anything in the washer to make the marks

The manual combined with LG chat and some trial and error made for quick learning as to how to operate this extremely advanced machine. Drawn to its beautiful black glass exterior and see through glass top, I soon found myself holding a flashlight to watch this fastinating high tech marvel go to work. After loading my closed and choosing a cycle, the washer began by weighing the clothing and sensing the proper amount of water to add. The show begins as water is sprayed into the tub combined with your chosen amount of detergent and softner. Then as I watched mesmerized and entertained simultaniously, I found myself listening to what reminded me of waves in the ocean. Soft and gentle, quiet abd relaxing. A washing nachine thats relaxing? I couldnt believe it either but it is true. So while the clothing sways back and forth as the motion of the tub pushed the water around to cleanse them, I wondered initially how they would come out, never having owned an impeller machine before and questioning if less water really was all that was necessary. But i just trusted and continued to watch the show. As i held my flashinght looking into the machine i noticed that the dirty water drains out next and then comes the rinse cycle where water sprays from many directions. Finally after draining again,the spin cycle begins. This was the most exciting, kinda scary, truely hypnotic and mesmerizing part of the entire " washing machine show" for me. I never in my life saw anything move so fast. After speaking with the LG tech this week I learned that the spin cycle reaches 1200 revolutions per second. Holy Cow. Thats just incredible. No wonder it has a safety lock. Some great features include being able to pause the washer any time you like to add more clothes or to adjust the settings or to add more water or to balance the load by hand if necessary. Choosing the right setting can be tricky at first as you figure out which cycle does what. Most cycles allow you to adjust the default settings to change the water temp for example but some dont. Most cycles alliw you to add water with deep fill but not all. For example the Normal Wash Cycle will default to the Deep wash cycle when you click on deep fill so it changes the cycle itself. These specifics take time to learn and some trial and error. You can also use the wifi app which i noticed is especially helpful when other people in the house use the washing wachine and forget to unload it. I get all notifications not just my own loads but everytime anyone does a load it notifies the app which we all share on our cell phones I have been very surprised when it says load complete abd i wasnt even aware that anyone was running the washer. This confirmed to me how quiet this machine is esp when my last washer was so loud I could hear it throughout the house. There are many preprogramed cycle options that the machine comes with and by selecting " more setting" on the main dial you can even customize other cycles to add to the dial to choose from. The options are almost endless. You can also use a detergent sheet and turn off the detergent and softener option which would otherwise have the washer add them during the wash cycle if you so chose to. The clothes always come out very clean and smell good. I gave been very impressed be it delicate sheets and down pillows or panties and silk nighgowns everthing is free of lint and pilling, without rips or snags as I used to experience with my aggitator machine. Sometimes I lower the spin cycle when washing only 10 articles of clothing or less cuz its possible that too much motion can cause an unbalanced load to occur when there are very few things in the tub. If that happens its during the spin cycle and the best solution is either to reposition the clothes or to add a clean towel for balance or turn down the spin setting. Just being aware of these issues helps to prevent them from occuring in the first place. I love this washer. I was always skepticle about impeller machines but now i would never go back to an agitator machine that used to eat up my clothes, stretch, and rip holes and create lint and pilling. I am so glad I bought thos LG washer and a 5 year warranty. I also love Best Buy. Having never shpped there much I was drawn to buying from them when I found out they offered a 60 say return policy with nembership. Since i had no idea what to get this was really important to me. I discovered that the store is great to work with and the employees are helpful and honest. They even did a price match for me 30 days after delivery with a competitor who had the washer and dryer on sale for a few hundred less. That was great timing and so awesome that they honored this aspect of their policy. Im sold on using Best Buy in rhe future and in buying LG for my future appliances.

This LG washer cleans well, but it’s too rough on clothes. Even on gentle cycles, my clothes come out stretched or damaged. Really disappointed with that so I returned product.

First of all, this washing machine is an absolute BEAST (in the best way possible). It gets everything ridiculously clean and somehow holds what feels like an entire household’s worth of laundry in one go. For context: I have two large, long-haired dogs and a cat—so pet hair isn’t just a problem, it’s basically a lifestyle. Add in a 7-month-old baby boy who treats outfits like disposable art canvases, and this machine has truly seen things. Unspeakable things. And yet—every single time—everything comes out clean, fresh, and like it never went through chaos. Honestly, I’m convinced it’s performing small miracles behind that lid. I was a little nervous switching back to a top loader after using a front loader, but wow—I’ve been converted. No more awkward floor-kneeling yoga just to unload laundry. I can actually reach everything easily (even the rogue sock at the bottom). The features are fantastic too—the extra spin cycle and sanitizer setting make me feel like I’m running a tiny, highly efficient laundry hospital. Also, shoutout to the Best Buy install team—they were quick, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. The stainless steel hoses are solid, no leaks, no drama—exactly how I like my plumbing. Final verdict: If your laundry situation involves pets, babies, or general life chaos…this machine is ready for battle. And it wins. Every time.

I bought this washer to replace a 2017 Samsung model. I chose this LG primarily because I wanted the largest capacity top-loader I could find. I’ve had it for a couple of week now and so far I’m very happy with my choice! PROS: • Huge load capacity; easily fits my king size duvet. Yet the overall machine has exactly the same footprint as my old 4.5 cu. ft. washer so it does not take up more space. • I love the deep fill option and use it when I’m washing bedding, pet beds, and other bulky items. • Easy to operate — the washing cycle options can be selected with the knob, and “add-ons” to your cycle are selected with buttons on the right. • It has more temperature, soil-level, and spin options than any of the washing machines I owned before this one. • The cycles don’t take as long as they did with previous washers, but my clothes are just as clean; if not more so. • The app is a nice feature — I like getting notifications when my laundry is done. There is also an option to download more cycle options, but I haven’t used any of those yet. • Clothes always come out clean. • It’s quiet. • It’s a nice looking washing machine. • Fingerprints are easily wiped away from the surface with a dry microfiber cloth. • I like being able to choose my own song that plays when the load is finished (available through the app). CONS: • There’s no “soak” option, which is honestly my biggest gripe. I wish LG would add this as a downloadable option at least. I can live without it I guess, but I do really miss having it. • When the washing cycle ends, I have to power off the machine before I can open the lid. I would prefer that the washer powered itself off automatically after the cycle so I didn’t have to do that extra step before opening the lid. (I tried to get around this with remote start + smart routine, but the remote start has to be reactivated manually at the washer every time the machine is powered on again, and it can’t be activated until after it’s been loaded because the lid locks once remote start is on. So it’s actually more work to accomplish this with a smart routine.) With the cons, my actual rating for this machine is 4.5 stars, but half star ratings aren’t an option here. Despite my few cons, I’m very pleased with this washing machine and would recommend it. The pros far outweigh any of my complaints, and huge capacity really is a quality of life improvement for me.
