Great product!!! We love this washer, bought 3 different times!

I'd like the ability to update this review following the first 90 days, that being stated so far this has been an excellent choice . The instructions were easy to understand and the washer functioned as expected. We will have a small learning curve adjusting to the controls. So far, this product meets and or exceeds our expectations. I'd also say that the delivery and installation went smoothly and the technician was professional and courteous.

I love this washer and I bought the matching dryer. The only thing I miss about my old one is a few of the settings like small loads. I do know I can download some more settings but then the family would not know how to access since the app is on my phone only. It is large enough for my king sized comforters and the new design makes it so I don't have to stand on a stool to reach the bottom.

Beautiful, efficient machine. Cleans very well. Very quiet. Only concern is the detergent trays do not drain well at the end of the cycle-often still filled with water, hard to dry them out

Probably the best washer have ever had, larg capacity super quiet good looking, easy to reach in .

Love this washer. I've had it for a year, no issues at all. works very good. remembers what loads I'm using and automatically dispenses soap and softener. I refilled them once a week or less. adjust everything on the LG app. notifications to the phone are super helpful to remember to move clothes into dryer in time.

First top loader purchase since front loaders came out. So far I am very happy with my purchase choice. Low maintenance, large compacity, quiet and does not leave residue like my previous GE front loader did. I appreciate the app as it connects to my dryer, washer and above stove microwave. Depending how things go I may upgrade my oven/stove top to the LG thinQ as well.

Have owned multiple brands of washers before. Purchased this washer because of ease of use, capacity and efficiency. Has not disappointed!!!

Washer is good until you need warranty work. We needed the suspension and shock absorbers replaced after 4 months. Sounded like a golf ball bouncing whenever the tub moved. All LG support is obviously non-US and pretty worthless. Took many hours to get someone to actually understand the issue and get a warranty claim started. LG did cover the $425 in parts/labor so that was good. The process should be way easier. Both repair technicians recommended Speed Queen.

Modern styling, large capacity and simple usage all made for a great impression. Since using the wash is clean, machine is quiet and I am very satisfied.

We purchased the LG8400C washer based on it's top load feature and capacity. The interior is huge - literally you could put a small person in it. It's functioning better than our prior front load LG as the clothes come out feeling clean and not feeling like they are still coated with detergent. The cycles are pretty obvious and it operates fairly easily with selection. BUT, it really lacks flexibility in cycle selection. For instance, if you want to run the "Normal" cycle and then add an extra rinse the unit automatically shifts into "Deep Fill" mode. I don't want Deep Fill I just want an extra rinse. Anyone whose had organic chemistry knows that more extractions are better than doing a higher volume of fewer extractions - duh!! Apparently the engineers who designed this unit never had that class. Anyway you CAN select variations in water temp, soil level, and spin speed. The lights on the display that show what cycle features you've selected are a bit dim and if your unit is placed near a window, it can be hard to read these. The black top of the unit shows every spec of dust, lint, and fingerprints so if you are OCD about it looking sleek, this is not the unit for you. If I had the flexibility to do this purchase over again, I would reconsider getting a unit that has better cycle flexibility. We had no way of knowing when we stood looking at this one on the show room floor that we would not be able to just add an extra rinse without it kicking into Deep Fill mode. So yes, I'm a little frustrated with the lack of flexibility. Still the clothes come out clean and it operates pretty quietly in my opinion despite spinning at very high speed so the clothes dry quickly afterwards.

We like it a lot . Super quiet, easy to use,, holds a lot more than our old one.

Love this large capacity top load washing machine. It is better for my space than a front loader. I am able to allow the wash basin to air dry after a wash to prevent mold. Front loader just did not work in my space. My old washer was a front loader and because of the space it was in we could not keep the washer door open. Mold developed in the basin in the old washer. This is quite and washes clothes exceptionally well. Highly recommend!

This has been a great upgrade, it is quiet, it seems efficient and the timing estimates are accurate. Our use of the washer is fairly average, no extremely large items but we do use it frequently for day-to-day items and it has performed very well.

Solid washer. Quiet. Clothes come out clean and almost dry from the spin cycle. Not a bulky machine. Looks really good in person pictures do not do it justice.

Easy to use. Large washing bin. Does a wonderful job. A terrific purchase.

This is a great machine. It holds a lot of clothes, even king sized bedding. It looks good and is holding up well doing 3+ loads every week. I like that the end cycle sounds are changeable and customizable.

After months of use, we are extremely pleased with this washer. Since we haven't had many modern style washers, it has been a very welcome upgrade. Easy to use, fun sounds and you can't go wrong with a soft close lid!!
