Very Nice!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 50" UP8000 series. I have only watched this TV with it's own components and an LG sound bar. That being said (Curb Your Enthusiasm), it is a fantastic TV. It is the best TV I have owned under $500 and blows my Samsung 7-Series out of the water. I just moved and will be hooking up my Apple 4K TV with Dolby Vision (combined with my LG sound bar that has Dolby Atmos), and it should be a highly cinematic experience at a lower-cost. I would love to own an OLED or Vizio P-Series or M-Series Q8, but this is what I could afford and what was available, and it is a great picture and TV. The remote can be annoying with its pointer-icon, but it is easy to get rid of it by using the circular scroll thing. It also makes an annoying sound with snow when I turn it on, but I quickly push the home icon, and it brings up the home screen. I am very happy with this purchase so far. I have not interacted with LG customer service before, but I hope they take as much care with their customer service as they do with the quality of their TVs and sound bars.

GREAT TV; excellent picture; interface needs work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic television! I returned a Samsung for this and the difference was immediate. First, the ease of the menu is better. Not perfect, but better. The controller will want to switch to pointer mode at times, and sometimes you don't want it to, but it does it anyway. Frustrating. The picture is outstanding. I watched my favorite movie and was a tad shook by how crystal clear the picture was. The sound is pretty good too, although I supplemented it with a sound bar; optical connection. The LG lets you choose where your sound comes out, including both TV and soundbar. Pretty neat. I haven't had a television subscription for 20 years, so my intention was squarely focused on using this with Pluto. That works perfectly, but I was surprised that LG also has it's own television channels. Combined with Pluto there's not much you can't watch. At last, true internet television! Overall just a good television. Not too heavy, doesn't seem to overheat but it will put out a little heat. Noticeable in a small room if you leave and come back.

Insignia 50in. TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was amazed that setup was so simple and fast. The colors are vibrant and the audio is clear and crisp without a sound bar. This is the second Insignia TV I’ve bought and very satisfied with both.

Surprisingly good picture for a lower end model
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surprisingly good quality and easy setup. Easy connection to cable and most of the work was automatic. Remote and on screen controls are very logical. This is a step up from the entry model and well worth the added cost, which wasn’t much. The comparison done at the store by the staff sold me on this one and so far, not disappointed.

Best TV I have owned yet!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the picture and sound way better than Samsung. The magic remote is great and user friendly. I love the Airplay 2 feature. So awesome to be able to display stuff from my phone to the tv with just a tap or two. For example, my workout videos on u tube and apple fitness to turn the living room into a gym whenever you like. I am glad I didn’t buy that Bose speaker, don’t need it.

Great TV and at this price you can't beat it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UP8000 series picture is a wonderful quality picture. Very clear and bright screen. We purchased this for the bedroom however, we used it in the living room as a primary tv until our new one arrived. Having it in the living room with two windows near it we didn't get any picture display issues with sunlight like our old tv used to have. The viewing angle is very good as well. The TV is in the bedroom now and still looks great. Sound is clear and doesn't require a sound bar. Even watching sports I didn't see any motion blur like I was worried about. I have connected the tv to the internet both with ethernet cable and using wifi and both work fine. The apps are a little slow to load for the streaming channels but the variety you get between Pluto TV and LG TV is quite a lot being they are free. The smart tv software OS is a bit glitchy at times but maybe it will improve in future updates. I would recommend this tv for both living room or bedroom.

Very happy with this TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great unit, Colors are true & Pictures are Crisp. Only thing I can see wrong is the viewing angle is fine for a small room like ours, but Would be too narrow in a wider room.

LG Standards Slipping
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed by some details: 1. TV on-air tuner is not as strong as on previous LG47 TV (maybe because this is 4k?) and only gets half the channels as the old one with enough signal to not break up - with exactly the same antenna and location. 2. Smart TV is missing a lot of apps like PBS Passport and Acorn TV and there is no way to add them, no flexibility in the system. 3. The power cord is ridiculously short, shorter than previous TV, and I have to use an extension cord for an on-wall installation. Bought LG out of loyalty and now I am regretting it a bit.

NIce tv!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Samsung tv finally gave up the ghost and I was looking for a replacement. I don't watch much tv, but I do like to have one in the family room for the grandchildren. This tv has been a pleasure to watch. Crisp, clear pictures, easy setup, and I have actually been surprised by how well it sounds. I am very happy with my purchase.

God, but..
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture with small problem. Easy setup, no manual. I couldn't figure outhow to eliminate a very irritating feature, vocal response to remote inputs. Foor example, volume up would announce eachh step increas, same for channels. Fortunately, asking BestBuy online gave me the easy, if not logical, fix. (Under setup then, general, then accessibility, angf finally audio guidance.)

Magic TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 10+ years with a 32" television, we decided to upgrade by 18" to this little gem. It rests on our mantle now and has become a welcome addition to the household. The magic remote is positively space age - you point it at the screen and a little teardrop dances at your whim. Sometimes the cursor is more entertaining than the premium content.

Great Service
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our Geek Squad Rep, Anthony, called in advance to let us know of his approximate arrival time and was right on time. He went through the installation process step by step of our new LG TVvas he was doing it and even found a way to install our blu-ray into our audio/visual component stack. He made sure we understood each phase of connecting to everything we wanted on the TV including our apps like Disney+ and Netflix. Anthony was very patient in answering all our questions and made sure we could access everything on the TV without any problems. We have had LG tv's previously but this 8000 series is a much better unit.

LG 50" TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This LG 50" TV was recommended by Consumer Reports and that is why I chose it as a replacement for our 12 year old TV that was beginning to have issues. The unit is the right size for the existing space. It has many useful functions/capabilities being a SMART TV with internet connectivity. The picture and sound are excellent. The Energy Star rating is very good. It comes with a sufficient number of connecting ports.

Good TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for a fitness room. Picture and sound are good for this purpose. Planning on purchasing a better quality TV for family room. Works well for intended use. Disappointed that I had to also purchase a Roku so I could access my Spectrum streaming app.
