Easy installation (if you have the right windows). I have a hopper window so I removed the pane and replaced it with a custom cut piece of acrylic. cools apartment well, not as noisy as i expected from other reviews.

Purchased the item at the last minute and the result was completely different from other purchases made that way. It worked very well! The four star rating was due to two points. 1). The buttons on the panel have to be pressed in exactly the correct place or the command won't be accomplished. We are talking 1/16th of a inch here. 2). The fact that the air conditioner is supposed to be moveable is defeated by the implementation of the window exhaust system. The implementation results in an almost permanent syste. The need to iuse single and double sided Padded inserts requires that much destruction be done to the old installation before the neew one can be done. Right now my installation is limited to movement controlled by the length of the exhaust hose. Item 2) above is not to much of a worry in my caases. But, it could be for many others. The item 1) problem was extremely frustrating at the beginning; however, after a few days of trial and error I was able to figure out just where the presses should be made. I still don't hit the buttons correctly every time. But I do know where I should be pressing. Using the supplied remote does alleviate the problem though. I just don't like trying to find the rfemote when I can just walk over to the unit and press the buttons.

Does its job of keeping the room cool. Read in other reviews that it was loud. It does make noise, but have not had other portable ACs to compare. Although I have heard windows ACs, they all make noises. love the fact that I can use during the winter for heater (Not yet tried, but another reason why I paid extra for this) and use as a fan too.

In spite of all the recommendations as to why you should'nt...and the logical explanations to back that up...I'm using this to cool down a 600+ sq. ft., 3 door garage so I can get out there and work on projects. Summer temps in the upper 90's and heat indexes of 105 + preclude working out there with the doors open and fans blowing. Temporarily, I have the exhaust hose tapped into a side storm door using the included kit...and covering the glass with craft paper to help block radial heat from the sun. If I turn it on first thing in the morning, temps will hover in the mid 80's which is'nt bad for an area that leaks air like a seive! A little sealing around the pull down stairs to the storage above the garage will only improve things...now that I've discovered this unit has 3 fan speeds it's even better. And this winter, there'll be heat to knock off the chill.

Installation instructions were good. Cools well. Yes there is noise, but not notably louder than any other window or portable AC unit I've seen.

Great product! Works as advertised. This model is a little noisy with the fan on high, but overall it performs great. This unit was a return, someone else didn't like it, the folks at Best Buy made me a great deal on it, which made this purchase easy. Even without the deal I would buy it again.

I purchased this unit for a workshop attached to my garage for both heat and cool. Since it's summer and 97 degrees outside, I have not tried the heat cycle, but I can tell you the cool cycle is great. The shop is 30' x 15' and it's cooled very soon and maintains the set temperature just fine. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

Put this into an upstairs bedroom. Not only cools this room, but with a box fan, it also cools the second room down the hall.

I love setting the timer on the machine to cool the room before I enter. I also enjoy having it turn off when it reaches the right temperature. This helps keep my electric bill from being ridiculous. Excited for the heating component come winter.

Easy, great air conditioner for inexpensive price.

This air conditioner cools but is a little noisy. It makes a gurgling noise when it starts or stopa a cooling cycle

I bought this 14000 btu portable unit looking for something to cool down the whole large living room and this works perfectly. A lot quieter than expected and I don't have to turn the tv way up to hear it like I do with fans.

The portable AC IS GOOD FOR A 20x20 room the control is great but one thing is that the control to the ac needs is light for the remote control it is impossible to adjust at night due to lack of off lighting

Even though it takes a while to cool down the sun room. It does what I want it to do. My only thing is that it pulls a lot of electricity which makes for a very expensive bill each month.

Cools quickly and efficiently. Remote works great, but don't try using it at night, as its not lit--just a minor issue. The only hitch in the AC system is when the unit cycles off....its makes a audible "clunk" when it turns off, and if I'm nearly asleep, it wakes me up....other than that, this system is a true winner.....can't wait to use it to warm up the room during the winter.

Aside from a bit of noise, I knew that was expected, but it works as advertised!

Excellent air-conditioner I use this air-conditioner outdoors in my barbecue area and could not be happier with aunt's ability to keep the area below 80° in Phoenix weather

I purchased this unit for my elderly mother about a month ago . It was easy to set up and easy for her to use. Overall great purchase. No issues as of so far.

i like this product it blows out cold air even when your drying the air as well
