This is an excellent basic HDTV (no internet connectivity, no 3D), which is exactly what I wanted, because I get the internet connectivity through my Apple TV and I don't care for 3D. The picture quality is surprisingly good. Colors are very rich, yet natural (similar to the more expensive Sony TVs I used to buy). Only with fast moving action you may see some blur. Given the low cost (especially low for me since I picked it up as a doorbuster on Black Friday), I am VERY happy! The TV was very easy to set up.

Got this TV on Black Friday for $499, it's a great price for a Name Brand 55" TV. Nothing fancy but just a plain TV, no 3D, not an Smart TV, do not support any form of Videos thru USB port(just photos). 2 HDMI ports might not be enough for some people without a receiver. No VGA input as well for older version of Laptop. Picture quality is great especially with 120Hz. Built-in speakers perform very good compare with other slim TV, no sound bar needed.

Let's be honest, I got this TV because it was a black friday deal for a TV that would fit perfectly in the opening I had for it. I am generally satisfied with the purchase, but this is the largest TV i have ever owned (42" LCD was what I had before) and I will say that the motion blur is noticeable. I agree that the 120Hz versus "trumotion 120Hz" thing is an issue but for the price I would have probably still pulled the trigger on this one.

I bought this tv for my gaming room where it is connected to my Xbox 360. Playing Ghosts in all its great imagery! Setup was simple, the off air tuner works great-I watch the NFL there because Dish only gives you 720p. My only 2 complaints, no mini plug audio out-I use a set of computer speakers so I had to purchase a converter and the optical out only works with the HDMI. Second, the HDMI inputs should face down, not back so I had to buy a 90 deg for wall mounting. But overall I love it!

This was a Black Friday purchase, so I got it for a great deal. I had been looking for a better tv than what I had and am familiar with the LG brand. The picture is very clear and it's easy to setup and use. Minor thing I wish it had that my old tv did was the ability to turn the screen while on the base to adjust viewing angle left to right. Like I said MINOR detail and I'm sure it's in part due to a larger tv. I would recommend this product to others looking for a good 55" tv.

Got this TV on Black friday for $499. I can't really complain about the TV because it was cheap for a 55" LED. It has decent sound, the picture quality is average. I do play my Xbox One on it.. and it looks good. If I wanted a nice TV, I would've stuck with Samsung. I knew what I was getting into for a budget 55" LED. Now if it was over $499, I would be upset. But I do recommend this if you can still get it for a deal!

For a basic, no frills LED HDTV- this is awesome! Picture & sound are great; changing picture & sound quality is a breeze for movies, games, etc. The down side is this TV has only 2 HDMI slots- so if you have your HD DVR, gaming console, & streaming player- take your pick of two. Other than that, it's a beautiful large picture that suits our family's needs. It was a Black Friday bargain & we were looking to save $$ while getting a nice HD LED. We are very happy so far!

If you like evil fighting robot movies or hardcore war movies then this is the tv for you! Heck this thing will even make a chick flick bearable as the picture is so clear you can see the pores on ol Casanova's nose(as you are busy daydreaming about Optimus Prime and Rambo pummeling his face). In short, this fine piece of engineering material was not made for watching Say Yes To The Dress, this is a mans tv son!

I got this TV at the $399.00 Black Friday price. It was buy far the best TV deal of the season considering what you get. Some people knock it for only having 2 HDMI inputs but that problem is easily and cheaply solved by purchasing an HDMI switcher. There aren't as many picture option features as some of the other LG's, but trust me the picture is great and you can easily dial it in to your liking. I would call this TV a great bargain at any price under $600.00.

Bought this TV for a great room to put on our wall above a fireplace. We are very happy with the TV and used Best Buy for the installation as well, which definitely was a bonus as the installer was a pro and got every up and going in no time. Whereas other installers were scratching their heads on how to install on the wall we wanted. Definitely was a great choice for us. We use it more than other TV's we have in our house because we like it so well.

Picked up this TV on Black Friday for only $499. Didn't need the Smart TV functions to connect to the internet as this is for my fiance's dad. For someone who just wants a newer TV, this is a great pick-up. It's full HD at 1080p and 120HZ. The colors are good and sound even better, especially for the stock speakers. It could use more HDMI inputs, but overall, this is a good TV for the price.

I bought it on black Friday and the t.v. is great for the price I paid, which was 500.00+tax. I am pleased with the picture quality and love playing my video games on it and watching bluray movies with my ps3. Just wish the t.v. was louder but I heard that problem is the same with a lot of led flat screens. A sound bar is always suggested. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

I asked several times what the refresh rate was and the response was always "120". No mention was made of Tru Motion. When I picked up the unit I checked the box and saw no mention of 120 so I asked again and got the same assurance. I would have bought this set anyway because of the price and it is fine for what I need, but it was no bargain; it is worth no more than I paid.

The picture quality is not always the greatest especially with shows that have a lot of action. The tv gets blurry. It would be better if it was a 240 hz, but a great deal for the price. I paid $500.00 for the tv at Best Buy on Black Friday 2013. The power cord is located in the upper middle of the back of the tv. I thought it would be near all the other inputs.

For the price you could not beat this Tv. Purchased for my daughter and she was very happy with it. She tells me that her friends now want me as a father, and she is the envy of her friends. The guys all come to her apartment to watch the game now. As a father maybe I should have purchased a smaller one. Ok overall good tv for the price, and I would recommend.

so far so good. nice crisp picture with plenty of input connections. the price was the best I could find when comparing apples to apples. I wasn't willing to buy off brand or something I haven't herd of before. the sound could be a little better but it is a flat screen. how big do you think the speakers could possibly be? hopefully I'll get years of good use out of this nice tv. I'd buy it again tomorrow.

It is a sleek design with very little border around it so although it is a larger TV it does not take over the room. We were replacing a 42 inch with it and were concerned about the size but it is not an issue We did consider getting a smart TV but with phones and tablets in hand how often would you really use that feature. HD quality is excellent with a clear crisp picture. We feel we got a great buy!

Great deal o this TV and I couldn't be happier. Add in some hdmi cables and watch what you are watching really pop. You'll be amazed the difference hddmi cables make over normal red, white and yellow jacks. Video games will literally almost make you cry at how beautiful the are. The sound is eh ok but do yourself. A favor and hook it up to a system. This is the type of product you build around.

Got this tv on Black Friday for $500. Boy what a steal that was given it's 1080p, 120hz, and it's 55" diagonally. Great tv for video games. Just purchased the xbox one on launch day and needed a new tv to go with it. I'm normally a vizio or samsung guy but this deal was too good to pass up. Next investment will be a sound bar cause that's the only flaw this tv has is it having rear speakers.

Excellent TV for gaming and watching movies or TV. Picture is really clear and crisp, it's bright and my favorite feature is that it swivels. So there is no need to turn entire tv to one direction or another. I have both the 50in and 55in of this TV and I would be inclined to always buy this brand because of how great the TV and picture is.
