This is a great standard Hi-Definition TV. The picture is good and the sound system is great. There are multiple sound modes you can choose from and the speaker output is great. The picture is crisp and clear. 120 Hz is great for movies and sports. It does have a good bit of glare if you have bright lights on in the room, however.

Great picture. Nice remote. No swivel base. Awful sound (worse than other flats I have owned). Only 2 hdmi. Overall for the money cannot go wrong......however I am holding my breath. It was made to be a Black Friday sale tv so I wonder how cheap it may be. Hoping it last for a least 5 years.

I went to Best Buy to see the black Friday deals. I fell in love when I saw LG 55 inch led HD TV THE PICTURE IS GREAT THE PRICE EXCELLENT.I also purchased the extended warranty threw Best Buy 4 year plan in home service $100.00 more I could not be happier. I recommend looking for this deal at Best Buy when they get more in stock.

My husband and I purchased this tv for my parents for Christmas, they were so surprised! They just love it and it replaces their old 36" 720 tv that was just too small and not as great quality. This is soemthing they would have never purchased for themselves and with the great price we just couldn't resist. Thank you Best Buy!!!!

I purchased this TV on Black Friday, the price was great, LG has a good reputation, I placed the order online the TV arrived by Wednesday. I hooked up the unit and was impressed right away with the clarity of the picture and sound. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking to replace an existing unit. Great value and Great TV !

Going from a plasma to this LED 120 hz. I've been nothing short of impressed. Picture is excellent for sports in HD and bluray movies. This TV is thin and light with far less power consumption compared to the plasma. My brother in law paid hundreds more for a similar TV and this is far better. Great holiday pricing from Best Buy.

Bought this tv on Black Friday and had very high hopes. I've owned other lg products before and have always been happy until now. I passed over other tv's based on the price and the fact that it was 55" and 120hz. As many others have posted, this tv is a 60hz panel and lg 'fakes' 120hz using processing. This is not a huge deal, except for the fact that the picture is sub par at best, not even as good as the insignia I bought for my bedroom. Tried using settings I found all over the net as well as trying my own, and I never got the picture to an acceptable level, not even for a $499 tv. I returned it a week later and bought a true 120hz samsung 55" 1080p flat panel for $799, and the picture is amazing with minimal adjustments. I Would recommend the samsung and would say to stay away from this lg.

I got it for a good price, which is always a plus of course. In order to get good image quality you must have light(s) off and blind(s) closed. So far, I don't have much to complain about this LG LED TV but I do recommend this item. I don't give 5 stars since nothing is ever perfect.

Advertised as 120HZ refresh rate, but is only 60HZ (specified in owners Manual). Otherwise has very good picture. It only has 2 HDMI input jacks and only an . Optical audio out jack. Most menu functions are good, allowing sufficient user adjustments. Unbeatable for price of $498.00

I bought this TV during the Black Friday sale. The reviews I had read we're mixed but I thought I would try it for myself. I must say that I have been very happy. I had friends over to watch some bowl games during the holidays and they all commented on how clear the picture was. I have no regrets in purchasing this TV.

great tv, awesome black Friday deal :) LG maker super Nice TVs, fewer input ports than normal, no PC in, but I knew all that before I bought it. My PC has HDMI out, so doesn't matter. Most TVs have mediocre sound these days, you pretty much use them for a display with your home theatre system. Same goes for this one.

Great picture and sound quality at a wonderful best buy price. Was between two televisions one being larger and more expensive salesman was helpful and honest which led me to purchase the this one. No complaints and enjoy watching tv. Hands down Best buy always offers the best in customer service, prices, and quality.

Picked one up when it went on sale during thanksgiving. One of the best TV's I have owned. Nice picture and sound quality, no dead pixels. Holds up pretty well. The sound could be a little better but its fine for just watching shows. Not so much for movies

Overall it's great TV, especially I bought it with a pretty good price. I love playing my pS3 on it. Or even just watching HD channels & watching my favorite sports on TV. I love LG brand, they make pretty good & worth the price. My previous TV was LG also (LCD HGTV), I've had it for 7 years now til I got this LED.

I got this TV at a great deal on Black Friday. Overall, I'm very happy with it! The picture quality is second to none. The TV looks great for movies and even better for sports! The speakers are pretty awful, but I have it hooked up to surround sound. I wish it were a smart TV.

Purchased on black friday, great deal. I have chromecast and a smart blu-ray player, so I didn't need a smart TV. The TV looks great, very slim, good viewing angles, etc. Been using a little over a month now, and no quality concerns so far. I just wish there were more inputs.

Purchased this on Black Friday off an add. Have never owned any LG products before or purchased anything off a Black Friday ad. We are truly impressed with the clear crisp picture, sound quality and features. And for the price you can't beat it. Easy to assemble. Would definitely purchase more LG products again.

Originally my boyfriend wanted a Samsung 55', 1080p 240hz but the only ones that I could get on the Black Friday sale were 3D or smart tv's. He did not want either one of those so I opted for the LG 55" 1080p 120hz. He actually prefers this television better. I cannot believe what a deal I got and he loves it!

I am retired, have eye problems, and the sale price was the reason I was able to buy it. Another plus was that at that time there was no charge for delivery, set up and taking the old TV that was not working. Picture and sound are great at this time and the remote is wonderful. I did recommend it to a friend .

Fantastic TV. We bought it on Black Friday for 50% off and honestly it's been worth every cent. We have a Wii U and a PS3 so we don't need a smart TV, and I'm glad we didn't get one. My only complaint, (more like suggestion) is that LG puts a third HDMI port on it. Other than that, it's perfect for our needs.
