We were looking for the best TV for our budget. We did shop around at other stores after reading reviews online. Our plans were to find a Smart TV that was at least 50" so we can cut the cable cord. Best Buy had a great deal on this 55" with Roku already installed. We've had a LG Smart TV before this so we knew LG was going to be our go to. Love the combo and the easy set up. The remote is fantastic! I never knew that I wanted a simple remote. It makes it easier for my elderly Mother and not so tech savy Husband to use. The menus are easy to navigate and the picture quality is great for us too. I saw other reviews that said the picture quality was horrible. For the price and features it was a win for us. I would definitely recommend this to any family on a budget.

After the worst ever buying experience attempting to purchase this tv online at best buy.com for my husband for Christmas, I finally get this huge tv home. After all of that I prayed it would work and look beautifully and it does! I love LG products .the price was amazing and the Roku is the best streaming product out there. We used to use a chrome cast to watch movies and cast from our devices now we just use the tv. My husband and my son love it! So do I! The picture quality is great for watching everything , from football to video games to movies... So glad I persevered and made this purchase. Hopefully it will work flawlessly for years to come like our 42 in LG is still doing.

TV has only been in use for a couple of months but I find it to have a nice bright, easy to view picture. The Roku Smart TV feature was easy to setup and works flawlessly. ( I'm 60 + ) For the price range I don't think you can go wrong.

I love this TV and I loved the price even more. I hesitated buying thinking to hold out for better sales but I keep checking back and I definitely got a great deal for 55' this is an amazing price and BRAND and i finally figure out that DUH i had to put the TV on the HD channels to get the perfect picture :) Great TV and better price for 55 inches

This is a great TV for the size/price. Nice picture, the Roku ability is great and its easy to switch from Netflix/Roku/Cable etc. Only complaint is the remote is so tiny it keeps getting misplaced! In all seriousness, this was very easy to set up, has great picture and I'm really glad I got this TV

This TV is amazing! The clarity is fantastic and it is so easy to use. The set up was even simple. We are Samsung lovers in my house, but this TV may just top the Samsung we already own. You will not be disappointed in this TV!

My wife me I were looking for a larger television that had the features we have grown accustomed to. We view over the air channels, subscribe to Netflix and are ROKU users. Well this set fit the bill...and my wife has been more than pleased with the features, performance and ease of use.

A beautiful sleek flat screen that looks like a piece of art hanging on the wall. The technology is incredible with all the latest applications (Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, ROKU TV etc) all built in including Wi-Fi. Sooooo incredibly easy to setup that even a beginner could do it. Super easy navigation of the menus etc. I feel that this TV combines all the lessons that have been learned throughout the years on what to do and what not to do when designing a TV. I loved this TV so much that o went ahead and bought the 65" for my living. I got them both mounted and they look awesome! Can't recommend this TV enough!

This is a very basic TV. It boots directly into a Roku menu and from there you can select what you'd like to do. The issue is that each app (or aux input) will have its picture set to the default settings. This default has everything looking washed out and purple for some reason. With every single app I had to go through the picture settings and adjust until things looked normal. The picture options are very limited (even in "advanced picture" options). I found it best to use the normal mode, with the temperature set to warm. The roku menu seems great, I like having all of these apps available as soon as I start the TV. The downside is that the playback is sub-par. Netflix, Hulu etc all play back very laggy and grainy. I was first worried it was an issue with my internet connection, but when I switched to my PS4 and used the apps from there, the playback had no issues. I will note that the playback has gotten better overtime, but it still is behind what my Playstation and Xbox are capable of showing. Also, the remote is not backlit and has few options for use. It's ok if you just use the D-Pad to select an aux connection and then switch to that device's remote/controller. However, if you try to use one of the TV's built in apps, it becomes a much less useful remote for controlling playback. I would recommend downloading the Roku app on your smart phone and using that for navigating/controlling playback instead. I got this TV on sale at a phenomenal price for a 55" HDTV, and at that price I am happy with the purchase, the experience is in line with what I paid. If I had paid full price for this, I would have returned it and found something with a better user experience or a bigger screen.

I bought this as an early Christmas present for my family. It is a powered by Roku tv . I read some reviews where people were complaining about the set-up, but as I was already familiar with Roku, I found it to be a very easy process. The remote is basically the same as the ones that come with the newer Roku models, except for the volume controls located on the side. I have accidentally hit the mute button a couple of times, but I don't consider it a big deal. Overall I feel the picture quality is great, the set-up easy, and I have no complaints. It may not be a super-hd quality picture, but I personally don't enjoy seeing every wrinkle, pore, and blackhead on people's faces, so this works for me. If you are looking for an easy set-up and a good value, then this would be the television for you.

Got this T.V. for girlfriends Dad to replace his old 2002 50 in projection T.V.. We hung it on the wall which was easy with universal VERSA mounting points. Picture is great. Roku TV was very easy to set up and use. Teaching her parents took all of 5 minuets. Being a smart TV was not a selling point for me since I am huge fan of chrome cast but still very happy how easy and fast roku works on the tv. Sound is alright, clear but depending if your on cable or netflix sometimes volume needs to be cranked to like 60-70 to be loud enough. Viewing angles are nice... some dinning room table chairs sit almost parallel to the TV and still can view tv without any distortion. So can the TV have a better refresh rate yes, but for the price probably best TV I seen for around 500 bucks.

We went into Best Buy for a different tv hat we had researched for days. When we got to Best Buy we found out they were sold out and wouldn't get any in until after the sale. To be honest I'm glad the tv was sold out because it led us to this tv. It has an awesome picture, it's clear, and has anything you can imagine. If you are looking for a smart tv for a price and still getting top quality without breaking the bank this tv is the right fit.

We did not realize what we were missing in clarity on our older flatscreen TV. We are TOTALLY thrilled with the picture, ease of set -up and use, especially the streaming aspect. Could not be happier.

TV Review The TV is 60hz if you are a stats guy or girl then look elsewhere, now if you need a good quality TV and like having some smart features than this is a great value. It is a LG/Roku TV which means that it does not have LG software so if you are used to LG software this will be different. This is my first Roku experience and my only complaint is that it does not steam at full quality, netflix from my play station looks a lot better. Geek Squad review... I bought mine as an open box and bought along with it a 2 year warranty from geek squad, the tv had issues connecting to wifi, I called and with 1 trip to diagnose and 2nd trip to fix, the GS fixed my TV in my home. The GS is awesome!

The picture quality is excellent. Details are very crisp, vibrant and true to life. The Roku smart features are very easy to use and navigate. The flat panel is nice and thin and looks great hanging on the wall. The only negative associated with this LG model is the sound. The sound is very thin (e.g. - all treble). However, a sound bar or home theater system will resolve those concerns. If you can deal with the audio short comings, you should really enjoy this product in your home.

We got a great deal on this TV before Christmas. We had a smaller TV with a Roku1 device we have used for several years. Instead of just updating our Roku, we opted for this larger screen with Roku built in. The TV is great. Image is good. Streaming is good. As to the Roku feature, of course, most of what you can watch and how well it streams depends on your router and your cable access. Some Roku channels have free shows, others (ESPN, History, etc.) require you to log in through a cable provider. So, it's not free cable. Knowing what to expect, we were not disappointed, and in fact were very pleased. It's a high quality TV with the added benefit of Roku.

I bought this tv because it was the cheapest 55" tv at bb and had good brand recognition. The roku feature was just a plus. Even though the roku partnership was done as a cost saving measure it has one of the best UI's for any smart tv I've used. The features are easy to use and setup is a breeze. The remote could be limiting if you still use cable and require a number pad but I like the size and simplicity. I have this set up with an Apple TV and can access almost any form of media between the two.

This is a good size TV for any living / family room. It has a crisp picture & good quality sound. It's easy to setup a TV these days, this one was no exception. Just plug in the HDMI cables & we were good to go. We replaced a 720p plasma with this TV & I like this one better - of course it is 1080p, so the specs are better, but the led is as crisp as the plasma in our case. We use Netflix. I haven't tried any other features other than HD cable & netflix, but we are pleased.

I was very pleased at how easy my TV was to set up and how easy it was to get started with Roku TV. The picture from my HDMI inputs is fantastic! I was most pleasantly surprised with the quality of the built-in speakers. I bought an LG TV because of my satisfying experience with my previous TV, which was from the same manufacturer and how reasonable the price was.

I bought this tv as an open box item to save a few more bucks. I didn't want to spend a fortune on new technology. I was very happy and surprised! I hooked up a Roku 4 and immediately watched some 4K on Amazon. It was brilliant. Then I went to the built in YouTube app and watched some of their videos. Blown away again. I only have an antennae and even that picture looked better than 1080p with the up scaling. Set up was simple. The remote is user friendly and it even has a keyboard on the back! I highly recommend, especially for entry level low budgets!
