Recently the living room television went bad and I needed a replacement. I decided to relocate my 2021 B2 to the living room and purchase the C2 for my bedroom.
The LG B2 (2021) is not bad by any means it is a great television but the issue I had with it is that it only had 2 HDMI 2.1 ports. I easily used both with my PS5 and Xbox and that didn’t leave me with anymore and overtime it bothered me enough to go and upgrade.
:::Initial thoughts:::
Being an owner of an OLED I’m well aware of the picture quality, perks and I follow the technology closely. So I was looking forward to the improved quality that was rumored for the new 2022 models. The box for the 55 inch model was very light and fit easily in the back of my SUV and seeing that made me wish I had purchased the 65inch model. Only thing is it doesn’t fit on my current TV stand but that’s alright.
Taking the TV out of the box and setting it up was a breeze. The TV stand is a little too low for me I wish it were a little taller but it all worked out just fine. The stand is very sturdy and it doesn’t wobble at all which is great. The stand is centered in the middle and it isn’t like two feet just one slab of plastic that sits in the center of the television. The remote comes with cheap batteries which is something I didn’t like because a thousand plus dollar television shouldn’t come with dollar store batteries.
After the setup the television looked as breathtakingly I’d hoped. The big difference between the B1 and the C2 is the upgraded processor and the brighter panel which reaches 1000 nits or a little more if I’m not mistaken. I connected my PS5, Series X, gaming PC and Shield TV and they all look amazing in HDR and Dolby Vision.
:::Display & Sound:::
-Display-
The Display on the C2 is brighter than the previous generation by a Longshot. There is a new GUI and it is makes gaming easier having quick settings readily available. It resembles that of a high end gaming monitor.
The television has literally all the bells and whistles gamer, enthusiast or movie buff could want. I would advise to enable the AI features so that you can get the best experience possible while using the TV. I tested out the video quality with streaming video services such as Prime video, HBO Max and Netflix. I watched The Batman, Zac Snyder cut of the Justice League and other HDR and Dolby content. I was very pleased.
There’s a pixel shift feature and OLED care feature that will prolong the lifespan of the display and reduce burn in which is something that unfortunately plaques OLED panels. I have yet to experience this but it is a known problem for some.
-Sound-
I don’t particularly care for built in speakers for any television so I paired the C2 with an LG soundbar. I connected it via the optical port. I would have preferred to connect it via arc but I still find it ridiculous having to sacrifice a whole HDMI port for audio. I don’t see why a 5th HDMI port couldn’t be added to solely be used as arc/e-arc. Perhaps there’s a bandwidth limitation that prevents this who really knows as I’m not an expert on television manufacturing. I hope that’s addressed in the future because it would make things easier for those who don’t have a high end soundbar with pass-through like myself.
I enabled the sound AI and I’m pleased with the experience overall. I want a high end soundbar but I currently have to choose between that or a new graphics card. Long story short content with enhanced audio sounds great for what I’m currently using.
:::Pros & Cons:::
Pros
- 4 HDMI 2.1 ports
- Plenty of USB ports
- Top notch display
- Lightweight
- Easy to setup
- Has all the latest technology
- The perfect TV for media consumption
Cons
- Having to use an HDMI port for ARC
- No display port
:::Closing thoughts:::
I am really glad I upgraded my TV from the B1 to the C2 the clarity is amazing each and every time I watch HDR content or Dolby content. God of War looks amazing on this TV, Xbox games, PC games look great too.
Web OS is great fast and fluid and never slows down which is amazing but I prefer to use my Nvidia shield TV as a streaming device it supports all the latest features that are commonly used for media consumption such as HDR, HDR 10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Audio and whatnot. The issue with Web OS is that not every streaming application can be found on the platform. Minus that I literally have very little bad to say.
Overall LG makes the best OLED panels and they have refined the technology and features overtime. There are other competitors but they aren’t on the same level and often lack common features that you’ll find that work out of the box with LG OLED televisions.
:::TL;DR:::
If you’re searching for an OLED television for whatever reason then get an LG. They have something for every budget with the A,B,C & G series OLEDs. For Gamers though you’ll want the C series so go pick one up already you’ll be glad you did.

The best TV to own and the Best TV ever!

When i first heard about OLED in 2017 it looked absolutely incredible yet people were scared to buy if back then because the burn-in that those tv’s used to have. So for me i got myself a samsung QLED that lasted me for a long time as my first tv to ever own with my own money in my first apartment. Years went buy the lg cx came out and the reviews were all over the place, being the absolute monitor and tv killer on the market! And then two years went by, the legendary and the best tv to ever came out is now here! The LG C2, and boy ohh boy what an upgrade! My parents screamed at me for paying so much on this tv but it is worth every single penny IMO. And when they finally came to see the tv, they couldnt get their eyes off of it! Making it impossible to turn on because everything just looks amazing! No wonder why RTINGS mentioned that this is their highest rated tv of all time and the best of this year. Coming from someone that had qled for years and led panels all his life i can tell you for a fact that the upgrade to an oled is necessary! Not only did LG improve the burn in making it ages more resistant (if not proof according to testing and tech analysts) the features this tv has like dolby vision and hdmi 2.1 just makes it a must buy. Video games look incredible both on my ps5 and xbox series x (looks better on series x thanks to the full support of dolby vision in gaming while ps5 stays hdr 10), and with hdmi 2.1 im getting 4k 40fps with a full 120hz support so games on fidelity mode look outstanding and smooth on ps5, while the series x gets is 60fps mode almost locked on 4k most of the times. Movie wise, watching netflix and disney plus will make you jaw drop! I started watching dahmer and then obi wan kanobi and the picture quality on both is absolutely excellent! I dont need to go to the movies anymore. Overall this tv is a MUST BUY for me! If you dont own an lg c series oled then you should! And i would also recommend a nice sound bar for them even tho the sound on the tv is great we all know already that they aren’t immersive or anything special so i would suggest picking a 5.1 channel soundbar. And if youre looking to pick it up early next year just be aware that the price will roughly stay the same from what is shown right now.

Where do I begin ? LG has a another winner in their line up. The picture ia amazing. Better than a Qled from samsung and i own a samsung q90T as well. Dont get me wrong the samsung is a top notch performer and i like it too. The LG C2 is in a different league. The colors and the blacks are vivid and look extraordinary while viewing dolby vision and Hdr content. Tv supports dolby atmos too. The web os(smart tv) software looks okay and works. I’m more of an apple guy and im loyal to apple tv OS. Which looks amazing and works fluid with this set. I bought the 55 inch, and convinced my brother in law to get the 77 model. Looks just as good as mine. Couldn’t beat the black friday deal.

I have had this TV for a week, and I am very satisfied with it. Great pictures, black levels and colors, which all have very good and comprehensive adjustment levels. I traded it in for the previous 65" TCL QM8 which also has a very good picture, but sound adjustment didn't exist, whereas the LG C2 has an equalizer. It also has a far better remote too. While the TV was the same price as the TCL and it is 10" smaller, the picture is the same level except it is an OLED panel.
The TV is incredibly light and thin! The picture is as good as I expected it to be. And browsing it is easy and not a cluttered as I thought it would be. Also like the fact that my inputs can be edited just like the LG I had before this that died after having it many years. As an aside, Best Buy has been absolutely great with the delivery and return services along with their customer support. Customer support was fast, responsive and they answered important questions while the deliveries and the return were right on time (even early on my C2 order delivery.
Though this TV came out early last year, it is still a very good TV and well wroth the $1300 price! Having 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs is also a huge plus!

The upgrade over standard LED is staggering. The colors and contrast are perfect and the picture quality such a massive improvement, even over a standard UHD TV. It’s perfect for gaming enthusiasts and film fans alike, as it has great features for both. I was concerned about the potential of burn in and how bright it might get, but it has really great settings to care for the panel and it gets brighter than I expected. Pair with an LG soundbar and you have an awesome home theater set up. I’ve been loving it!

Absolutely love this tv, the shows and movies look amazing and the colors look so rich that I think it’s one of those movies in 3D. The only reason why it’s not 5 out of 5 stars is because of a few nitpicks that I have.
1. The remote. It’s big and bulky. No key illustration especially in dark rooms (which is almost everytime)
2. Certain shows that use Doby Atmos have like a glitch that appears in the background colors, certain jumping of animations/angles. But with certain toggles in the settings those go away. As I said little nitpicks.
Gaming: best purchase for games. I swear the quality has never been this smooth or the picture that realistic. The game settings menu is also much more convenient then others that pull out the whole settings menu just to change the tv mode.
All in all, this purchase has made me love OLED tvs so much more than the old LEDs that I used to have. Now I’m looking to upgrade my family room tv to an OLED so that the rest of my family can enjoy the of great cinema with OLED

Why buy an OLED from any other source than the OG, the developer and perfector... LG?! This TV is truly gorgeous and stunning. The LG master controller is intuitive and easy to use, and for those that don't know, has a mouse-style pointer built in. This pointer feature is crazy helpful when logging into accounts and setting up the TV. Be sure to youtube some setup videos on all the various settings, because the correct setup makes this screen incredible and really pop! The LG smart tv interface is another huge bonus to buying an OLED from the only source of OLED.
Spoiler Alert/Buyer info... LG makes all OLED screen panels and other manufacturers buy them and upcharge.
We waited a while to buy a new tv and did probably hundreds of hours of research and comparisons. We were initially concerned with an OLED being diagonal across from double windows, but the C2 is much brighter than expected and we haven't had a single issue with glare or color wash due to sunlight. We're so glad we went with the LG C2! We are completely loving everything thing about it. I recommend this to anyone and everyone! Its the best of all worlds and especially for the money.

Here are my pros and cons after upgrading from a TCL 6 Series LED to the C2 and using it for a few weeks:
-DolbyVision, HDR, and 4k content are they main areas where you will see a significant upgrade in picture quality. These formats look fantastic and are becoming more prevalent.
-The blacks are inky black. It has taken my eyes time adjust to this and adding a medialight to the back has helped my eyes and picture quality.
-Major upgrade in color accuracy from an LED, although if you're particular about this you're going to need to do some tweaking in the advanced settings. It's worth the work to do the research and get this right (or get it professionally calibrated).
-Better detail with things like skin textures, landscapes, etc.
-No more dirty screen effect, especially on sports like hockey. Hockey was a primary concern of mine and it looks really good on this TV.
The bad:
-Judder can be bad. Like, really bad. I have noticed this primarily on some of the Netflix nature shows. This only occurs during very slow panning. Thought it may be a Netflix issue but this doesn't happen on my TCL.
-Rarely while watching Game of Thrones there was a dimming issue. Once I pulled up the settings menu it would revert back to the correct bright level.
-Don't expect a major upgrade in picture quality with standard live programming like YoutubeTV, aside from color accuracy.
-As mentioned previously, some work is required if you're particular about color accuracy. Most of the preset picture modes are trash if you want lifelike colors.
-Not the best at handling motion, but neither are LEDs. Sports still look good but was hoping for more in this area.
-I can't imagine this TV would do well in a really bright room. My living room is moderately bright most of the and it does fine, but if I have all lights on in the living room and kitchen, there is a reflection issue.
-Last (and definitely worst) is the built in Web OS interface. I tried it for 2 days and had enough. It's not intuitive and lacks several major apps if you're a streamer. I also took the time to compare quality when streaming from WebOS native apps and the Roku Ultra I ended up buying, and the picture quality is better on the Roku. If you're coming from a Roku, Firestick or other decent streaming interface, WebOS will likely disappoint you. Really wish Roku was built in.
This is a great TV. If you are willing to spend the money, an A95K has slightly better color vividness, but this is a great mid-range TV. It isn't perfect but I'm glad I got an OLED!

Hands down one of, if not the best TV purchase I have ever made. I use it mostly for gaming when not using a PC monitor and it honestly is just as good. With its 4k, 120hz refresh, crisp colors and deep blacks, it makes everything so much more detailed and enjoyable! I highly recommend this tv to anyone looking for a new big screen!

LG C2 is amazing, I thought my former tv was pretty good. It was LG UHD, but this blows me away. The colors and clarity is great. Movies , sports and every show looks fantastic! HDR programs on this is TV are the only way to go! If you have not seen them on OLED then I feel sorry for you :-) Yes I was missing a lot before, but now I know how the picture was suppose to look like! LG won me over, I also have their gaming monitor, 21:9 ratio . Awesome for game playing on PC!

The LG OLED C Series has got to be the best price to performance and visually spectacular TV one can find on the market today. Colors are bright and vivid, true to life. The perfect black and high refresh rates are the main noticeable differences between this and a standard LED TV. I mean black is BLACK! There are so many features on this TV that even though I’ve had other C’s for several years I’m still discovering new things. Got my C2 open box at a phenomenal price (thanks Best Buy) I just couldn’t pass it up. Good excuse to build my credit with their credit card too.
I’ve included a picture even though it will never do this TV justice. You need to see it in person! Paired with a good sound bar and the smart LED lights it’s just magical.

Just a bit larger than my previous Panasonic which was a great brand, no issues with that TV since 2012, but I wanted to try a SMART TV and it was worth the upgrade. Just watch ANY 4k travel walkthrough on YouTube and you can see the picture quality & clarity are both amazing upgrades. Game Mode does not seem like a huge difference from regular TV viewing. This did have an issue with some pixel banding when first plugged in, but cleared up after a few days so if it happens just be patient you don't need to run right back to the store or do a pixel cleaning as I read online that can mess up the TV

The colors are lush. Netflix 4k content comes alive on the C2. And the 120hz refresh and VRR does wonders for XSX and PS5. My older Sony TV had horrible lag when gaming with Dolby Vision. The C2 with its gaming mode makes sure there's no lag while gaming with the best colors possible.
Perhaps the main con is the WebOS interface is no where as good as a standard Android TV. And LG has tried pushing ads a couple of times in the past.
Barring the OS, every feature of this TV is a killer.

Solid option for anybody looking for a perfect balance between money spent and picture quality. Decent sound quality, although you will use a sound bar anyways with this kind of TV, brightness is more than sufficient for any use, WebOs has come a long way, is faster, convenient and intuitive. Actually i was originally thinking about getting the A80K or A80L but honestly this is on par costing much less than both.

So far only have 10+ hours of a mix of regular cable and xbox x gaming and all looks great. Even cable that is only pushing out 1080p looks better. The colors are vibrant and takes the eyes a littlw getting used to for sure. Dont know theblong term quality yet as ive only had it for a few days. Some out of box calibration is needed to get the best picture but after that boy is it a beast of a screen. The light and slim compact design was a plus for hanging on a floating swivel mount.

This TV has been great for me. Visually solid, great in a dark and bright environment. Nice speakers for a skinny TV.
Only drag is that ESPN+ application isn’t available for it. You gotta go through Hulu. But that isn’t a deal breaker. I’m looking forward to buying another for my living room!
