I had been into led lcd backlit tvs usually Sony or Samsung with the VA panels cause of their contrast over IPS panels , although my short time with the 55 LG C9 OLED the tv has alot of great features , contrast is great actually this OLED holds up well in a bright room ,viewing angles great , I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment which is perfect , I have been aware of burn in problems had a Panasonic st60 plasma 50 inch so i dont leave static images on long time and do a pixel refresher once a day run my picture on Cinema home for a more natural look also this tv is really good for gaming, been gaming since the Atari 2600 days , I, am in my 50s still enjoy it to this day .For me myself this television has all the bells and whistles I can want . good motion processing fast input lag hdmi 2.1 ready and great picture beautiful contrast and great color saturation for Dolby Vision and High Dynamic Range.

TV is of exceptional quality. Truly for the high end user who is extremely particular about their picture quality. Colors are beautifully saturated, but not overly. Blacks look gorgeous, whites shine with the right kind of brightness. This tv is incredible. Highly recommend for anyone. WebOS is easy to navigate and with LG’s recent update to integrate with HomeKit asking Siri to “turn in the tv” is easier then ever!

This TV is replacing my 65” Samsung Plasma F8500. So for anybody that knows, that’s a tough TV to follow. I hadn’t purchased a new 4K tv over the years, because the Samsung was so good, better than most 4K TV’s, playing 4K content. This LG OLED TV excels at everything and has some of the best 4K picture quality I’ve seen. The blacks are black, not milky. Even the audio from the TV sounds good. We stream a lot of HDR 4K stuff from Apple Movies and play PS4/Switch. It can handle whatever you throw at it.

OLED TVs no doubt achieve the best contrast with absolute blacks. This TV delivers that in magnificent detail. It doesn't achieve the peak brightness that full array LEDs can, so it's not as great in bright rooms. This TV resides in my master bedroom which is generally only watched at night, so it looks much better than my >$5000 Sony 900F... Only real downside is the magic remote where you have to use a pointer - but that's where the Logitech Harmony comes in and solves the issue.

I upgraded to this TV from a TCL 4k and it is head and shoulders above that set as far as the picture quality. Lots and lots of cool features and it is aesthetically just beautiful! It is literally thinner than my iPhone. The one thing that really irks me about this set (LG I hope you are listening) is that you are limited to apps that are available through the LG content store.... HBO GO? NOPE! CBS all access? NOPE etc etc, you get the picture. How is it that my $600 TCL ROKU TV could download just about any app I could think of but this $2000 OLED can't? COME ON LG!!!! Before you buy this if you are an app monger like myself check the app list @ https://us.lgappstv.com/main/tvapp

This TV is absolutely incredible! I searched far and wide for a future proof gaming TV. After about 3 weeks of research (and a couple returns,) I landed on the 55" LG C9. I am big into console gaming, and wanted something that was not only great for now, but future proof as well for the Xbox Series X and PS5. At first, I went with a high end gaming monitor. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't for me. A little dark and grainy for my liking. I returned that for a low end 4k TV. It also wasn't bad, but I wasn't satisfied. After reading for about 3 weeks that the best TV for gaming was the LG C9, I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did. The screen quality is absolutely unbelievable, the best I've ever seen on a TV. I've done a lot of streaming through apps like Netflix, some light cable TV viewing, and a lot of gaming so far. It has been perfect for all. HDMI 2.1 connectivity will ensure 4k @ 120 Hz for the next gen systems, which will be fantastic. I was worried about possible burn in, but after a month of pretty heavy use, I have zero concerns. If I have a period of long usage, I'll just set the pixel refresh program to run at the end of my viewing session. This runs for about an hour once the TV is off. I suggest getting the extended warranty from Best Buy for extra peace of mind. The only drawback is that the TV is possibly a little too big for some for gaming. I sit back about 7 feet from the screen and I have no problems, but some aren't allowed this luxury. I'd probably go with the 48" LG CX if space is a possible issue. Other than that, I couldn't reccomend this TV any more. Even the sound quality is top notch!

Got this expensive tv after much debate. Looked at reviews and rtings site. The color and blacks on this are amazing. I love playing ps5 games and scary games on it. Have not had a single issue and burn in has not been a issue at all. I have it linked to my surround so and they both power on at the same time. The remote is neat but can be annoying with how sensitive it is to turn on.

The picture is so clear and no matter what the lighting is in our room the color and detail is makes it so worth the purchase. It was replacing a LG bought about five years ago and is being used in another room and was a excellent television but it is amazing how much better this new one is . Love it.

This is an expensive TV. It also has a superb picture, is very versatile in terms of inputs and controls and auto updating of apps. The remote works very well. Its easy to find things on my streaming services. Its integrated with the internet so I can easily watch my church service on YouTube. Its super thin. While I own a sound bar, I really don't have to use it because the built in sound is good enough.

LG OLED TV’s are Simply the Best Out There

This is my third and newest LG OLED. 4K content on these TVs is leaps and bounds better than their competitors (Sony and Samsung). I used to be Sony “only” when it came to TVs, but not anymore. The black levels on these TVs are the best out there. The panel itself is super thin and light making it a snap to hang. Only negative is the remote IMO, but I don’t use it so it really doesn’t matter. Buy this TV.

My primary use is gaming (Xbox One X). We also watched a decent amount of movies, currently just watched the first 6 star wars in 4k/Dolby Vision. Such an amazing picture with very little tweaks! Gaming on this set is fantastic. Extremely low input lag, great color reproduction, and it supports all of the latest tech. Note to anyone playing Modern Warfare on an OLED - Turn off Dynamic Tone Mapping and recalibrate in game, what a difference! At first I almost returned the set. I had extreme eye fatigue and couldn't get past the motion. (with all things disabled). Its such a fast/instant set things don't look the "Same" as an LCD. You see things you cant see on an LCD due to the difference in technology. At the 1 week mark I was all but decided that I was going to return it. A few people online and my wife convinced me to give it antoher week, and I did. I put some serious time on the set - not playing with settings or critiquing but just using as normal. By the end of the second week my fatigue was gone and I was in love. Just yesterday I played about 4 hours of MW and watched Rogue One and had zero issues!

As far as the biggest hype qualities, the “true black” is legitimate. However, it is based on what channel it is. The biggest problem it has is actually the grayish-tan such as an elephant. It is a little difficult to mount in a wall mount because of the thinness of the screen. The stand feature does help the sound. Black and white films can be a little weird to watch, but I think the set enhances them. They don’t look quite as grainy. Any movie that has computer generated animation scenes look even more so with this set, but all these opinions are when the set is in the vivid mode. Overall a good set, and the picture quality variations are good...from vivid to standard. Some movies look better in standard than vivid.

Bought LG 55C9 OLED in October 2019. Beautiful, bright picture. Deep blacks and vibrant colors. Demonstrably superior to our older Panasonic and Samsung flat screens. Using tv with bose solo 5 sound bar. Set up is a bit complicated. Used instructions posted by LG on YouTube to set control of Uverse set box and sound bar. LG has hit one out of the stadium with this tv; really happy with the purchase.

I went to Best Buy with a different TV selection. After discussing the various brands and their performance we selected this LG OLED 4K TV. The picture quality is incredible, resolution and color. Operation is very easy once the Geek Squad installed and set up the unit with my equipment. Overall we are very happy with this TV and the service from Best Buy sales and Geek Squad personnel.

Probably the best TV I’ve seen or used. This TV is future proof with great features. The picture is flawless with perfect colors and blacks. Responsiveness is great for video games, and this TV works well with other devices such as the sound bar and Apple products. To this point burn-in has not been an issue.

This is the second LG Oled I have purchased. I was so wowed by the picture in my TV room I needed to get one for my bedroom. No other tv format compares to Oled in a dark room. Go to Best buy check out the Magnolia room and see for yourself. The picture simply can not be beat. Very user friendly and some outstanding features. Spend the extra money and get the best. Well worth it

This smart TV takes watching TV to a whole new level. The remote is so interactive with the TV, but shockingly incredibly easy to operate. I can't go back to another TV. I have had several, but this one is just WOW. The pic is great too (I know they wanna hear about that), but accessing channels, NETFLIX, AMAZON, etc. is just way too easy on this.
