This a one of the best tv I’ve owned. I’m coming from a Panasonic Plasma 50 inch. I loved the plasma; it was the best picture I had seen so far, but it was too small for my new place. This oled is a great upgrade from and superior to the plasma in terms of the interface, specs and resolution, but the plasma looked great with any source (SD, HD or 4K). This Oled looks stunning is superior to plasma with higher resolution contents, but SD content doesn’t always look as appealing as it did on the plasma. I suspected it because very high resolution of the TV display makes it obvious you are watching a lower resolution or quality source. This C8 is otherwise is the best TV owned so far.

Amazing picture, great black levels, awesome respond time. I will say the interface or menu bar needs help and needs to be easier to use. I don’t really care for the remote either, the mouse like feature is very annoying. But you definitely get what you pay for. A great picture that is second to none and beautiful and accurate colors

TV is really thin; and has the ability to use miracast (which allows me to connect my laptop and other devices without cables) - I don't think miracast works with IOS TV has excellent picture, but does give off an unusual amount of heat, it does have a simulated surround sound, but I strongly recommend a separate receiver or sound bar my one regret, is I should've gotten a slightly larger TV, but this works for a living room or a smaller great room; not quite man cave ready For those of you with a Geiger counter (I use one for work), this TV does cause some problems when I need to use that

Movies genuinely look better on my TV than in the theater. TV and games look amazing. The default sound is pretty great. And it's very easy to connect to my computer to use as a 4k big screen.

Excellent detail and color. The picture is very lifelike. Details are better in standard definition programming and with high definition programming. Even better with blue ray dvd movie.

I set the TV myself. The stand part you have to put on yourself. Was a challenge to put the stand together before you even can install on tv. Why? I used our kitchen table instead of trying to do this on the floor as diagram shows. Also the screen is glass and thin. You need to use the styrofoam to hold tv up from floor to install tv stand. Also need the styrofoam to hold the tv upward so you do not crack the screen. Good luck. We had a Samsung before this but wanted to try something different. Will go back to Samsung on next purchase. I’m also disappointed that I cannot use tv as computer monitor. We did this with the Samsung. But otherwise we like it so far.

Picture...Stunning Features...very good. Sound...better plan on a sound bar or system . What good is super high def if it sounds like a tin can. Still having trouble hooking up the web os for Alexa to work with it but that could be me. The remote gets a little hinky from time to time and the LG soundbar has issues with the HDMI connection so I have to jump it over to bluetooth and its good but sometimes there is a 1/2 second delay that you catch. Refresh rate is excellent and not so fast that you break through the fourth wall and it looks like a play happening in your living room. Still has that nice veneer of separation. This is a great TV. It will be an awesome TV next year when its 1/2 the price. ha

My wife and I were looking for an SUHD 55" TV for our bedroom. But when we saw this LG OLED sitting next to it we decided to spend the extra money to upgrade our LG Plasma TV in our living room, and we are so happy that we did. The bought the OLED65C8PUA and it is truly amazing. The picture is so clear and the colors are so vivid, even regular TV programs are more fun to watch. The internal speakers are great and I would be satisfied with them if I didn't already have a Bose soundbar to listen through. This was money well spent.

Initially I was super happy with the picture quality and ease of use. The pixel quality is superb. 4k is spectacular. But I ended up getting a lemon. I had buffering issues with 4k even though I was hardwired to my LAN. I ended up returning it after going through trouble shooting and resetting the unit. Too bad.

This tv is outstanding. The colors are brilliant and the blacks are truly black and you can view the tv from multiple angles. Great TV!

It doesn't get any better than this. Beautiful picture, even does a great job displaying non 4k content. OLED is definitely worth the extra money, and the LG is head of the class.

Best TV value out there for the price. It's pretty much the same OLED as the Sony, but the LG costs less. The C8 is the same as the E8. The E8 just has better speakers. That's not a big deal to me because we're getting a soundbar to improve the audio. I'd rather save money on the TV and spend a little more on the accessories and audio to round out my entertainment system. The biggest issue is it's tough getting it out of the box. You're better off peeling away the box and taking away as much packaging as you can rather than trying to pick up the TV out of the box--especially if you're trying to do this solo.

Had this, went to the Samsung Q8 for reasons, but went back to C8 overall. Prefer the darks and my TV is in a dark room. Picture is amazing for Xbox One X and movies.

I finally made the step to great clarity and colors in a really good monitor (television). I can see the colors, the detail in the wildlife programs that I love to watch.

Great TV. The wand remote is useful and a nuisance at times. Viewing angle one of the best I've ever seen. Sometimes pixels will take a moment to fade out from a scene left on for too long but quickly corrects itself. Work's great with the SK9Y sound bar, easily connecting via bluetooth. Occasionally I have noticed some lag in voices via the soundbar, but turning it off and back on has solved the problem. Overall, if you have the money for it, I would recommend this TV for any home.

Really loving this TV. The picture is amazing and the smart system is fluid and so easy to use. The inky blacks are really what makes this TV shine. I love it.

LG - 65" Class - OLED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with HDR (OLED65C8PUA) Setup/Testing/Conclusion The LG C8 in my opinion is an excellent 4k OLED TV with superb picture quality. Because the C8 is an OLED panel, it has an infinite contrast ratio since each individual pixel can be turned off (this is how OLED works). Due to the LG C8 being an OLED TV, you won’t experience any visible flickers (unlike some other company’s technology). The technology of the LG C8 allows it to create perfect blacks, which is great if you have your LG C8 in a dark room. If you’re one of those folks that enjoy the genre of either Sci-Fi or Horror, the C8 is a perfect addition/upgrade to your home entertainment setup. The picture also remains on point when viewed at an angle, this means that even if you have guests over and they are at a wide viewing angle; they won’t have an issue seeing the TV (even if you have the C8 in a large and bright room). The C8 performs great with HDR content, it creates really bright and saturated highlights. I went ahead and tested the LG C8 with my gaming PC and it handled input lag and motion handling without any issues. This is also due to the fact that the native refresh rate of the C8 is 120Hz (at 1080p) and 60Hz (at 4k). As mentioned, the C8 handles motion extremely well; which means it is great for watching sports or playing games. Because of the instantaneous response time, you won’t experience any ghosting or trailing during any fast motion. The engineers at LG did an excellent job with the design of the C8. Although the base is wide, it’s extremely sturdy and it’s well constructed. The base was designed and constructed in the shape that it is so that it can help direct the built in sound to the whole room. But because of this particular construction, you’re not able to place a soundbar directly in front of the C8. The C8 has better sound quality than other built in sound systems I’ve heard. Although it’s “better sound”, I would still recommend a dedicated sound bar for the stronger “oomph”. The base and frame around the screen is made of aluminum. The bezel of the C8 is very thin and it looks great. As far as the controls of the C8, they are located on the back to the side; similar to the previous model C7. The C8’s top half of the screen is ridiculously thin if you were to compare it to the previous model C7. When mounting the C8 to a wall, be mindful that the 4 HDMI inputs on the side may be difficult to access due to the composite input being rear facing. As mentioned previously with wall mounting, please be very careful as the top portion of the C8 is extremely thin. When it comes to LG webOS (LG’s smart platform), it has a good selection of pre-installed apps. If you’re adventurous, I think you’ll find a decent collection of apps in LG’s content store. The C8’s remote is compact and works exceptionally well and fast. I went ahead and tested the voice control feature and they also work exceptionally well on the C8. In conclusion, I was literally blown away with my LG C8. Because of the excellent picture quality, perfect blacks, dark room friendly, great wide viewing angle; the LG C8 is definitely a TV you should check out and splurge on. I mean look, you’re getting infinite contrast ratio, a wide and complete scope of colors, low response time, Dolby Atmos Support, and LG’s ThinQ AI. If that hasn’t sold you, I don’t know what else would. The LG C8 is definitely worth it and I would highly recommend it to friends and family.
