I took months reviewing dryers, looked at consumer's reports, cnet, other reviewer's comments. So I decided to go with BestBuy because they offered the best deal on pairs ( Washer/dryer)- such as free delivery/installation/haul away/ adjustment of the door opening. When shopping in-store at best buy, I wondered about how wide the door could open on the dryer. It turns out that the dryer door can be installed to open two ways! This dryer is preset as well as programmable. oh! and it drys fast too! Oh yeah, it looks nice too! I love my dryer!

After owning my last Kenmore washer and dryer set for many years, I decided to purchase a new set. I looked at all of the brands and many, many reviews. I have other LG products and have been very happy with them. I wasn't sure if I would have the same luck with these products. I love everything about them! They are visually attractive machines, the options/instrument panel is easy to read with all the options I could ask for and our clothes come out clean and dry. Very happy with my purchases and I'm sure I'll have these for years to come.

Accommodates a King comforter. BEST FEATURE is that the door opens not only L to R or R to L, but also it can pull down to a 45°angle so clothes won't fall on floor whwn moving them from washer to dryer.

Love my dryer! I have owned many dryers over my life. I have learned that all the Bella & whistles just mean more things to go wrong. That being said the only thing I didn’t have that I thought I might like was steam dry. I decided my old method of putting a wet hand towel has always worked so it wasn’t that important to me. I love the clear glass door and the drum light. You can turn it on or off. Also a cool feature which I just found in error you can open the dryer on side of down center. I use the main setting and have been happy with the time. I am happy with the look of my set as well. I had previously wanted front loaders but am quite happy I chose these

After 6 months of searching for a matching washer and gas dryer I found in my opinion the best offered. After I figured out how to leave the inside light off, ive had no issues at all. My gas bill is great. I'm on the budget plan, but for the last 5 months i have not received a gas bill, because of credits to my account that directly come from this model.

I love the fact you can see the laundry itself it also lite up. You can adjust volume on the sound once laundry is done. Doors are adjustable three ways (from the top or from the L or R). There is indicator for changing the filter which helps keeping the unit clean.

Good LG washer. It replaces our old GE washer. Purchased it last month. So far so good. Like that it uses less water then my old GE washer. There are multiple wash cycle options available. Easy to use. Takes less time to wash.

Had a problem when delivered the 1st unit with the door. It was corrected and Dryer has been going strong since then. Also the in home installation had problem with vent hose not secured on correctly. Exhaust was going into the Laundry room. After resecuring the hose, everything worked fine.

I’m very happy with my new LG Smart Gas Dryer. All of the different cycles for drying keep my clothes looking like new! Yes, I would recommend to friends and family.

I was a bit wary after reading a review by someone claiming not to be able to get dry clothes no matter what setting they used, but I focused on all the glowing reviews instead. I'm glad I did because this machine has performed extremely well over the few weeks I've had it. Of course, considering that it replaced one that was 21 years old, there was a brief learning curve getting used to the latest technology. I truly don't need many of the numerous settings, but I've learned that for our basic everyday needs of mixed weight items I use the 'heavy duty' setting and then adjust the degree of dryness, since that gives me the most flexibility. The 2-way door option comes in very handy to allow me to choose what works best each time. I also discovered that the Power and Start 'buttons' aren't really buttons per se, and actual pressure isn't required to activate them. The lightest contact from your finger triggers them, so they're more like sensors than buttons in that regard. The dryer is extremely quiet and there are times that I've gone back to it, thinking I'd neglected to turn it on. We had company for Thanksgiving and even guests remarked about the lack of noise from it. Interior capacity is huge and so far I'm liking the aluminum coated walls. The only thing that I'd prefer is for the light to stay on while the door is open, rather than shutting off after a minute or so. I understand that the intention is to conserve energy, but I like to fold our loads directly out of the dryer rather than just moving everything into a basket until later. With our laundry room positioned along a dark corridor, and having overhead lighting above the machines only, I end up having to turn the machine back on just so I can see what might be left hiding in there. Having it stay on while open as an option would be nice. I would purchase this brand and model again without hesitation.

I really wanted a simple washer & dryer but at the last moment got the mega LG washer so needed a matching dryer big enough for the XL loads. This is it. It has nine cycles & I haven't used them all but the clothes aren't overdried & stiff. I open the door both ways as a pull down door or I open it to the right. It's quiet & the good reviews were spot on. I'm hoping this dryer will be around for many years. It looks great too.

After many years of looking for a dryer with the right features I finally found one that would fit in my tiny laundry room and has the ability to open the door in two directions. As far as capacity it as plenty - and I have a king quilt for my bed I have dried in it. It is reasonably quiet and it dries things fairly quickly. I would definitely purchase it again.

Compared to my previous 21 one year old dryer, this is way more efficient. When I provide the numbers, everyone will see the difference. Got this as a package with LG 4.8 Cu.Ft agitator washer. It is smaller than my precious dryer which was 7.4 cu ft. But it does not make much difference. All electronic settings are easy to use. It has all the settings, I want and what I use in different scenarios. All touch controls. Nothing to press. So, goes with modern technology. I had similar issues in registering with ThinQ, when added manually. Finally I figured where the QR code was (it is inside on the left had top when the front door is opened) and it got successfully added in few seconds. So, don't try any manual means. It is just a waste of time. Efficiency wise it seems to be very good. My previous gas dryer took 160 minutes for half of the total cloths (both color and whites) and as I separate big cloths from small ones, another 80 minutes for larger ones. So, my total drying time was close to around 240 minutes. Even with the new ones, I do separate it out, but now, instead of 160 it takes 56 minutes to completely dry and instead of 80 minutes, it will be 30 minutes for big cloths. As it is sensor dry, some times it may take a little bit more, like 5-8 minutes, but still the comparison is like 240 minutes to 86 minutes. That is the savings we are talking about. My daughter was thrilled to use the dryer, as it can open two ways. Earlier dryer when opened to check for dryness, lot of cloths used to fall off. So, no more of the nuisance. If you do not have cloths with zippers, I think the sound level is around 60-65 DB, comparable to the accompanying washer. Again 4 start for the quality, as top is very fragile compared to my previous GE, which was built like a tank. Well it is the norm in today's world to make it cost efficient. Will provide another update in 6 months to one year.
