Great machine and great service. This dryer has digital options to customize drying which are helpful. The install team did a great job in a tight space.

So far not a good experience. Unit kept shutting off after 4 minutes when using heavy duty mode…..Could not dry my comforter… took 4,tries and finally used normal mode twice and it was dry. Lint coming out of the unit from somewhere and it’s all over my laundry room. Returned unit and got replacement but it was not hooked up properly….. the vent was not attached to the unit securely and fell right off. Now there’s lint and moisture all over my basement. Very frustrating. I thought I would not have any problem with this brand and unit because of the high rating. Now have to wait 5 days before a technician can come to try and fix the issue.

Hi, BibiB. Thank you for taking the time to share what’s been happening with your LG Dryer (DLEX5800V) model. We understand the importance of having a dryer that runs reliably. If a dryer turns off prematurely or has trouble drying large items, check the exhaust vent for airflow. A small gap, kink, or loose connection can cause overheating and shut down for safety, as well as allow lint to escape. Securing the vent and ensuring the duct is straight and clear can significantly improve performance. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-DLEX5800V.ASSEEUS. We’d be glad to take a closer look into your case and document everything you’ve experienced so our team can support you further. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. We're here to help. ^Juvy

So far, haven't been able to figure out the options. Takes longer to dry than my old one.

Hi, Verena. Thank you for reaching out about your LG Dryer (DLEX5800V) model. We understand the importance of having a new dryer operate smoothly from the moment it’s installed. One helpful step is to check that the dryer is fully seated in the outlet and receiving the correct voltage. Electric dryers require a 240V connection, and if one of the two legs of power isn’t supplying voltage, the unit may turn on but won’t run properly. Ensuring the circuit breaker is fully switched on for both poles can also help. We’d be glad to take a closer look and assist you with getting your dryer up and running. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com so we can help further. ^Juvy
