I don’t care for the cords from the unit. In this day and age, I found it rather disappointing. Cannot recommend. I wish I had known it had wires. If you don’t mind the multiple cords, go for it.

I would recommend buying some smaller gauge speaker wire to eliminate interference and them from going in and out a lot. Compliments my soundsbar well

LG doesn’t stay current regarding compatibility info for their soundbars and rear speakers. What’s published is also doubtful. Best info is to read reviews on Amazon and here

I have this set paired with the LG SN8YG soundbar and it is an amazing difference in sound quality. You get a true surround sound experience with this rear speaker set. The set includes the wireless satellite receiver the two rear speakers and two pieces of speaker wire. Set up was very easy, I hooked up the speaker wires first before I plugged in to electric outlet. Once it was plugged in it automatically connected to the soundbar and you could hear the difference right away. There is an app you can use to set different settings. I haven't had a lot of time to go through everything on the app yet. I've read other reviews where they are having trouble with a dropped connection. I haven't had any issues with the wireless connection at this time. I'm very happy with this surround sound system.

After recently getting an LG soundbar that is compatible with these surround speakers, I started looking around. After searching everywhere I could, Best Buy had these as an Open Box- Satisfactory condition. The price fluctuated over several days and then was listed at $60. I jumped on it as it was available at the local store and the only one. I decided that the condition wasn't too important as long as it worked. To my surprise, it was packaged like it was new with everything included, and the items looked like new! I don't know if it was a mistake but so far, I was very pleased. I booked everything up tonight and after consulting the manual, I had to adjust one of the wires. I ran Spotify through the soundbar and it sounded fantastic! It even makes my classic TV shows sound better. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X really blew me away. I replaced a Sony HT-G700 with this system and I'm very pleased. The Sony had terrific sound but the various formats are all virtualized. Atmos and DTS:X just didn't have any height to speak of. The LG setup has really surprised me and getting the price and condition of these surround speakers have it the immersion I've been wanting.

This Wireless LG speaker system is a great add on to LG’s Sound-bar system. It adds loud and clear surround sound ability completing the LG system into 5.1 sound. The speakers connect to the Bluetooth power box that plugs into a regular outlet for power that sends Bluetooth connectivity to the sound-bar across the room. Everything was easy to connect and sounds great!

I have added these rear speakers to my LG SP9YA sound bar and it truly completes the surround sound experience when watching movies say from Netflix or a dedicated Blu Ray player, it’s a must! Your bar alone won’t be able to give you that sound coming from the back, or sides despite your room configuration. Set up was really easy and the quality and clarity of sound is clean at low/high levels, no distortion or sound cut off with a distance of 12ft from the bar. I’m happy with the integration of the SPK8-S though I wish there was an upgraded version with upfiring speakers for Atmos since the SPK8-S has been around since 2018, and the soundbar is from 2021. Also I have seen some reviews regarding sound cut off and distance issues, so there was one thing that I changed from the contents included in packaged and that was the cables that came with the speakers, they are extremely thin and instructions do not mention if this are CCA or OFC cables, so I replaced them with some OFC 16AWG cables that I had about 30ft each, and I have no issues so far, I even have the transmitter/amplifier sitting right on top of the soundbar subwoofer at the back of the room, everything is working great!

I bought these rear channel speakers to go with my LG 3.1 channel sound bar. They connected right up when I powered them up, so easy to setup and they work great. I like the fact they just worked, no issue! That is worth a lot these days. They sound just fine and they are wireless so I can set them any where in the back of the room. They were also on sale at Best Buy.

Must have add-on to your LG soundbars to access the full Dolby Atmos experience. Paired perfectly to the new LG Sp8ya soundbar! I recently upgraded to the LG SP8YA which is a fantastic entry level atmos system but I was desperately missed my classic samsung 5.1 because of the back speakers. This fixes any problems of not hearing the defining audio behind you, and lets you really enjoy the content that is recorded in dolby atmos. I use both the new roku ultra or xbox series x to access dolby atmos content on disney plus, hbo max, netflix, etc I highly suggest anyone to get the roku ultra as I find it has the most dolby atmos content for screaming. Gaming with Dolby Atmos games is incredible, to me its as big a deal jumping from 5.1 to 7.2.1 as it was jumping 1080p to 4k. Hearing sound from every angle is incredible and makes immersion just as deep as a great pair of headphones. This pair of speakers pairs extremely easily, sp easily I forgot how... I think you just enabled a setting on the lg soundbar app and it automatically syncs. It took less than 5 minutes and was very easy to hook up.

I bought these LG Powered Wireless Rear Channel Speakers to go with my LG 5.1 soundbar and I love them both together. I have a large open room where it would have been extremely difficult to run wires from the soundbar to the rear surround speakers, so this setup is perfect. I have the rear surround speakers on stands behind my couch and the whole system sounds amazing. The only thing I would make sure potential customers understand is that the wireless audio receiver needs access to an outlet so you can plug it in. I have a power outlet behind my couch so that wasn't a problem for me. Also, there are physical wires running from the wireless audio receiver to the rear channel speakers. I have my speakers on speaker stands and the wires run inside the stands and along the floor behind the couch so it worked fine for me but I'm sure there are other configurations where that might not work. I'm really happy I bought these to go with my new LG OLED tv.

Added these to my LG SN8YG Sound Bar which is a 3.1.2 system. These rear speakers have elevated my Sound Bar experience to a 5.1.2 sound system. LG recommends changing the audio setting from Original Sound to Surround Sound, but I've found that doing so adds a weird echo effect. If you leave the system as Original Sound, then the rear speakers (these) will only produce sound if the source has 5.1 Dolby/DTS or DTS:X/Dolby Atmos. Just be aware that people saying these aren't wireless have no idea what is meant by wireless rear speakers. Wireless rear speakers have been designed like these speakers for over a decade now with the rear speakers needing to be wired to a receiver box that pulls the audio signal from the Sound Bar. Some brands have the rear speakers hook up to their subwoofers, while others use a separate receiver box. LG provides a decent amount of speaker wire that is small and transparent, so if you're setting these up in a small to a medium room you'll be blown away by the sound and can hide the wire easily.

These speakers are just as advertised. They functioned just as expected. I've actually had more trouble with the signal between the head unit and the subwoofer. I've owned them for almost a year (Thanks kids!), and I've only had to reset them once. Setup was relatively simple (with our LG SL6Y), but be sure that you have an outlet nearby where you'll be placing the receiver. And, since the speakers connect to the receiver with wires, you'll want to have a plan for where you'll hang or place them. The only thing I would change in this system is more related to buying a system with more channels to allow for more separation of the sound. That said, the first few suspenseful or action shows we watched caused a few extra jumps because with sound behind us, it seemed as though someone was walking around in our house.

Sound quality is great. Bass is deep, given the subwoofer size, while highs and mids are crisp. I like the fact that my LG TV immediately recognized and output sound to these speakers with no input from me. This system, and the sound at, both power on via the TV remote when I turn on the TV. I haven’t figured out how to change the front/rear balance, and it seems as though the sound will cut out of the subwoofer from time to time, but I think it’s actually the way that the sound was recorded for the show (Bosch).
