I have this TV for a year and it still blows my mind. Greatest TV I have ever seen! Software is smooth and user friendly and the image is amazing. You will need a good 7.1 sound system and you are all set! Plenty of brightness for indoor use especially at night. No issue there.

I bought a 65” Panasonic plasma tv 15 years ago and have enjoyed it completely. I have been waiting the last few years for an upgrade. I read the reviews about LED vs OLED vs QLED and this model checked all the boxes. So I went to Best Buy to see what all the fuss was about. The LG 83” OLED knocked my socks off. I had no idea such a sharp intense display existed. The old Panasonic has been downgraded to the sun porch. I now even watch certain commercials just because of the depth of color. I highly recommend this tv.

Loved the picture, clarity, color and ease of use.

No lie, this TV, when working well, is truley amazing. As it should be at its price. However, as soon as the LG warranty is over (one year), start expecting issues. Mine started to show horizontal black lines around 14 months after purchase. Tried various methods of troubleshooting without success. Call LG customer support. They were actually very responsive. And reviewing pictures of the issues i was having, they gave me the numbers for some repair businesses to use. Lomg story short, the recommendation is a panel replacement, which is about half the cost of the TV new. If you look this horizontal black lines issue up, ypu can easily see that this is VERY common problem for the LG OLED tvs. Especially right around the 1 year mark from purchase. This was the first LG tv I've ever owned. Had 4 Samsung tvs before, including a plasma i bought in 2008 thats still going strong. The LG is the best looking one of the bunch, prior to the problems. But i NEVER had any issues like this with my Samsung TVs. They appear to be much more reliable. I will not buy anymore LG products.

So my husband bought this tv I wasn’t to happy about the steep price tag but definitely worth it Huge tv with great picture quality A awesome smart tv Th remote is kind of a pain in the butt As it works kind of like a mouse pad But definitely worth the investment if your looking for a great quality high def tv

The TV picture quality is fantastic and the sound goes through my Onkyo sound system quite well. We've watched movies, sports, and played PS4 through this system and very impressed! There are a few complaints around the "smart" features. First, it does not yet support ESPN built-in so you will need another device to stream that. Second, the apps tend to freeze and restart (maybe due to background updates). Third, the interface is a pain in the butt and not very intuitive.

This TV is truly stunning. Granted, it’s our first 4K and we waited for a while to upgrade from 1080 lol but I knew OLED was THE way to go and it is just beautiful. It is clear why the LG C1 was the top rated TV nearly everywhere for the past year. And 83 inches is so huge. We got it mounted so we can turn it any direction we need and bring it out a few feet away from the wall and ALL of that was unnecessary because this TV is so beautiful from any angle. That’s the OLED, but regardless, it is incredible. I am considering buying more of them for other rooms that I don’t even normally believe should have televisions. Now I just want them in every room. ABSOLUTELY get the new flagship LG S95QR sound system with it. Everyone talks about Sonos but the S95QR is incredible with this TV. Truly feel like I’m in an imax theater, but at home.

I am writing this review on our 83” LG OLED to let all know that the quality of this TV is “second to none!” The black color is vivid which make all other colors seem to just want to jump out of the screen while looking at any movie. Our last TV used to broadcast movies in 1080, this TV comes at you with 4K! The one feature we love is the Art Feature. You can display works of art as a screen saver. Excellent for parties or get togethers. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed!

Wall mount installation. Have viewed for about a month. Great picture after tweaks for location and personal preferences. No issue with brightness. Using sound bar so cannot comment. Have not had much time to play with settings or calibrate but plenty of options.

Great TV. I wish everyone could afford it. Best TV I have owned in my life. You will love the color it produces. Very nice picture quality. I love to relax and watch the movies on this TV even DVDs we have are better.

Outstanding picture quality detail. The best inky blacks I’ve ever seen on a TV. I would definitely recommend buying this TV. Looks great in my family room. Now I have an awesome picture and great sound.

Absolutely beautiful television. The 2021 C series is the best bang for your buck in premium oleds. LG Universal remote kinda finicky and incomplete is my only complaint.

Exceptional picture quality and size make this LG a great choice as the center piece of a high end media room. Very easy set up and operation and the sound from the built in speakers is very good.

This TV is worth every penny!! The picture is amazing, the blacks in the picture are so deep! It’s vivid and bright, and sharp. Excellent purchase! LG is also very user friendly!

Great sound and picture. Looks great on the wall. Very easy to use the different APP's. Add the LG soundbar and it's like being at a movie or concert.

My LG OLED is absolutely amazing. The colors are beautiful & the black is very commanding! The crispness of the picture will give you great enjoyment.

Wow. Our last LG had a very good picture but this one is over the edge. When you’re watching a 4K the picture it is better than the movie theater. You know your happy with the product when your blown away each day. Basic cooking programs make you feel like your in the kitchen. The Buccaneers game was better than being there. It is really remarkable to see how this tv handles low light scenes - every detail is obvious.

I debated back and forth between this and the 77inch because of the price difference. Felt like 83in is a big upgrade over my current 55in oled, but thought I'd be underwhelmed with its size in person once it was in my living room. The complete opposite happened. It completely surpassed my expectations. Such an immersive size for sports, movies and video games. If you're in a living room setting sitting around 7-10 feet from this screen its a borderline movie theater experience. Won't need a new TV for probably 10 years.

The picture is really amazing. Sadly there is not a lot of 4k material but when you have it, wow. What is impressive is the sound that comes from the TV. It is not the same as a home system but surprisingly pretty good for a tv sound system. There is a lot of streaming options but a few you might have to dig for. If you just use the Alexa button on the remote it is great. I did find that getting Alexa to work hands free is challenging. (poor beginning to end instructions for interfacing with the LG app and Alexa)
