Customers commend the 86" Class Nano 9 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV for its exceptional picture quality and large screen that does not compromise on quality. They are also pleased with the vibrant colors, user-friendly operating system, and the convenience of controlling streaming devices with the TV's remote control. While some find the TV to be on the heavier side, the overall positive feedback highlights its value for the price.

Great picture, but ghosting on edges.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased this 86" LG LED SM9070 NANO CELL TV, so this is a real review. I'm impressed with the natural color and tac sharp picture this big screen offers when the scene is bright, or outdoors. Truly impressive. But when watching wide screen movies, and the scene is dark, like many of the scenes in the 4k Dolby Vision version of "Skyscraper" there is very noticable and annoying ghosting on edges of the four corners. Didn't the LG engineers notice this obvious flaw? Or did they not care? Moreover, I noticed that the Nano advantage is no advantage at all. From the side, the screen, along the bottom and top, turn ghosty white. Very disappointing and distracting. As for the ability of the Nano screen's ability to view from an angle, I didn't notice any improvement in picture at all. Indeed, my Sony 930e was far more effective. Indeed, I returned a Sony 930d for less ghosting than this. LG really needs to fix this issue, after all this TV lists for $4,300, no minor investment. Because I also own an LG 65" OLED, I am familiar with the remote, and once you know the screen settings, it's pretty easy to operate. LG must get this ghosting issue resolved for its 86" SM9070 TV. This is not an issue that can be tweaked out, it must be firmware fixed somehow, because this is, in all other respects, one heck of a TV, with a phenomenal picture. I really like what I see, but the ghosting on the edges is inexcusable. Lastly, the ghosting also shows up along the top and bottom black bars that run atop and below the widescreen picture. Because of this, I can't fully recommend this TV. LG has some workk to do.

The colors are amazing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This television is not only big and beautiful, but it also has colors like Ives never seen before. The user interface is easy for non-tech users, like myself. The way it was packaged made it a bit easier to put together and set up. Love it!

Adequate, as expected from LG
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The leg structure is extremely heavy-duty in order to support the weight of the unit. Although an adequate and appealing leg design, I prefer one more straight lined as opposed to curved but assume structural design and weight was a factor. Leg design was easy to assemble and appears to provide trustworthy support. The edges of the unit are plastic, I prefer the look and appeal of stainless metal as it appears more expensive and less “cheap”. The sound is perfectly adequate and as expected. The resolution is perfectly adeqUate and as expected. Proved impressive while watching 4K productions. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a Good TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tv is a good value Television the build quality is Great and the setup was easy. The picture quality is amazing, when viewing in a light or dark room colors are very crisp and vibrant. Although during dark scenes with subtitles or any other white lettering there is a lot of blooming. It is very visible so enthusiasts stay clear. (However my wife says she doesn't care about any of that and it should get 5 stars)

Good brights, blacks are the worse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned for 2 days, light colored scenes do great, but dark scenes with black struggles with very bad light bleeds, more than any tv I have ever seen. Some scenes, are so terrible it's hard to make out. I bought this because it has Earc, which improved my sound quality by alot. If it wasn't so heavy and large I'd return it but will need a 2nd person to help take off my wall. The tv would had been 5 stars if it wasn't for the bleeds.. I'm comparing this to the 3 Leds (2007) Toshiba, 2015 Samsung, 2014 hienese.

Best Purchase I Ever Made
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has changed how I view absolutely everything. It turns any simple experience into an event almost. I love this thing. When I was installing it I did need help from my father and brother. This thing is heavy. It's no joke. Also a reason I purchased this TV the sound it had. I originally thought it would compare to that of a good soundbar and although the TV itself has great sound comparing it to other TV speakers it still doesn't compare to a home theater. It is good. All in all it was a great purchase.

Amazing TV- Period
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a TV this size, Buy this without thinking : 1. Very good picture quality 2. Audio good, but most of us use Sound bars so not a question. 3. Very good connectivity. Like that it has built in Airplay. 4. Built in IPTV is amazing. No more subscription for me. 5. WebOS so far is pretty good, the speed is OK, although they can do better with interface. 6. Bluetooth on headset is a great functionality, but kind of finicky. Sometimes need a tv restart for it to work ( using with Beats Solo) 7. Depth profile is pretty good, use a low profile wall mount if required.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Family is happy for the picture and sound quality. Awesome Nano cell technology. The size matters and it is good fit for the living room. It’s does not appear small or big, just right size. Friends loved it. Also, the TV remote is user friendly as it got mouse pointer to select tabs on the screen and Alexa for quick search on the voice command and switching apps between the apps/ channels. This is great. Overall, this is feel good TV for the size and technology. This good TV is worth to be recommended.

Great buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, it is a big tv!! It’s a bit on the heavier side but it being 86 inches why wouldn’t it be. The quality is great and it interfaces well with the magic controller. When company comes to my house they are in awe over the size and quality. The image is great!!There is a lot of content on their LG store and can get a lot of free channels.

Wonderful video and great sound.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I moved from an LG 65" SUHD to this LG 86" Nanocell and as great as the prior TV was, this new one is an upgrade. It is a big, big picture. We are about 11 feet away and if we were much closer than that, it would be too big. The video/resolution is excellent. We stream our channels. Newer movies, TV shows, and recorded sports events are crystal clear and look fabulous. Colors and blacks are great. I think the blacks are far better on this one than the SUHD. I would expect 4K Blu-rays to look great and they do. I will say that older DVDs as the low resolution on a large screen is noticeable. What I have noticed is that if we stream the same "old" movie instead of watching it off of a DVD, it looks great when streamed. Talking to my great Best Buy consultant, Greg G., he said that streamed movie content usually has been cleaned up or enhanced for a better experience. The sound is very good through the TV thanks to the higher wattage output. I still play most movies through a surround system. We have our TV on the included stand versus a wall mount. The stand supports it without any wobble. Be sure to have a second or third pair of hands when unpacking, assembling, and lifting the TV into place. It is surprisingly heavy for its thin profile.

Great picture quality!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality on the big screen TV is comparable to the Samsung or Sony at a lower cost. So it’s a good value. We are not sure yet that we like the user interface. The large cursor is easy to see but awkward to maneuver. The remote doesn’t make it obvious how to turn it off. We’re still trying to figure it out. You won’t be able to without reading the user manual. In hindsight, we prefer the interface of the Samsung or Sony. Trade off for the lower price.

Can't go wrong with my LG 86" NanoCell!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally, I got it! I know this is going to be my next big toy after my 10 -year old Mitsubishi DLP 82" 3D unit started to kind of dying slowly since last January. It was still viewable though I no longer enjoying the picture quality. It was still a long run until last month it finally gave out its last gasp. I have researched this LG model since last year and I was fully convinced that I made the right decision, even before getting my hands on it. I am truly satisfied with this model and luckily got it from Best Buy at a lower price (after their price match guarantee), plus a $150.00 gift card to boot!

Incredible Flat Screen!!! Too little 4K content...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.one of the best pictures i've ever seen on any 65"+ flat panel. The thickness is unbelievable! Was also happy to see the upscaling of 1080p DVD's and other content actually works. However, 4K movies and shows are truly amazing. Currently there's really only one downside...I wish that there was more 4K compatible content available. Internet purchases rarely play in 4K (even if advertised as a 4K quality purchase).
