Works as advertised! Very compact so it takes up less space. Love it!

I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO UISE THIS PRODUCT YET. BUT IT IS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT AND ATTACHES TO THE LAPTOP WITH EASE. IT CAME WITH ONE DISK FOR FUTURE USE.

I purchased this drive since my newer laptop did not include one. I have mainly been using this drive to import music from my CD collection. This drive is very simple to use -- straight plug and play with no drivers/software to install. It is very quiet and works fast. I highly recommend this external drive.

I have been converting all of my DVD's to digital format - and since newer computers don't ship with a DVD+R - I decided on this. It's thin, lightweight, quiet, and works like a charm. It was plug-n-play on both my Mac and PC. Great drive.

I was very happy with the speed and performance of this external DVD drive. This drive was able to read disks that my old drive was not able to read, even with some bad scratches. It's very light and portable and works beyond my expectations. Thank you LG for making such an awesome product!

Although I was disappointed that my new computer didn't include a built-in cd-dvd player, this external drive is perfect! It couldn't be easier to use and the price was just right. Would recommend to anyone over a certain age with a huge CD/DVD collection that's old-fashioned like me!

My son was building a computer and we inadvertently ordered our version of Windows on CD. Once I realized this, I ran to Best Buy to grab this CD/DVD player. It worked great. I didn’t have to do anything to set it up, just plug and go. Small. Lightweight. Easy to use. My kind of a product.

I like that it works on my home and school systems without fail. It reads and records as needed and takes up very little space. Less than $20.00 us on sale? Insane value!i

I have 2 new computers that don't have a cd/dvd player. I needed to load some graphic programs that I have on dvd. This dvd unit not only was affordable, but was a simple pnp and in minutes I was loading these programs. I'm not sure if it was my imagination, but it seamed to load slower. For me that was ok. I'm really happy with the overall ease of install and performance and price. For you folks out there with computers without a cd/dvd device, I strongly recommend this unit from Best Buy.

I bought this on a whim for a quick fix as my other external drive was playing up. This external drive was an awesome fix, it transfers audio rapidly into my iTunes, very quiet and compact. I wished i had bought it sooner.

I purchased the external USB Drive after I had bought my new computer. The technology had changed since I had purchased my last computer and they do not come with CD drives. I purchased the external on the advice of the very knowledgeable staff at the Mentor Best Buy. They assured me that it would work and be easy to connect to my computer. It was very easy and has worked great on my music and Genealogical CDs . I enjoy just being able to plug the drive in and putting a CD in and having results right away. I have recommended this product to friends looking for external drives. I also recommend highly the staff at the Best Buy Mentor ,Ohio as they are great at asking what kinds of ways that you use the products.

This is one of those things you have to be over a certain age to find useful. As I came of age in the time when dinosaurs still walked the earth and CDs were starting to replace cassettes, I am very comfortable with CDs as my preferred platform to play music, and generally rip new CDs to computer and burn a copy for playing in the car so as not to damage the original. I know newer tech is more efficient, but CDs can't be canceled and your account deleted for your political or antisocial views. Anyway, as I had just purchased a new computer because of forced obsolescence due to no more support for Microsoft's terrible product, the new computer did not have a CD player, which is why I bought this product. I have not had any issues and it works as intended. If anything it feels a little on the fragile side, but other than that I have no complaints with it.

Super compact and easy to use. Bought this item so I could download one of my favorite software programs from a CD to a new Surface Pro that does not have any disc drive. Worked perfectly and took little time to set up. The USB connection worked like a charm and the price was reasonable and really too good to pass up.

I hate that computers these days don't come with a DVD drive, so it's good that I can just plug one in to usb without hassle. Very slim and easy to put away when not in use. Quiet and writes fast. Plays video smooth.

I needed an external DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive since new computers no longer them available on the newer computers. Us older folks still use them. I only used ONCE so far.

Works great so far. Have mainly used it with DVDs and it's also pretty quiet while it is running. Was able to plug it into my Mac's USB port and start using it very quickly. Also, I think it's a great value since I'm sure buying a CD/DVD Drive from Apple would have been much more expensive.
