Does its job, wow! It’s really slim, which is nice.

All I had to do was plug it in and it worked with my HP ENVY 2 in 1 Laptop. It is very convenient for trips and such to be able to watch a movie. I am very happy with my purchase.

We had an issue with our laptop DVD drive and it abruptly stopped working. We were thinking about going to a repair shop and getting it repaired. But then we found this portable drive on the website. Instead of getting the drive replaced, we opted for buying the portable DVD drive. It costs about 30 dollars. You install the driver and you are in business. We do a lot of DVD watching on our laptop and this works just fine so far. we play something on it every day. IF you dont mind having this thing outside of your laptop, then as a product it works great. We have not tried the DVD recording feature yet.

Slim and light, works great, no complaints about it

The LG-8X External USB double layer DVD + RW/CD-RW Drive-Black is ok, I don't like like usb cord it comes with, it is way too short, I have to buy a longer cord to mount it on my computer desk, it will not reach from the desk top tower to the top of my desk.

Costs a little more but worth it. Interacted well with 2 different computers. Ripped and copied CDs. Comes with software but i preferred using the CD/DVD software that i already had on one of my computers. I used the software with the second computer. The software has lots of extra functions which i have not used.

I got this drive for an older computer having problems with the internal drive. Windows recognized it and installed necessary drivers. It was immediately available for use. It works flawlessly.

My laptop didn’t come with an CD dive so I needed to get an external to install a software. This item worked perfect. Loved the fact that it’s lighweight and compact in case I need to take it with me.

After getting my new computer home I realized it did not come with a cd/dvd drive. I found this external drive at Best Buy and took it home. Not only does it work perfectly with my computer but the fact that I used my Best Buy Rewards towards the purchase, it only cost me under $10.00 for the purchase.

I bought this when I bought my HP spectre. It was 39.00 with the package. It does its job good. Then it came on sale at best buy and they matched the price to 19.00. Not bad for an external CD player.

Just what I needed. Easy to operate and a great value. It's small enough to fit in my attaché along with my notbook.

So glad to be able to view my DVDs and listen to my CDs again with my new laptop. Ease of use, excellent price.

Purchased because new computer did not come with CD drive. I use a lot to play audio cd for choir music. Works well and very pleased

After my HP DVX laptop stopped reading Dvds but would still read cds and Blu ray disc's I ordered this to make up for that not wanting to pay to upgrade to windows 10 due to the age of the laptop and I was amazed at how simple and quick it was to immediately begin to use it and how it worked so well. Awesome product and awesome buy for sure. You will not be disappointed in purchasing this. The only thing I can say I wish were different was the length of the cable it comes with. Makes it very easy to fall and get unplugged from source etc. Other than that grateful for this item.
