Easy to set up, good price and doesn't take up too much space.

I bought this because my TV is an LG, the price was right, my old DVD player died, and I saw the opportunity to replace my old Roku unit and have one less electronic device hooked up to the TV. It was easy to set up, picture is good, I like the user interface, and there are plenty of features. The only real complaint I have so far is that about once per week I have to unplug the unit to stop the Netflix streaming from pausing constantly. After it is unplugged for a few seconds, all is well. My old ROKU never had this issue in the year or two I had it, so I'm positive that this is a problem with the LG BP550. At this point I would recommend this to a friend with this single caveat.

My specific need was to find a player that could give me access to MLB-TV with a minimum amount of re-buffering. I found it! Netflix streams very well too. Blu-Ray Heaven!

Great little 3D Blue Ray DVD player. I like the fact it is small and compact and very reasonably priced. This is a good DVD player substitute for a Smart TV.

My boyfriend sent me to get a blueray player, and said to get an LG. there were 3 different ones, and the sales associate helped me pick out the best one. We are very pleased! Never had a blueray, and the picture is fantastic!

I bought this unit because I needed a smart DVD to access my netflix for my not so smart but beautiful 50 inch flat screen It works great love the video and easy hook up I don't have 3d yet but I'll be ready when I get one

Everything works great I seen a review about the remote not working very well. I ordered an open box item which did not come with a remote so I'm using my Dish remote along with a LG app on my phone to search in Amazon

I bought this blu-ray player for watching 3d movies. I also have netflex , but am having some difficulties with that feature. It's extremely slow and I have to restart player on a regular basis.

I was looking for only a CD player but this one has that plus a blu Ray disk player. And the price was even greater!

It was easy to set up and use giving me access to other programs such as NetFlix, Pandora, etc.... I was up and running in no time for a small amount of money.

I recently returned one I purchased on black friday that was not what I wanted, and found this one on my way out. Comes with Hulu+ netflix youtube and many more.

Works really well. The Internet interface is nice and easy to use as well with preloaded common apps.

Love the things I can stream. I don't have cable but this is better than cable.

What happened to controllers that were on the unit i.e. play,stop,fast forward. If you misplace the remote the unit is useless !

This player flawlessly plays discs of every kind, and upconverts DVDs which are not ultra HD or HD nicely. It also operates all network functions as expected: It connects quickly and consistently and performs as expected. I bought this BluRay Player to replace a Sony which had horrible function when connecting to network resources, and I am quite happy with it. The one significant flaw it has is that it has no RCA audio out so that I may stream audio to a non HDMI device.

Played my first 3D movie and was so excited at the crisp picture I was getting like setting in a move.
