Barely functions and a hassle to operate. Gets jammed easily and the turbo function malfunctions and won't turn off. Would not recommend. Especially at the expensive price point.

A vacuum cleaning solution; not just an appliance

I like the direction the vacuum cleaner industry has headed recently. The move to lighter, bagless, and cordless has been welcome. The LG CordZero serves as a new entry into the fray, and it’s definitely a bit of a different spin on the concept.
First thing you will notice about the CordZero is the size and weight of the box. It seems bigger and heavier than you would expect for a cordless wand vac. Open the box and you immediately see why. There is a tower-like stand that holds the vacuum, all accessories, charging station for additional battery, and a cannister cleaning system. There is minimal assembly required to set up the CordZero. There is an easy to attach base plate and a wall mounting loop to stabilize the unit. Personally, I don’t think the wall tie is necessary if the unit is on a solid floor (hardwood or tile), but on carpet, it can be a tad wobbly. With the base plate and the overall weight of the charging station, it is solid and sturdy. LG includes 2 batteries for the CordZero. This allows for extended usage. There is a slot in the top for charging the second battery – a very nice addition. Another important point to make is the CordZero charging station is very elegant and stylish, has a modern look. This is important because it looks good enough to practically store the vacuum cleaner in plain sight. I really like that about the unit.
Pull out the vacuum itself and it fits the standard bill with one exception: it has an extendable/retractable wand. I loved that feature out of the box, even before using it. Everything else is straightforward and simple. The CordZero does have Wi-Fi, but using the LG app only gives current status of the vacuum. The other thing that stood out for me was the lever that cleans the filter ring. It’s used when emptying the dust bin. I have other cordless wand vacs, and I must say, if they had this one feature, it would be more than welcome. Another point of note is the battery is very easy to remove and replace. The ease of this operation is like almost like a hot-swap option.
How does it perform? Admirably, but with a catch. The CordZero has 2 dual-purpose buttons on the handle with their primary function being power control. At the lowest power setting, the vacuum lasts for about 45-50 minutes, give or take. This may stretch out an additional 5 minutes or more once the batteries have been conditioned, but only time will tell. Most vacuum sessions in a home probably don’t last beyond that, at least not for me. The problem is that the lowest power setting is only suitable for my hard floor vacuuming. The suction and power is not suitable for my carpet. All of my common areas are hard flooring with a couple of area rugs in place, so this works. Bedrooms are a different story, requiring me to use the mid-level power option (turbo is the highest output setting). This cuts the time of use in half, and there are moments you feel the turbo option is necessary, significantly cutting into your time of operation. Because of this, the design of the CordZero and the inclusion of a second battery are both crucial and very thoughtful of LG. The design and approach of the charging station gives the vacuum a home, hence always charging it and your second battery. Add to that the ability of the charging station to automatically empty your cannister after usage, and it almost forces the consumer to put the vacuum in the station after use. One thing about the auto empty feature: it’s a bit on the noisy side, but it doesn’t take long to finish.
Overall, the LG CordZero is a great vacuum cleaning system. It offers features that are welcome to those who appreciate organization and space saving, quick and easy cleanup after vacuuming, and extended use when necessary. For the easy, day-to-day cleaning jobs, this type of device is sufficient in most cases, but the one area I think most consumers look for a little more is in longer run time and/or more powerful suction on the lower settings. Don’t get me wrong, it gets the job done, but a consumer with a carpet filled home will burn through both batteries cleaning their house. With all that said, I still highly recommend the CordZero. Kudos to LG for a well thought out and useful product. It really checks a lot of boxes and solves some issues we as consumers have just accepted in the past.

Average vacuum with an excellent docking station

I struggled with how to review this product because for me this is actually 2 products. The cordless vacuum and the well-designed docking station. Let’s start with the vacuum. I have a number of well-known cordless vacuums that range in price from $300 to $700 so I have a good point of reference when it comes to vacuum cleaners. The LG is an attractive vacuum that performs fairly well. It can be connected to their LG ThinQ app. I first attempted to connect to the app in the bedroom where I have the vacuum but found it was too far away from the router to connect so I moved it to my office and it quickly connected. The app can show you usage data as well as allow you to start the emptying function. The app will also alert you when the vacuum is fully charged when connected to the docking station and can run diagnostics to let you know if there are any issues with the vacuum. The vacuum comes with 2 batteries that can be charged through the docking station. Battery charging time is fairly quick and the battery lasts fairly long as long as you don’t use the vacuum in turbo mode for any length of time. The vacuum was easy to assemble. The wand is adjustable and must be in the shortest position in order to insert into the docking station. It has a decent size dust bin that can be emptied either in the docking station or into a trash can. It also has a slide that allows you to condense down the dirt so you can use less space in the collection bag in the docking station. Performance wise the vacuum does a reasonably good job of cleaning carpet and hard floors. The brush head only has a small wheel on the bottom of the back of the head and 2 smaller wheels on the front. This configuration does not make for a very comfortable feel when trying to maneuver the brush head on carpet. It feels stiff. The vacuum has 3 levels of suction including turbo mode and a single on/off switch on the handle so you don’t have to constantly hold down a trigger to keep the vacuum operating. This is a nice feature. The vacuum comes with 3 attachments including a dusting brush, small powered brush head and crevice tool all of which can be stored in the docking station. The one feature that I have grown a custom to is lights on the brush head. To me this is a major fail on LG’s part to not include. If I were only reviewing the vacuum, I would give it a 3 as there are in my opinion better $400 vacuums available that offer more features and better and easier cleaning. As for the docking station. This feature is awesome. When I first got the product delivered, I immediately noticed how heavy the package was. Far heavier than the vacuum itself. There was not much assembly required for the docking station other than setting it on its base and installing 4 rubber feet on the bottom of the base for stability. There is an opening on the front of the station for inserting the vacuum and 2 side doors that open to store the tools and give access to the collection bag and filters. There is a digital readout on top of the unit that lets you know the second battery is charging, allows you to set the station to automatically empty the vacuum when inserted or manually start this function and lets you know when it is in empty mode. There is also an indicator to let you know when to change the filter. When you insert the vacuum, a melody plays to let you know it is going in to the empty mode and starts. It sounds like a high-powered vacuum when it is emptying the vacuum and then plays a melody to let you know it is finished. This feature is awesome and it really works very well. My dust bin has been completely clean when this function is completed. There is a replaceable dust bag and the unit comes with 3 additional bags when you need to replace them. Both the vacuum and the docking station do a great job at filtering the air and the various filters can be washed and reused. The rating I would give the docking station if a solid 5 for its appearance and functionality. I am rating the combination as a 4 due to the lesser performance and features of the vacuum itself. If you really have to have a self-emptying system and are willing to pay the price then this is a nice product. If vacuum performance is at the top of your list than consider other vacuum only options. This is a decent $400 vacuum with an excellent $400 self-emptying docking station. I would only recommend this LG vacuum if self-emptying is a priority.

The LG Cord Zero line has been an impressive set of vacuums that LG has introduced and improved upon since it's induction. LG has a wide array of stick vacuum that fits your liking. This one is model is for its ability to semi self-clean and empty itself which could be rather useful if you're vacuuming often and want an empty and ready to vacuum.
One of the greatest selling points of this LG stick vacuum is the fact that it can be a part of or the centerpiece of the room with its sleek docking station hiding the battery charger and accessories inside. With minimal noise when the self-emptying occurs, it'll definitely be a talking point among visitors and will look amazing in the room.
Performance on hard wood floors and low-profile carpet and rugs has been very impressive but seems to perform a bit lower on high profile carpets. Luckily, I only have one high profile rug, I guess. Battery life has been as good as advertised and it's very comfortable to hold while using as well. My only ripe about this model is the fact that you'll have to buy the tower bags often if you're a heavy user and they're not exactly cheap for a expensive stick vac.
All in all, this is a very stylish stick vac with a lot to offer, but it is not a cheap one to own. Thanks.

The LG - CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with Auto Empty and Kompressor - Sand Beige is a very convenient cordless stick vacuum system with an auto empty function. When fully charged, the system lasts long enough to clean my entire house which is approximately 2000 square feet. Two batteries are included. The auto empty function works as designed and is a great convenience. The vacuum works on both hardwood floors and on rugs but I found that it performed better on my rugs, especially the stairs. Stairs and furniture can be cleaned by simply detaching the hand vacuum. The vacuum also comes with an app that allows you to see the charging status, vacuum history, and other useful information.
Although the cordless vacuum is typical of LG's great quality and has better suction power than other battery vacuums, such as the Dyson, that I have used, I would probably recommend it as a supplement to a full powered vacuum for an entire home. Yes, it is convenient and well made, but it does not quite have the suction power required for difficult areas. I didn’t get a chance to try it, but the vacuum comes with a Power Mop attachment for hard floors that doesn’t require harmful chemicals. Simply fill the reservoir with water, snap on the attachment and start mopping.

Great updates, best amongst cordless options

The new CordZero Vacuum makes some essential upgrades to design, batteries, and accessories. It is definitely a top notch cordless vac that competes well with Dyson. There are some areas where I'd say this comes in second, such as maneuverability and tech but I only have the V11 to compared to. In terms of my older LG, this has many updates that make it more refined.
Setup is easy. It's a cordless vacuum, there is not much to it.
Unboxing: The look is sleek and is higher end than previously. It is larger and takes more space because it has the auto-empty accessory now. It includes a few attachments that store nicely.
Value: This is a high price point. It has a lot more features included which is nice. However, the fact there are many additional attachments available for purchase but not included is highly disappointment at this level of cost.
Battery life: excellent. I've not had any issue doing a full vacuum on moderately dirty floors in a ~2500 sq ft space. As long as you are keeping it charge there will be no issues.
Vacuum: Cleans wells. Picks up 80% of debris in one pass. It does struggle with some large things but that's fairly standard. I was disappointed in the edge cleaning. The attachments are nice but it's not really easy on a long stick. The not-included attachments for purchase have a short flexible hose option which should really be included. The mini nozzle is nice for cars. Overall, I am happy but the edge cleaning and overall maneuverability could be better.
Overall: This is a good vacuum. I would definitely look at other options before making a final decision given the price point. But overall I would recommend this one.

This is the first stick type vacuum cleaner that I have ever owned. I have mixed feeling about it and it's performance.
The packaging: It is boxed up very nicely and very well protected. When I opened everything up, everything was well intact and undamaged or out of place. Unboxing it was very easy as well. Just pop the two straps and slide off the top part of the box. Good packaging design.
The appearance: the look of this vacuum and it's stand is very sleek. I like the black color and it fits well into my living room. It doesn't stick out like an eyesore.
The setup: setting up this vacuum was fairly straightforward and I had it in place and ready to go in a fairly quick amount of time. The simplicity of the setup was surprising because there are a lot of little things to put in place like the attachments, the bags, the base itself, the batteries and the vacuum.
Functionality: it is easy to use and doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Use the vacuum then put it on the base. The base empties the vacuum itself. Easy enough for me.
Performance: this is where I am disappointed. I don't feel like it cleans my carpet very well and found myself having to do multiple passes just to have it really clean like my regular cannister vacuum does. It works decent on my hard floors in the kitchen ands entry way but it isn't very good at picking up larger things like small pebbles or things of similar size. I know it's a stick vacuum but the performance should be better than this.
The app: personally, I feel like the app is pointless. I could care less at the cleaning history of my vacuum cleaner. It honestly feels more complicated than it needs to be. I haven't had to use the diagnostic part yet but we'll see how it works when I do.
The base: The self emptying feature is definitely a cool feature but I don't like that I have to buy bags instead of just clean a canister. The charging on the stand works as it should and is fine for me.
Overall, I feel like this stick vacuum is more bells and whistles and less actual performance.

Who gets excited over a new vacuum? This guy. I can't believe that this cordless and compact vacuum can do what it does. And it's Wifi enabled! Goes great with smart homes, or if you just happen to be tech savvy. App is intuitive making it easy to check on your Vacuum. It's amazing how powerful this cordless vacuum is. If you have pets you'll love this, as pet hair is a thing of the past. Extendable wand so you can reach places that you can't with a normal upright, cobweb corners are gone. Battery lasts long enough to do my 1200 sq ft home without losing suction. I thought the Kompressor tech was just a gimmick, but it does work to pack more dirt in.
The downside is that if you have pets, you'll be cleaning this thing after every use. Longer pet hair tends to clog it, just be mindful of that. If your pet hair is bad enough you may have to break it down and clean midway through your chore.
The "5 step filtration" does seem to work, but not as well as I think it should. The charging stand looks nice and works well for emptying the vacuum.

I’ve owned many of the big brand vacuums and this one is up to par with the rest with a few things I don’t like, I’ll get to that later. First, the box is very big however packed very nice. After unpacking, there are several guides you have to figure out which one you need to get started. Once you figure that out you’ll be ready to go once you collect all the accessories and put everything together. Not that there is much assembly but there is a bunch of extra parts and filters etc. I did hook to Wi-Fi and once I noticed both batteries were fully charged I tried it out. First thing I noticed was my kids had left some Cheerios on the hardwood and the vacuum sits to low to pick them up. I had to pick up and put the vacuum on the cereal to suck it up. I also noticed this with cat food. Moving to the carpet if you switch to turbo I felt it did as well as my upright corded vacuum. I did notice I only got about 20 minutes on one battery, you get two, on turbo. There is a slow speed which is good for dust and hair, medium is good for crumbs, and turbo to get the carpet clean. Besides the beater bar not being tall enough to roll over bigger items the suction is on par with other high priced vacuums. The charger / auto empty bin is (in my opinion) a waste. It costs more money, it cleans out your vacuum, it’s big, and you have to change out the bags. To me, emptying out the bin is very easy so the auto emptying bin is not needed. Overall, the vacuum is great but I wouldn’t pay for the fancy stand. I give it 4 stars for the suction and build but deduct for the stand, height of the beater bar, and price.

The stand takes care of most of the hassle of a stick vacuum - emptying it and charging it - and looks sleek in the process. The downside is that you need extra room on the sides and behind it, and you will have to change the collection bag occasionally. The attachments store neatly in the sides, which swing open, but you have to leave room for them to swing open. There's even a little brush for cleaning the attachments. You will also need to swing both sides open to access the collection bag when it needs to be changed. There are some washable filters associated both with the tower and the stick vacuum. The fan that sucks the dirt out of the vacuum and into the tower exhausts to the back of the tower, so you need to leave room behind the tower and be aware that it will be blowing air that direction - it stirred a few dust bunnies out of the corner the first time it ran. The spare battery and charging station is hidden in the top of the tower, and it will charge both simultaneously, but it also takes twice as long to charge them both at the same time. The vacuum does have good power. Running on normal speed, it would pick up dirt that my old stick vac needed to be on high speed for. This does have a "turbo" mode, but you have to keep the button depressed the entire time you want that extra suction. Don't bother trying to connect it to the smartphone app though - it's buggy and crashes, and I'm not convinced there's additional value there anyway. Overall, this is a good vacuum in an attractive stand that adds a lot of convenience.

LG - CordZero Cordless Stick Vacuum with All-in-One Tower - Iron Grey
The LG cordless stick vacuum is a self-cleaning all in one cordless vacuum. It has a small but usable debris cup and is easy to empty. The debris cup features a very nice slide clean button that allows you to push the debris out the bottom of the cup without getting your hands in the mess. This simple button can also be used when the vacuum is doing its self-empty function. I allow the stand to start the empty cycle and then I press the slide clean button a few times. I have found that doing this completely empties the debris cup and it’s ready for the next use. It comes with 2 batteries and keeps both charged and ready for use. I have used it on normal speed for about 10 minutes and haven’t noticed any loss in power. I then used it on power mode and again I didn’t notice any loss of power. I turned on Turbo a few times but in my situation I don’t really need that very much so Turbo won’t be used very often. All accessories are stored in the stand. This is a nice feature, but LG has failed to understand that some people have a very hard time seeing inside a dark cabinet that is covered on all side and lets in no light. In order for me to use the stand cabinet for storage I need to have a flashlight handy. Black on black with no added light might as well not be there to my eyes. A little frustrating but still better than not knowing where the accessories are in 6 months. I’ll take that for what its worth, a win is a win. It would have been better to have a lighter color on the inside of the storage area. The power head has an issue with tight nap carpet. It gets stuck in place and the force needed to move it is a little more than I think should be put on an all plastic machine. The cause of this is the power head has multiple brushes to force the vacuum to pull in air and debris from the front and not the back. These brushes get caught in the tight nap of the carpet. I’ve found that changing the direction of the pushing on the power head seems to help, so keep in mind that the direction you want to clean may not be the best for the vacuum. The vacuum comes with 3 debris bags, 1 installed and 2 extra. 1 additional washable dust filter for the vacuum motor head. As far as the other filters, and there are plenty, they do not include any extras. I’m not sure if they need to be replaced very often so I’m not thinking this is an issue. There is an LG APP you can sync the vacuum to, but I could not get this APP to work correctly. Although I am unable to review the APP I will not mark this down as a negative. When I looked for answers about this issue I see that LG seems to be on the ball with trying their best to fix the issues as they come up. My issues was listed in the complaints so I saw no reason to “pile-on” a complaint. After all, this is a vacuum, why do you need to know if a filter is getting full on your phone. There are lights on top of the stand that will point this out, no APP required. I'm sure LG will address the issues I had, and multiple other people had. In the extensive manuals for the vacuum it does say to turn off the Wi-Fi if your not using it to save energy. So I'll just leave it off.

The one integral thing that every home needs is a vacuum, regardless of the size. Over the years I have owned and used many vacuums that are unimpressive but do exactly what you need of them. This is the first vacuum that I have ever owned that actually wowed me and asking where has it been my whole life.
The LG CordZero Stick Vacuum is housed in the most impressived tower that I have ever seen. Most vacuums have stands that are flimsy and if they are not screwed into the wall they do not support the weight of the vacuum. This LG Vacuum tower litterarly houses the vacuum, its self cleaner feature and it's accessories. It is the furthest thing from an eye sore and it actually prompts people visiting my home to ask questions about it. It does a superior job cleaning up both hardwood floors and carpet floors. The battery life is fantastic and the top of the tower has a digital display that tells you the current battery life. Having the vacuum empty itself out into the waste component in the tower is a breeze and such a neat feature. Honestly, it is my favorite feature for many reasons. As most people who vacuum know, emptying out a vacuum is messy and often times emptying out you can miss the trash can or lint/dust, etc will spill out all over the place. The vacuum emptys into a waste bag which you just dispose of. It is such a game changing feature and you will never have to worry about missing the waste basket.
Overall, it really is a joy to vacuum with this LG product and I think every home should have it. LG stands for "Lifes Good" and this product certainly helps with that.
