In less than a year the compressor went out. It was repaired under warranty. At 3 years the ice maker went out and now at years the compressor is out again.

Broke twice in the first 5 years!!

So we had to have a repair within 15 months of purchasing. Thankfully LG covered it. Well, it just broke again last night. You would think spending 3500 would get you a decent fridge. One that would not need to be fixed twice in 2 years. It's probably not even worth fixing at this point. We will look new, I don't think it will be LG either.

We have been happy with this fridge up until now but we are calling an appliance repairman because it has stopped cooling properly. Hopefully we can get it serviced before we loose a bunch of meat in the freezer. Too early for such an appliance.

Large and spacious refrigerator. Built great. The black finish looks especially nice. Having two sliding compartments with temperature personalization makes it convenient to set settings. The fridge compartment is deep, but can put pressure on the back when bending so far down to reach for items.

DO NOT BUY

This is a review of Best Buy's delivery service. We had purchased a Samsung counter depth refrigerator from Best Buy 3 years ago. It was delivered and installed with no issue. Unfortunately, the Samsung was a lemon (as with EVERY Samsung appliance) and we have been forced to replace with a counter depth LG. After removing all food and pulling the broken Best Buy Samsung out, the delivery guys say they can't fit the new fridge up our one flight of stairs. It's the exact same size refrigerator as the lemon Samsung that Best Buy delivered 3 years earlier with no problems. Now we are left with rotting food and massive frustration, We will be canceling the 4k order in the morning and shopping elsewhere.

From the moment my friend brought this product she has had the Geek squad and others trying to fix this kitchen space filler because that's all it is. It freezes up so get ready to throw out all your food. The $200.00 they allow will not cover your loss of food or time running to the store. A frigeration company stated "LG should not make a frig." Their warrenty is a joke and no appointment to replace this lemon. As repairing is not an option there is too much wrong.

RUN AWAY FROM LG Refrigerators!!!!! Be prepared for I I I Wish I would have read reviews more carefully, especially those written by people who have units for 1 full year. EXPENSIVE repairs less than 18 months from time of purchase. Good luck finding a repair person willing to work on these fridges. Well known history of shoddy workmanship, so much so, reputable repair people refuse to work on them. Just sunk $800 into an essentially new fridge to keep it running.

Fridge died about 20 months after purchase.
Then broke again 2 weeks after it was repaired.
Both times total waste on all food.
Both times weeks until fixed.
Not sure why these are still being sold.
Call to report that it is broken. Wait for first guy to show up and troubleshoot it. Wait another week till parts come in and another guys shows up to fix it.
Then repeat these steps 2 weeks later.
Will never buy LG again.

Stay away from lg refrigerators and a.c they will die within a year. Faulty compressors and they still sold these refrigerators knowing they were going to fail. 2 units lmxs30776s die due to compressor failure and when compressor goes the fans run so much they start becoming noisy needing replacing. They is a class action lawsuit against them for this. They dont help at all. Bestbuy is the was to go.protection plan is a must. Loss 300 to 400 dollars of food at least 4 times. I'm on to g.e profile know.

It worked well for about two years, and then it quit working. It was still under factory warranty, so after two weeks and $600 later it was repaired. The repair has lasted almost a year, but now it's losing refrigeration again.
It's all sizzle-no steak. Definitely not worth buying.

Loud and faulty

I’ve had this refrigerator for approximately eight months and there are pieces inside that vibrate constantly and the door alarms malfunction all the time to create constant beeping. While the beverage drawer is a nice addition, it’s an incredibly faulty product overall. I have also contacted Best Buy to assist and they sent me to the manufacturer who sent me back to Best Buy so clearly no one is willing to stand beside this product.

This is the 2nd time I have had to have someone out to repair the fridge (really glad I have the Geek Squad protection). Both times it's been a 1 month+ wait to get parts. This time the fridge doesn't work at all - so what am I supposed to do while I wait for the parts? Never buying LG appliances again!

My review is primary based on what has happened since the purchase so here we go ....
#1) Spent $4,000 on 4 LG appliances and set up a June 4th delivery date. I though it was great because I wouldn't have to take anytime off work.
#2) Kept getting automated voice mails that week about rescheduling my appointment even though all my appliances showed they would be delivered that day.
#3) Two days before the delivery, I finally call the store to find out what is going on. They said they would get back to me. End of day, still haven't call so I stopped in the store to find out what is going on. They still don't know where the microwave is but it won't be installed on Saturday. I said fine. The other 3 will be installed. They said yes. And we figure a time to get the last one installed the next week
#4) Get home on Friday, another automated call about calling in to change your appointment. I call the store to see what was going on. They have no idea either. They claim the product is here in the store.
#5) Saturday arrives. Fridge and Oven only show up. I asked about the Dishwasher and they have no idea. I go to the store once they are done and ask what is going on. They don't know but they amended the repair on the 8th to include the 8th.
#6) Sunday morning. We had been running water through the ice and water lines all day Saturday to get the junk out of the line and the first thing I see on Sunday is about the same amount of water on my wood floors as we had been running through the machine the previous day. Thus, back to the store for the 4th time in 5 days to find out what I need to do to get that resolved.
#7) Sunday night called Geek Squad to get a repair set up for my fridge even though they say 24/7 they couldn't set up an appointment because I called close to 11pm. They did give me the number to file a claim on the damaged floor.
#8) Called Geek Squad back to set up a time to come fix the fridge. Gave them my WORK NUMBER to call me at so I knew when I needed to be home. Key words ... WORK NUMBER.
#9) Called the claims line to get some set up regarding the floor damage.
#10) Call the store again on Tuesday to find out if both appliances would be delivered on Wednesday. Got a half hearted yes. Almost like maybe, maybe not we don't know. But is does say yes on the paper. It was after 6pm and I had no confirmation phone call about the time as my time was 8-5. I told them I need to know so I can let my work know if they are going to be here at 8am or 4 pm. The person at Best Buy must think we all time to sit around waiting appliances to be installed. I reminder her they all should have been installed on 6/4. Also explained to the person that my floors were damage because of a defect in the water line. Didn't want to hear any apologies and basically ended the conversation.
#11) Best Buy actually called me. Must have been a manager. Could not 100% guarantee that the Microwave and Dishwasher would be installed. Reminded him they have messed up everything up to this point. Told him as well if they aren't installed tomorrow they can come pick up the other two. Didn't even phase him. Said I will note that in the records.
#12) Installer called me around 8pm. Said he would be at my house between 10-2. I asked him if he is installing both microwave and dishwasher. He said yes. I said if you don't have both don't even bother showing up as Best Buy will be coming to pick up what they installed the previous Saturday.
#13) Installer showed up a little after 10:30am and finished a bit before 2pm. Did a great job. Would hire him again.
#14) Sunday Night the display on the Microwave is completely bright and you cannot read anything. 4 days and now I need a second tech to come out and fix another appliance.
#15) Monday call the Geek Squad people to set up a repair. Told them I am basically unavailable the next 2.5 weeks until after 6pm. They say we will note this and call you. See later ....
#16) Today .... The tech that was supposed to call me at WORK calls my home and leaves a voice mail about the repair that he will be at my house a round 4pm. Problem is I work to 4:15 and needed to be called at WORK so I could bug out a bit early. I miss the guy by less than 10 minutes and they tell me he can't come back to my house tonight. I told them you guys messed this up not me. I left specific instructions for him to call me at WORK not HOME. Almost two weeks before I can get some back out here on my time.
#17) I asked about the 21st when someone is coming to fix the microwave. Can't do. Then I asked when I spoke with someone yesterday they could have someone come out the second half of the 4 hour window. I was told that wasn't possible. I said then most likely I will have to re-schedule that one as well?
***Not once during this ordeal has Best Buy tried to rectify the situation. I am sorry but "I am Sorry" or "my next available" isn't good enough. I don't know how many thousands of dollars of stuff I have purchased from them over the past 20 years ... I would guess it is in the excess of $20 or $25K .... But this is most likely the last.
I don't care if the appliances out live me ... Just see them make me want to throw up because of the whole ordeal.
