I like everything on the Flex, but the phone doesn't work so great. I miss most of my calls if a voicemail isn't left I don't know who calls. I have had sprint for years and had deadspots here and there but not like this. It has to be the phone bc my wifes HTC one works great right beside me...Oh well I needed it for the web surfing for work and email and they work great.

I enjoy the Knock on and lock feature eliminating the need for the power button on the back of the phone. I knew going into the phone it was large, but the feel in the pocket is big unless you have it positioned just right with the curve matching up with your leg.

A Great Tech Demo Phone With A Bad Camera

This is the tech demo phone. A curved screen. The device actually is flexible. The back does self heal from small surface scratches (which is important, since it's difficult to find cases stocked in stores right now). The 6 inch display - if you're in the market for a phablet, is more pleasant to hold because of it's curve than something of similar size like the One Max. LG's new back button placement style is actually ergonomic on the G Flex, because of the size and curve of the device (as opposed to their use on the G2). The slight changes made to LG UI for the phone are pleasant, and it provides a much closer to stock Android experience than TouchWiz. However, I really only strongly recommend this phone for tech enthusiasts looking to pave the way for future phone designs. Given that this phone is similar in size and price to, say, the Galaxy Note 3, the Note 3 is likely the better phone for the average user. The SPen isn't gimmicky, it's dead helpful on a near 6 inch device - it would be nice if this had something similar. The display on the Note 3 is 1080, the G Flex is 720. It's NOT BAD, but it's not great either. It definitely holds the phone back. The screen is just grainy. Like the old Samsung LED displays of old. It distorts the images in a similar way to how a smudge proof screen protector does. And then because the screen is grainy, Lg actually decided to emphasize the grain into their UI for the phone. I don't hate it, but it definitely makes images darker and muddier. That screen is coupled with the problem of the camera. Yes it is 13 megapixels, but there is FAR more to a camera than how many megapixels it has. And this phone lacking optical image stabilization (the unit wouldn't fit in the flexi phone) makes images with any amount of low light muddy and distorted. To be fair to the phone, I've experienced similar problems with other large phone cameras. An iPhone or Lumia image this phones camera is not! However, the Snapdragon 800 2.26 GHz Quad Core processor is incredibly BEAST, and the 3500 mAh battery will insure that it stays beastly for days. It's day 2, used out of the box with no charge (was about 70% on purchase) and it's got about 30% left still, and me and my fiancé have been using it like crazy! In all, this is a fantastic phone, with a mediocre display, and a poor camera, with awesome new technologies that IMO completely make up for the grainy display and bad camera :). It really depends why you want to buy the phone!

    A Fantastic Phone!

Fantastic Phone! Had I known that this phone was so big, I wouldn't have chosen it. This phone has effectively replaced my tablet for reading using my Nook app. The battery lasts such a ridiculously long timetime that I feel spoiled. Check this out: I went to work, and after seven hours of work with a few conversations, some texting, viewing of emails; the battery was STILL at 100%!! I was stunned! It comes with an infrared remote control built in, the specs also say that also it has an FM radio but I have not seen any evidence of one. What made me choose this phone was the fact that it has 2GB of RAM for handling multiple applications. I purchased it online without first paying attention to the phone's dimensions. It is bigger than Samsung's Galaxy Note. When I think of a 'phablet,' I think of the Note. The LG G Flex's dimensions: go get an unopened foil package of Pop-Tarts. Take one of them out. Stretch the foil package so that there are no wrinkles. That is the length, width, and height of the G Flex. Put the Pop-Tart back in and you approximate the weight. I recommended the LG G2 as a smaller phone with similar specs. The LG G Flex is a man's phone.

    Super Cell Phone!

Bought a LG g flex for my wife on Wed. 7/2 (upgrade from a S3). Took it home & set it up for her & I was impressed & she was more than happy. Now - Down to the basement & see if I had reception - Bingo! Fri. I got one for myself. What it is & what is is not. It has a large 6" 720p hd screen not a 1080p hd so it's not the latest & greatest, but more than sufficent. A very fast quad core processor - again, not the fastest processor on the market today, but better than most. The main reasons I bought one for myself: Battery life is fantastic - We went the first 2 days & had 28% left after fully charging it. Camera is quite good, but there are better cameras on other phones, so when I really need to take great pictures - I pull out my Nikon D7000 as no cell phone camera will take a better shot. After all: A phone is a phone & a camera is a camera #use the right tool#. Call quality is great - My main & # 1 reason for a cell phone. I don't text very much, but the size of the keypad was made for my large hands, so I no longer need a stylus. It's curved & very sleek & seductive looking & easy to hold in your hand or fit in a pocket #unlike the HTC One Max or the Samsung Note 3#. It' also fairly lightweight considering it's size. Sound quality is as good as any that do not have twin front speakers, but I can live with that & hope the G flex 2 will have it along with a sd card slot. All said & done - It really is a great cell phone with some very useful features @ a fair price. Should I have waited for the LG G3? Maybe - But for now I'm much more than satisfied with my G flex & so is my wife. Whip it out in a tavern & watch all the iphone & S3/4/5 owners ask what is that? Just a very cool phone!

I've been reading reviews of this phone both professional and consumer. I don't understand some of their concerns. I've had this phone for 5 days now and I think it is great! I had the Samsung Mega which I bought for screen size which was huge but the phone was too slow. The Flex is super fast! And I fail to see what others are complaining about. Grainy screen? Bad camera? Maybe it's my 55 year old eyes but I think the display is bright, clear and amazing! And the camera takes excellent pictures. I debated between this phone and the Note 3 and I am very happy I chose The Flex.
