This phone was a great buy, it also take excellent photos by taping on the area you want to focus on it will change the lighting to fit that area. The call quality is clear even in my area which has randomly chsnging reception. The battery life is amazing on a full charge i got over 100 hours on the battery without use.

Lets be honest here, my review of this phone is probably negligible, as the tech industry, and phones in particular, are extra-eeeemly prone to becoming outdated. However, this phone's stats (processor, screen, camera quality, optional non mainstream extras) have continued to make it a viable alternative to paying 600+ for a phone, unless you meet specific requirements. That being said, I bought this phone from here just after amazon upped its price from 250 (what I paid) to 700.... so there's that.
Pros:
Super solid hardware, great processor and good amount of memory, camera quality is quite simply stunning for a phone, and the nonstandard-to-phones universal remote control (And its attendant program) are surprisingly good, considering its not just an IR remote. I often find myself using it, simply because I can.
Cons:
As most other reviewers will have said, Software software software. I seriously can't stress that enough. out of just under 2 gigs of ram showing, I'm lucky if the normal system resources will take half that, but it usually takes more. Despite the amount of bloatware and the slight glitchy-ness of the programs involved, the phone can generally keep up. A few of these programs are actually quite useful( although an SOS flashlight slightly puzzles me), and generally are well thought out if they are to help you use your phone. most of the programs that are used that use up the rescources seem to be ones designed to mask the standard Android system, which, if these skin programs effect speed and available ram, Id rather see standard android things. There are plenty of skins out on the market that you could use instead that are much nicer to their system. A lack of SD card saddens me, but, as having come from a note 2, I can attest to the added reliability to the system because there is no sd card slot. There are hubs in the market that help add its expandability, just not so conveniently as an sd card would do. Optional thing to note: the modding community has seen that this great piece of hardware has been slightly hamstrung, and as a result there are many different guides to root and reflash this phone. My suggestion would be to simply install superuser and root access, then use the list of programs that these people have listed as safe to stop-remove. XDA community is quite helpful in this facet.
Overall, I would give this phone a ringing endorsement for someone to purchase even now, so long after its release. The reverse buttons can become mildly annoying, however I don't think its a deal breaker.

Pros:
Fast performance
Screen size (5.2") and res (1920x1080)
Camera (13MP)
GPS more consistently reliable than on my old device (Nexus 4)
Battery life (I have not measured duration, but the level never approaches empty in 1 day, even after using as SatNav)
Cons:
Relatively large, which hurts portability, especially in protective case
With non-stock Android, some apps cannot be uninstalled (without rooting device)

I was eligible to upgrade in Sept and had looked at the Galaxy S4, Moto X, and HTC One as replacements for my Galaxy S3. I'm glad I waited until the G2 came out--would have been disappointed with the others. My teenage son, who got his upgrade to the iPhone 5s earlier, was impressed and said he would have liked my phone if it weren't for the large screen. Although there is no SD slot, 32gb should be enough for my needs. I was a bit surprised at the low quality sound from the speaker. I am usually on a hands-free set or using headphones so I can live with the issue. The resolution is so sharp, pictures are great, and since I'm mainly on Wi-Fi, processor speed is top notch. If you're in an area that has limited 4G LTE coverage and you need it, you may be disappointed. Otherwise, you will appreciate all this phone has to offer.

Ruined by Sprint - lacking conveniences

Sprint has rendered what could be an awesome phone useless by eliminating the choice of LTE vs CDMA network on this phone's shell. I have yet to root the phone to see if this can be overcome. Even when you are sitting within 100 feet of a known-working 4G tower, the phone won't recognize it and restricts you to 3g. Sprint should focus on getting their 4G towers up-to-date instead of restricting customers usage of other carriers' bandwidth.
The handy "knock-on" feature is nice, but quirky. It doesn't always work - especially when you aren't facing the camera. The phone has a face-recognition as password option that I have disabled but I believe it is still trying to see who is using the phone. Creepy in this day of high-handed corporate and governemnt snooping.
Annoyingly the Sprint software tries to kick you off the network and onto any available wifi - even unsecured scary public networks unless you dig deep into the Settings>Mobile Networks>Connections Optimizer and Deselect the forced re-route. Sprint does this to save themselves money and it isn't going to help customers who are all forced into limitless data plans. As someone who has heavy influence on tech purchasing at my very very large corporation, I am not impressed.
Lack of micro SD card and HDMI out. The phone is physically very large so a lack of micro SD card is a detriment as I cannot load pics from my DSLR to the phone for editing and sharing. However, the nfc option connected to my pocketable Samsung WB150F camera quickly. An HDMI out would put the speedy processor to work by playing downloaded movies on the hotel tv.
Cameras and screen - the screen is beautiful, but left unprotected is prone to scratches. The on-board camera and video is beautiful. Zooming and shutter activation are on-screen which has a tendency to ruin your composition but may not be an issue for most people. The HD video is gorgeous and the sound pickup was good without distortion in a windy beach environment.
Size and feel - I am biased because I like smaller phones that I can slip in my Levi's front or rear pocket without worrying about loss/theft. I am adjusting to the phone...because I have to. The case is very slick plastic that is prone to slipping from my hand, especially when wearing gloves (Minnesota). Touch screen works well with special phone gloves. I miss the lightly texture back on my old Samsung Conquer.
Given the large size of the phone, you would think the antenna would provide great reception, but it doesn't. The indicated signal strength and network speed are non-existent at my office where I had 3 bars with my old Samsung Conquer.
Battery life - the battery is huge by cell phone standards and recharges quickly. As I am not a heavy screen user and rarely get a signal at the office, my phone only drops below 90% charge when I travel, watch downloaded movies, or use the MP3 player. Lack of an end-user replaceable battery means I still have to carry my ipod to stream music to my motorcycle helmet via bluetooth. I can't risk having the phone battery die halfway through a 400 mile day because I was listening to music.
Music - better built-in speakers than most phones. It plays at 192 kbps and it is a noticeable improvement in the sound output even in my inexpensive Philips headphones.
Would I get this phone again knowing what I know now? No. The benefits of a faster processor, nice screen, and nice camera are lost on me since Sprint throttles the network, I don't play games on it, and I prefer real cameras and a micro sd slot and hdmi out. For most end-users this phone would replace their digital camera and MP3 player. My 3 year old Samsung is more functional and multipurpose. The screen and cameras are pretty on this though.
Personally, I can't see why LG would let Sprint ruin their masterpiece phones. Given LG and Samsung are very capable of pushing technology, I think it is time they take over some of the cell phone networks and let their technical and business savvy shine.

Good battery life. Will last most off the day with moderate use without needing a charge. Camera takes really good clear pictures. Even though the phone is a couple of years old still pretty fast compared to today's phones. Highly recommended.

This phone is great. The 5.2 inch 1080p screen is gorgeous and bright with almost no bezle around the device. Camera is great 13mp produces sharp and vivid images and the video is equally as good. The battery is the best among any phone I've owned, I get 18+ hours with heavy use. The snapdragon 800 SoC in this phone is monster the phone Flys through everything you throw at it no problem and never slowing down. The only faults I can give it is that the speaker is decent but not great, and the call quality isn't the best but LG really produced a fantastic product and I highly recommend it

I'll stay by admitting I don't usually go out and spend hundreds on the newest smartphone- if you're that type of person, def get a G3. But having worked in wireless for 6+ yrs I've used almost every device put out by Samsung, htc & even Apple in that time... And the G2 by far blows them all away! The "knock-on" feature to unlock the screen by double tapping is so practical & useful it seems necessary to me now. If I use someone else's phone it feels like I'm taking a step backwards having to use the lock button... Lol. Aside from that, the processor is just as fast as the Galaxy S4 & S5, as well as the htc One; and makes anything Apple has ever put out look like a joke, quite frankly. Love the Q-Slide apps- I can use the dialer, calculator, calendar, read & send texts, and more as on screen widgets without actually opening the app... No other smartphone line does that! The battery life is fantastic- gets through a full 16-18 hr day no prob (usually still between 20-30% when I finally plug in for the night). The buttons on the back setup does take a little getting used to, but after a couple days really just makes more sense ;plus with the knock on feature and volume slider in the drop down menu, the buttons are all but unnecessary anyway. This is by far the greatest in a long line of smartphones I've used in the past several yrs... Oh, and I paid $1 for the 32gb model, seriously. Very satisfied!

The in-store purchase experience, and failure/inability to provision (activate) the phone was less than impressive, however the price could not have been better. The Sprint network still has major "holes" where RSSI (signal strength) is very low for CDMA (voice) and non-existent for 4G LTE data (and even for 3G data). However, when you are in an area with good signal, and 4G LTE available, this phone is simply OUTSTANDING! The Extremely Fast and Powerful CPU, and 32 gb of standard RAM provides an amazing experience (especially when using 4G or WiFi). The display is bright, sharp and precise. The color rendition and sharpness are the best I have seen. The camera is really impressive and has lots of features and functionality in addition to being extremely sharp. The single disappointment is the lack of a date/time stamping option for the images (a feature that even my first-generation Android provided). The phone software allows almost limitless customization. The battery life "appears" to be superb (although I experienced one overnight period where the "sleeping" phone drained better than 50% of the battery inexplicably; which appeared cured/corrected after a power-cycle reboot). In general, it has run for several days when used lightly. The "knock-on" feature is terrific. Overall, this is really an amazing, outstanding phone. It would undoubtedly be a top-seller if LG had done any real marketing/advertising and had not cannibalized sales with the Nexus 5. The only "improvements" would be a user-replaceable battery and memory card slot. The size of the phone, like the other appx. 5" screens, has reached the limits of providing a Large Screen while still accommodating one-handed operation. It is a GREAT phone!

I absolutely love my LG G2 phone! I really believe that it's the best phone out there! The screen is beautiful, and 5.25 inches is perfect. What makes the screen so perfect is that the size of the screen is not taken up by so much border. It has basically the same footprint as the HTC One, but has a half inch bigger screen! I'm coming from 5 generations of HTC phones, which includes all of the EVO's, and the HTC One. I love the buttons on the back. I don't ever see myself going back to anything else! I hope LG keeps the buttons on the back! Before, I always had to be careful how I held my phone as I would constantly be accidentally pushing a button... not a problem with the LG G2. Some people have said that the User Interface is not good. To me, it is great! Battery life is super. I love the tap on - tap off feature as well. I highly recommend this phone!

I upgraded to this phone from an S3 running Apex launcher because I hated touchwiz. I had considered the note 3 and the htc one max, but they were just too big for my tiny girl pockets. This phone however has the best and biggest screen in the smallest package. Its great, and so fast, this phine has not hung up once on me and as a heavy user that's amazing!
The camera is also supurb, I take tons of photos with my phone and this device really ahines in low light situations, especially where my s3 couldnt muster more then shadows.
All in all great device and I am more then happy with this phone :3

I was apprehensive leaving Samsung' s galaxy phone line up, but I have no regrets. This phone is amazing, fast, and easy to use. After I have owned galaxy phones, and my wife's htc one, I was surprised to find even a better display exists. Signal reception is good, better than htc one for sure. The button placement got a lot of negative reviews, but after a day or two to get used to it, it does make more sense, plus with knock knock, I really don't use them. The "big" battery in the phone is sure nice. I regularly go about 15 hours off the charger with normal use (more data than voice), and still have battery to go. Great job LG. The only things that could make this phone better is, better sound (HTC one dominants that area), and expandable memory. So far, I love it...

After doing the research and also the fact that this was a FREE upgrade on my Sprint account I decided on the G2. I was a bit worried about the fact that there's no SD card slot. No big deal at all. 32gigs on board is great. Need more tunes? Upload your stuff to Google Play Music. I was worried about the fact that you can't swap out a battery. No big deal, the battery life is spectacular. Better than any phone I've had, smart or otherwise. The screen quality is phenomenal. Now that Sprint has better data speeds and general service in Savannah, I am more than satisfied with this phone. I love it.

A good smart phone for all those who are NOT Apple fans, like myself. My first smartphone, nice applications but some I would like to delete but can't because of Google licensing. Picture quality very good, sometimes calls still sound like they are under water-might be a Sprint thing. It also seems like you have to do 3 or 4 extra steps to make sure you turn off what you were doing to get back to home screen. That's a little annoying. Just got, so still learning and finding more nice features as I get to know this phone. Pricey, so make sure you get a good deal.

I bought this from a Best Buy Mobile location at Ingram mall. I got a great deal (they were doing the $50 gift card that I applied to this phone). It is extremely lightweight and durable. It's pretty quick for the Sprint Network and takes really great pictures. One thing I don't like about the phone is not being able to insert an SD card. Granted you get a lot of internally memory, but it was a pain to transfer all my music.

This phone has everything you need. Camera is good. LG Quickremote works flawlessly, is convenient, and saves time from having to reach for the remote when you already have you phone with you. LG knock code is my favorite lockscreen type, it uses a quadrant tile pattern and unlocks phone all with the screen off. I am a Nexus user so I'm used to blazing lag free stock software. While the LG UI is by no means slow in comparison to stock Android I'd give it a 8/10 because there are occasional studders here and there. This is my only complaint on the phone and reason for not giving a full 5★s
