Many appreciate the large screen size and ample storage options, along with the phone's overall performance. While some users mentioned minor software issues, the positive feedback on the phone's design and features outweighs the negative comments. I did my research before buying this phone. I wanted a camera that would not disappoint in manual or automatic mode. I wanted a phone that would take an SD card to keep my photos on without slowing down the phone due to full memory issues . I also wanted the option for a removable battery. I got what I wanted from this phone. If you have had an LG flag ship phone in the past, this doesn't disappoint. The only problem (personal use) is I would like longer battery life for the 3000 ma. That it has. I'll admit I take Alot of pictures with my phones. So 1/2 star for the battery and the other half for kind of clunky software

LG G4 is an excellent phone.

I had an LG G2 and actually lived with an older phone for 5 months waiting for the release of the G2 which performed flawlessly for over a year until I accidentally broke it (insert dumb home renovation task). I chose to buy the G4 at that time as a replacement. SCREEN: Better than G2 was. The G4 screen size is bigger. It's actually the same size as the Samsung Note 4 surprisingly. It is higher resolution and very easy to read/view/look at. The edges of the screen continue farther outward to the edges (bezel size is smaller). The touch sensitivity is consistent and as good or better than my G2's was. CASE: The new case styling is ultra sleek. I chose the blue diamond style over the leather not for any real reasons. I just liked it's appearance but it does come in variations - burgundy, silver/gray and even a leather. I like the curved back (see below) even more as time goes on. I did buy a minimalist protection case that is clear but only because I work in home remodeling and dirt/dust and "ooops!" happen. TECH: The technology is better now with the ability to add memory if you chose (G2 had no memory upgrade) even while I never found this phone to lack in memory storage but it's nice to know it can be upgraded. The CPU/GPU et al are faster. The camera is very good; rendering high resolution images quickly. The audio is better (see below). I especially like the built-in flashlight app in the pull-down status bar. LG removed the 6 scrolling screens for apps in favor of 2, plus their Smart screen which I may say is the only thing that's taken some getting used to. I never liked filling up a screen with popular/frequently used apps before and now I must since I have only 2 but with the added functionality the G4 has, I have realized I don't really need to scroll through 6 screens to find an app. GENERAL: Appearance of the phone is awesome - most minimal edges or bezel of any phone I've owned since 1992. Dimensionally it's very thin and with a curved back which is where the speaker is located (not on the end like the G2). This concerned me at first - not having the speakers on the end of the phone's case because I use my phone daily to play music while I work. However, I can report that somehow the G4's audio quality has improved even with this change. In fact I have noticed that I have turned-down the audio settings on almost all things because this phone is louder. Nice! In my family, almost everyone is Samsung and I know there is a large market share that is Apple but I took my time and focused on reviews, ratings and side x side comparisons and chose to go LG for my phone again. I mean they make great home appliances which we've had and they all stood the test of time (ie: washer & dryer are over 10 yrs old and still working flawlessly) so I had faith in their quality of workmanship and materials already. My LG G4 phone is the best so far.

The LG G4 is a solid, good quality phone. The Phone is not heavy even though it has a 5.5 inch screen. The screen resolution is top notch. Very Clear. The 16.1 megapixel camera is amazing. Clear pictures guaranteed every time. The different modes for the camera are unique too. From Simple/Auto/Manual. The battery life is decent. the Phone can last all day. Avg 8 hours. with medium usage. But if u are a heavy phone user. I would recommend a portable battery or carry your charger at all times. LG allows you to customize the phone even further. With different fonts and different themes. You can also resize the keyboard Overall Very Good Phone. Highly Recommend.

I have had this phone since 6/5, so about five days now. I really have enjoyed it, and I think it's a substantial upgrade over my previous LG device, the LG G2. My wife has the LG G3, and I can't say that I find it to be that much of a change over hers. The camera is fantastic for stills, and the video is just ok. The options in the settings for stills are remarkable. I have a full-blown dSLR, and the options for both are actually fairly comparable. There is a full manual mode that allows you to control all aspects of the operation, and any amateur photographer would be pretty impressed. The stills have a lot of pop and look great when displayed either on a TV, computer monitor, or even back on the phone. I have shot some 4k video on it and played it back on my 4k monitor on my computer with some very marginal results. There is a great deal of pixelization, and those expecting an experience to make videos that look like the test films shown in the stores will be sadly disappointed. Shooting in 1080p is good, but if you have a 27" monitor or larger, you again will see some lack of detail. I have tinkered a little bit with this by uploading to YouTube and by viewing directly off of my hard drive, and the results have been comparable. I really expected much better battery life than what I've gotten, but just like any Android, you get to the end of the day, and you will be looking for your charger. I wish I had better news, but the reports that you can get a full day out of this have not come to fruition. I'm looking forward to receiving the goods from the promotion LG is running for the extra battery, the battery charging cradle, and the 32GB microSD card - which is a GREAT promotion, by the way. I'm a pretty heavy user; so your results may vary, but I have noticed nothing different battery wise than I had with the G2. As far as the processor goes, I have actually noticed that this phone does stutter and stammer around at times toward the end of the day. I don't know if that's a byproduct of Android OS 5.1 or if it's an underpowered processor. I can usually do a quick restart, and it solves the problem. I do notice that heat is at times a factor, but it is the beginning of summer (at least in Georgia) so theoretically, my environment could be playing a role. I also have the black leather back with an additional Spigen Air Cushion case; so those could be trapping heat as well. The display is as good as any I've seen on any phone. It is very bright, very clear, and very "realistic." The reason I put realistic in quotes is because on other phones (Samsung, in particular), the picture is kind of cartoonish and oversaturated. I would say comparing this screen vs. the Samsung (and others) is like comparing a high-end plasma television vs. an LED. Don't get me wrong - I'm a Samsung guy. This isn't meant to be an attack on them, quite the contrary. I just find the LG display sharper and cleaner. Put the two next to each other, and you'll see for yourself. The phone is on the big side. I'm an average-sized, 5'11" guy with average-sized hands, and I can still just about do everything with one hand. I wanted bigger for the bigger display, and the tradeoff has been well worth it for the fantastic display. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the call quality is terrific. I haven't had any distortion or dropped calls at all, and the sound is terrific. It seems like when we research phones, we tend to forget that call quality is a big deal. I know that carrier is a factor, but sometimes the radio in the phone can be problematic. I've been through rural Georgia and both the calls and the data have worked very well wherever I've been. I'm on Sprint; so I'm sure those of you with AT&T and Verizon will have no problems in these areas either. If there's anything worth updating later down the road, I will. My guess is the only thing that will be worth mentioning will be any changes Android M may make on here.

I had an iPhone5 and it was the biggest lemon. I was going to get the lg g3, but then this phone was announced. I LOVE IT!!!!! The shape is perfect, the size is perfect and I'm so glad to get away from Apple. The battery life is incredible, and i have yet to have a dropped call (which happened all the time with my iPhone). I love the interchangeable battery, and the micro expansion disc. I hated that the iPhone was listed as 16GB, but was actually only 12GB. I was constantly running out of space. The only issue I have is that the phone gets warm when apps are in use. And Sprint sucks to loyal customers.

This is a terrific phone. It took a little bit of getting used to after switching over from my Samsung S4, but I opted to take LG up after Samsung's S6 refused to allow external memory inputs or easily replaceable batteries (like Apple's iPhone). To me, the strength of Android devices lies in their flexibility and adaptability. Samsung was going the wrong direction and I switched over. More about this phone though: fast processor, amazing camera, great battery management tools, and very nice screen resolution. The promotions they're running right now don't hurt, either. I don't regret switching to LG from Samsung one bit, but I do wish LG would consider adding a "menu" button in place of their "current apps" button.

I've had Samsung Galaxy phones for last 4 years and given the changes made for S6 I decided to switch to LG G4 and have not looked back since. The new phone is fast, great display, great camera and took no time at all getting used to. Android version is slightly different, but it was fast and intuitive to learn the small changes, in fact I like it better ! The double tap to turn on and off is neat and the buttons on front with no buttons on the sides at all is a good way to go. Overall, very happy with the purchase and the change made to LG !

    G4 - Better than Samsung

Ok, so they run the same operating system. LG has made a reliable, cool looking phone and the interface and little things are just cool enough to use and not be annoying. The G4 is quick and responsive. The one downside I have found is that the LG keyboard is a bit clunky at times and does seem to non-click occassionally(I press the letter but it doesn't do anything). Most people use Google Keyboard or some other app, so it shouldn't be a problem. The camera is unreal. 16MP is officially as big as my DSLR, and while it doesn't zoom or take quite as clear shots, there are times where it gets everything, down to the grain/texture of clothing, etc. I have had multiple comments about how good the pics look, including from my wife who uses the iPhone 6. The screen helps in the picture department, as it really pops. Best screen I have ever had. Pics are so clear and vivid, and movies/games are great too. I don't do 3D gaming, but other games are very detailed and of course no lag. My only real complaint is on the battery. It does seem to get eaten up pretty quick if I am running a lot of stuff, a bit more than my old Samsung, but I think the screen is part of that and I would sacrifice battery for this screen, even though I use this as my small business work phone as well and tend to run multiple emails, web pages, and apps at once. When running a lot, the back of the phone (black leather style) does tend to get very warm, but no issues with overheat or lagging as a result. Overall this is a great phone and I hope LG continues to make great products like this. It would be nice to have more choices than the 2 Samsung products, or moving over to the evil empire(lol) of Apple.

At first I was skeptical because the thought the phone was kind of big and I'm not a fan of bug phones. I wanted a HTC, but I must admit I like it. The screen is wide for a Great view like Netflix or Hulu. I love the camera and the selfie button on the back . Battery life is really good. Overall I'm very happy with my choice.

This is an excellent flagship device for 2015. Powerful processor, beautiful screen, amazing camera and good battery life. The design of the phone is a slight step back from the G3, but nonetheless a great phone. The slight curve helps to keep the screen from resting face down, and holding it is easy. LG still takes the cake with the rear power button and volume rockers, which are even improved over the G3 buttons. With a 16-megapixel camera, photos always come out great, and the RAW JPEG option gives you full control over your photos.

The lg g4 gives users the ability to change icons and their functions! I was sceptical about switching from an ios system to a droid based system but found it to be more updated. I do wish someone helped transfer my contacts over. There are many apps that help transfer iTunes music over. Overall I love the bigger screen and expandable memory! And the camera matches the quality of my Canon camera!!

I upgraded to this from HTC Evo 4G LTE and so far this is better in every way. Biggest pro for me is the ability to swap out the battery, which is a lifesaver on vacations when you can't find a place to charge up. Leather back is stylish and the camera takes amazing photos. Screen is perfect size and the resolution is stunning. User interface is intuitive and easy. This is the best Android phone, yet!

I had the LG G2 previously and loved the phone except for it not having a removable battery and no memory card support. I then had to upgrade, due to the screen cracking, and upgraded to a Samsung S5 and I liked having the memory card and removable battery, but I missed the LG simplicity and less bloatware. So when I got the opportunity to upgrade to the LG, I took it, and got the G4. I love the G4 as it has the removable battery and memory card support that I was missing in the G2 and I love the TV remote capability and the least amount of bloatware, in my experience. I have had the phone for a month and haven't experienced any issues with this phone so far. I am looking forward to a long and enjoyable experience with this phone.

Love my new phone. The Camera was the main reason for my purchase. It truly is excellent. Overall good hand set with a few downsides. Can get hot with long term use and the OS can use a little finessing. Historically I have been an HTC fan, but their camera sucked. I really really miss Blink Feed. If LG could finesse their UI to mirror Blink Feed, they would get a 5 star out of me. Overall still love my phone...js
